This channel is all about baby swimming and teaching children how to swim in a fun and safe way. I have been a swimming teacher for 20 years and am also a mum to two toddlers so I am very passionate about teaching babies to swim. have come up with my own techniques over the years and now use them to teach my own children how to swim. Swimming is so important and can be learned from a very young age. All these lessons that you see are conducted under strict about supervision. Even when children are able to swim never leave them unattended. Swimming is a life skill that enables you to enjoy so many other activities. It can also save your life. Some of these easy to follow methods can be used at home in the bath or even at a swimming pool. Swim lessons should be enjoyable and fun for both you and your child. If you have any questions please just leave me a comment on the relevant video.

Thank you so much so glad you enjoyed the video 😊
Holding my breath underwater is my favorite thing about swimming
That’s my favourite thing too 😌
@@TheSwimTeacher 3 to 4 minutes was my time underwater, but on land I did 8 minutes
No way that’s incredible well done 👍
@@TheSwimTeacher Underwater is where I feel at home, but there are instances when I need air before going back down
Of course! We all need air some time 😜
At what age can they start doing this?
They could do this as soon as they are able to hold their breath for more than 20 seconds. This is mostly achieved from about age 3.5/4 years. How old is your child?
@@TheSwimTeacher I’m a swim coach of all ages. I wanted to try with me 2 year olds but I’ll just wait until they turn 3.5
Ah okay no worries! Good luck with it all
Thank you for this information. You are great!
You are so welcome!

What do you recommend doing for a child (he’s just shy of 2yrs) who hates having water dumped on his head? We do this in the bathtub and he always gets upset when water gets in his eyes. Thank you!
Thank you for your comment. I would stop putting water on his head and instead start to teach him to put his own face in the water. Start small with first closed lips, then nose then eyes. My little girl is 2 and this is what we practice with her. I will make a video for you this week and share so please keep checking 😀 I hope this helps
thanks for posting such amazing video😍i’d like to know the temperature of the water you use during the bath swimming training?
Hi thank you for your comment our bath is normally between 32-34 degrees. This I find is the most comfortable temperature for babies this age. Of course if you live in a warmer climate you could make the water cooler but I would stick to a minimum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. I hope this helps
I started teaching waterbaby classes one year ago. Im still learning! Your videos are terrific.
Aw thank you so much so lovely to hear!
Mine won't stay still even for half a min and would not want me anywhere near her. 😂
Oh no! This happened to my eldest he decided he was done listening for a whole year then he turned 4 and all of sudden has come back round. Sometimes you just have to give it time.
Thank you teacher .. let this become my morning routine 😊
Perfect!
Your gorgeous 😍 ❤ Wish you could teach me I'd be a great student. I always found it hard to learn but im now 29 and can swim fine 🙂
That’s great to hear! Keep going swimming is the best sport around!
Great teaching. But the little sweetie needs a better looking doll than a pink hair'd barbie. How about a doll that looks like a sweet, little baby?
Great idea! I shall definitely look into this for her bday 😜

Hi there, How are you? I sow your videos, your video quality is good but not properly SEO. Your SEO score is very poor. That's why your channel is not growing organically. SEO means Search Engine Optimization. I think you understand, for views, subscriber and comments your video should be rank on top of the KZread, Proper SEO that means keyword session ( low competitor keyword selection) can help your channel to ranking on the top. Thank You
Thank you for your comment. I am working on my SEO skills so thank you for your feedback. I definitely can do better at this for sure
@@TheSwimTeacher tnx mam

Thank you for this video. I have a 2yr old who loves the water, but I didn't know what steps to take next. Looking forward to our next pool trip to try out these tips. Also could I adapt all these steps with older kids?
Thank you for watching so glad you are going to try the techniques. These can of course be adapted for older children. How old are your older kids?
@TheSwimTeacher my daughter, has advanced drastically within days. My 7yr old can hold his breath under water for 15 seconds, but isn't confident in learning how to swim. I'm just trying to find techniques and ways for him to get comfortable enough to learn the basics. Baby still just wants to have fun, too much laughing to hold her breath 🤣, but I will keep trying.
wow this is amazing to hear!! I am so glad this video is helping.@@phattmamaskitchen
Great video. This makes so much sense. Thank you!
Hi thank you so much for your sweet comment I really appreciate you taking the time to watch this video
Please keep posting videos to how to teach ISR to babies. I have a 13 months old that I would love for her to learn that technique. Thank you!
Hi thank you for your comment. I don’t unfortunately teach ISR. Hope you enjoy the videos 😀
hello! these are great! how long (days/weeks/months) should you practice the conditioning phrase with them before finally dipping them underwater? We've always made sure to pour water over our babies head at bath time since birth, but we didn't add in a phrase until a couple weeks ago. She is 9 months now. Thanks!
Thank you for watching and for your comment. I would say to practice until your little one closes their eyes and mouth on the word go then you know they are ready to be taken under water. Usually it takes 6 weeks but all children are different so take your cues from your little one. Good luck 🤞
This works
Thank you so much for watching and commenting I’m glad I could help
When you teach water trappen to kids 2-5 years old?
Hi thank you for watching and commenting. What do you mean by trappen? I’m not familiar with the word
👇
How to say to the 2 years old kid ?
Hi thank you for watching and for commenting please watch my latest video and see the conditioning part as this is what can be used to help two year olds. Good luck 🤞
Great video, thanks! I love the backdrop too! ☀️
Thank you so much 😊

My 21 month old baby doesn’t want to kick. How can I help him? Any tips? Thank you
Hi apologies for the late reply. So the best thing you can do for your little one is to just repeat repeat repeat, and make it a fun game. When my toddler didn’t want to kick I would try to pretend that I didn’t want him slashing me in the face with water from his feet. I made a big thing about it. So he kicked so much in order to splash me. I also like to do races which is also a way to encourage them to kick in order to beat you. Also plenty of praise when they do kick. Good luck I hope this helps
I am going to use the conditioning, I’ve had success with other elements but need to work on underwater
No problem at all hope it all goes well 😊
Helpful
Thank you for watching
Hi .I liked it. Greetings from Egypt
Thank you glad you enjoyed the video
I love how you keep the time so positive, wonderful technique.
Thank you so lucky I do try my best 😊
I think you’re the best one for my swimming lesson. I like to do swimming lessons. Yeah I like that so today I need to put my swimming lessons please 😊
Sure no problem I hope you enjoy the videos and if you have any questions please feel free to let me know
Where are the videos for the other 3 skills?
Great question 🙋♀️ I will get to making them. I moved countries after this video was made and had a baby so I completely forgot to complete the series. Please stay tuned for the other videos
I can’t open my eyes underwater because I panic, do you have any tips on how to do it?
So I would definitely recommend goggles… or are you wearing goggles when you say you can’t open your eyes already? Let me know and I can send some tips
What’s a good way to explain teaching breathing to other parents? I get confused on how to teach ages 2 and up breath holding
Thank you so much that is super sweet of you to say😊
