Some heroes don’t were cape
Thank you so much!!!! 🙌❤
I was wondering if you could provide your input on setting up and flying a visual approach to a specific runway using the GTN750? How to plan the descend and etc. Thank you!
Thank you very much for the video.
Your not teaching your showing your stuff. Thumbs down for me. Your showing how good you are
How else to teach something if i don't say what I know. There is no logic in your comment.
The hero we all needed
Thanks very useful tips
Oh, you are bringing back my flying experiences. Flying with the GARMIN is going to be a wonderful experience for me when I finally receive my Diamond 62. Again, thank you for your complete and useful presentations.
Thank you for your upcoming video on holding situations. It’s been a while.
Thank you. Your explanations are clear and well understood. I like how you decide to change something on the flight plan as we are flying. You explain every step clearly. I live in California and personal family medical problems stopped my flying and had to sell my aircraft 33 years ago. Now I am about to own a Diamond 62 in about a year and all of a sudden I have to get up to speed on “glass “ instrument panel. Your GARMAN 1000nxi presentations are just wonderful. I cannot believe how much easier it’s going to be to fly again. Thank you for your time and energy producing very useful training videos.
Awesome. Thanks so much.
Thank you the video. Which plane, where do I find to download?
This is the default plane in MSFS no need to download. It is already there. DA62.
I own this great joystick and have a question. Is there a way to mimic a long travel collective with curves in msfs? The left throttle are to sensitive and it is near impossible to hover due to the helicopter (cowansim 500e) going up or down. Can not hold the altitude.
Unfortunately, MSFS curves are not really that good. If you set long travel, it is going to be super sensitive, if you set short travel, you can have less sensitivity but it is going to be super short, no really golden middle in that. Maybe you can try experimenting with reactivity, but I'm not really sure how it works.
Great video!
I am a new user to MSFS and I was very frustrated with the Garmin G1000. I stumbled upon the video series produced by FlyOver and after going over 1,2 and 3 many times I was able to successfully complete an IFR GPS flight in a Cessna 172 equipped with a Garmin G1000 NXi from Regina Saskatchewan Canada to Saskatoon Saskatchewan. I would not have ben able to pernitrate the complexity of the G1000 with out the Videos you provided. I am looking forward to learning about the holds and other techniques. Thank You!!!
Thank you for the nice comment, happy to hear that my videos helped you. There will be more videos on the channel in some time. Also if you need one-on-one tutoring or instructions in MSFS and flying, I have an affordable program that I've been running for a while now and have plenty of happy students. Feel free to email me for details, the email is in the description of the channel, or you can join channel discord which is also in the description of the channel on the main page.
Very informative video thank you! I am still learning and notice that every single youtuber uses the legacy interaction system. Why is this? As a beginner, i find the tooltips mostly helpful and from trying legacy for a bit, it is impossible to see what setting most buttons and switches are on. Is this recommended mainly for immersion for more experienced captains? Thank you!
People switch to legacy because it is easier to control buttons and knobs in the cockpit, however, you can turn on Cockpit tooltips and highlights in legacy mode too, go to Options, and under Accessibility, just under the option to switch to LEGACY, you have 2 options to have MENU and INSTRUMENT tooltips, so whenever you mouseover instrument in the cockpit, it will pop the tip for it.
@FlyOverGames thanks for your reply! I don't know how I missed those options but I will enable them and see how I get on. I can always turn them off later then when I am more familiar with the plane.
That’s why my plane kept cutting thrust when I was taking off!!!
thank you so much, so much simpler, quick and informative!
And managed descent would be automatically going 3 degrees down? What if i wanted to sink in VS, how much ft/min would 3 degrees be there?
Excellent question, that depends on the distance from your destination and speed. There are free calculators that you can use for the descent, you need to know the present altitude, distance to the destination waypoint, altitude you want to be at the waypoint, and your speed. Search "flightsim.to" and you will find a calculator.
Beautiful presentation thank you sire!!!
Nice video, did I miss putting the flaps in landing configuration?
Yes you missed, 15:10 min.
Great channel. Greetings from Mostar. Are you a pilot?
Hi, and thank you for the comment. Please write English comments in the future, because most of the people here come from English-speaking regions.
Thanks
This was excellent, thank you! I was looking for a refresher in VOR work as I transition to G1000, so this video was perfect for my needs.
Very good tutorial- thank you
I cant seem to find any consistency in getting mcdu to load the simbrief flight plan. Ive had it do it on several occasions, but most of the time it says invalid entry and I end up doing it manually. What might I be missing in this process?
You must do something wrong, I never had issues with SimBrief and loading.
@@FlyOverGames ….yes, I just figured it out about 30 min ago. I had purchased another pmdg variant and never set it up in simbrief. It never occurd to me because the EFB was getting simbrief, but that is a completely different connection
Was there any option for flying directly to SIRMI without being put outside of the resulting plotted course? I saw that it said that its bearing was 08 and you set 07. But I would suspect that even setting 08 would still put you outside the course. You'd need decimals in order to get it exact, which is why I would hope that there was a "direct to" function. BTW: I think that you could use the Garmin to find the ILS frequency. I don't remember exactly how. I also think there was a way to specify the restrictions to say "not above altitude X" vs "not below altitude X". Again, I don't remember how. Excellent content, though, you are talking us through it. Very informative. Good work. I realize I may be late to the party, but something that I wonder about is if the Garmin can tell you what ATC you respond to at any given moment and find the transition points airspace to airspace so that you can prepare the frequency change before being instructed by ATC. Can you get the approach card from the Little Navmap or some other source that doesn't cost money? The range button also has a PAN function. So you can move the map sideways. You don't have to wait for something to get close before you can zoom in on it. I believe you click the top and drag your mouse. When making a GPS turn and adjusting your heading bug and also when setting the heading bug for takeoff, you can just press the top of the heading knob and it will set your current heading.
Thank you for the comment, but all the things you mentioned are not related to this video, because this video was recorded before the G1000NXi update, so all the functions are not there, just basic GPS with some functions. I have to record a new tutorial since G1000 is updated with the NXi version and has so many new features. To answer your question, there are charts for the USA for free, for the rest of the world unfortunately you will have to play Navigraph subscription.
Little NavMap starts at @12:30
does it work with the 747 & Airbus 320neo?
Does, WHAT work ??
why does the DA50 have a level button and the DA62 doesn't
I have no idea, I never had any contact with DA50
Very well done! Exactly what I was looking for. The part that confuses me is that if the constraint said 6000, why did it go to 5700?
sim is not always very smart hehe
Thank you so much!! I was told to get off Vatsim bc I couldn’t control the headings or speed, your video helped me so thanks so much man!! Just Subscribed ❤
Brilliant Flyover! I am so glad smart people share their knowledge! I confess I'm going to have to watch 1, 2 and 3 again, but that's the beauty of KZread!
Thanks Flyover! Very useful tutorial. I've subscribed and liked! I'm onto Part II!😉
Thank you, soon will be updated version of this.
Just had to ask why is that when I descend it doesn’t descend I also push the button too and it still doesn’t descend
Maybe VNAV was not configured properly, next time if doesn't descend, try to pull the button and go to open descent.
A year later it’s still the best tutorial out there. If only you could like things twice lol
Still can't assign it on my HOTAS :(
Can't assign what exactly?
I'm flying the Tecma, 2012 and the Bearing buttons of the Garmin G1000NXI are not doing anything.
The bearing button works only if you are in ILS or LOC mode, not working in GPS mode.
but the CDI button doesn't work either, nothing happens when I press it.@@FlyOverGames
@@GBTC2011 Maybe the mod is bad, i really cannot know, I never tried this mod. If everything is working on other airplanes and not working on this one only, then the addon is bad, and my recommendation is to remove it from MSFS.
Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have watched three of you videos. Enjoyed all three. I'm still experiencing a couple of issues concerning Little nav map and the NXI. When I create a flight plan and load it into the simulator and I try to go into AP it will not engage. Do I have to load the flight plan directly into the NXI rather than load the flight plan from the PC. Your help will be welcomed. By the way I live in Phoenix AZ USA. Great how we can communicate from AZ to Croatia.
Hey, thank you for the comment. Both ways are good, there is no difference really.
Nice. Thanks. I wanted it to always be ready to connect jetway, but for some reason they have it defaulted with stairs. I kept removing stairs but didn’t know how to save it
My pc is set to lock in the required setting.
What?
I know how to save a flight with engines off i like to have batteries and bus transfer ready for apu start , why is the plane running the next time? Or do i name it default?
Need to set it as a default state, in FMC have the option of what preset to set as default to load every time, so you need to set your preset to be default.
this was excellent! I'm not able to climb above 5,000ft fast enough! :) this was part of my problem, not knowing how to use the push pull!
Thanx a lot. Great video ❤
Great video. Thanx ❤
Thanks a lot, finally an explanation. Appreciated it. CHEERS
Exactly what I was looking for, thanks.
