I think Intelligence is overrated, when discussing how it decides who will be successful in life. Ask parents of multiple children, and you will hear that the most successful children were not necessarily the ‘gifted’ children with high IQ’s… but the children who just worked the hardest. I think that is a very underrated variable , and should be rated higher than the variable of IQ. ❤

Our intellectual ability is in our genes. Nurture just helps to open it up.

This might sound crazy but dropping out of high school in the 9th grade was one the best things that happened to me, I learned more in the real world by what I watched, and reading different books that were not available in high school.

It's a terrible fact that so much of what Thomas Sowell says is considered wisdom now, but was plain old common sense 50 years ago. Thomas Sowell is a national treasure. He keeps common sense alive.

Don't waste your money by trying to look like you have money when starting out. I'm talking about buying expensive cars you can't afford that are worth less than what you paid 5 minutes after buying them and also insane $800 a month car leases. Stay in school and find a good job or career you like and you will get there. Too many young people want to get rich immediately or even worse waste money on bling what does nothing for them.

Some consume and some produce, the consumers consume till resources is depleted then move on, producers stay and keep producing, consumers cant produce and have out bred their ability to sustain themselfes and just keeps moving to new areas where they can consume.

So slavery wasn’t confiscation of human capital? BS detected Dr. Sowell… Reparations are due to African descendants of slavery… whether or not any of us are deported to our continental homelands should be up to the original inhabitants of this land.
