We appreciate your honesty and candor on this subject Wayne. I curate the list of creators that I follow to include honest, genuine personas. I do not use Tretinoin. I have been using Adapalene for a few years now because at 36, I'm still dealing with acne as well as starting to see more signs of aging. I may move up to Tret at some point, but I'm not in a hurry. I have no interest in botox, fillers, other cosmetic procedures at this time. I'm also using Vitamin C, Peptides, SPF. Skincare is all about consistency and playing the long game.

You're comparing apples to oranges when you're discussing this cream v botox for forehead wrinkles. The cream treats the skin, the botox treats the underlying muscle structure. You can check the cream's efficacy by looking at how visible yoiur pores are. There is no need to turn to KZread or any other social media on this topic when the USFDA has numerous efficacy studies available to the public. This is the only compound approved by the FDA as proven to boost collagen production in skin. You're correct that it's only one component of a multi-layered anti-aging approach. But how can you possibly evaluate how effective it is, when you're not separating out the specific issues this cream is meant to address? Forehead wrinkles are muscle driven, this cream treats skin / fine wrinkles from collagen loss, not underlying muscles.

Retinol HAS made a difference in my skin appearance and in softening of wrinkles. The difference has been so noticeable that I receive comments often of how great and flawless my face looks. I had scent skin prior when all I used was cleanser. If you are someone who has deep lines or greater texture issues than I did, perhaps this is possible.

You did a wonderful job and you taught me well. Thank you! I'm a 47 year old woman and you taught me everything I need to know about how to do my own make-up... This particular video is exactly how I do my own (not as well of course), natural and never too much...so this definitely resonated with me. I really enjoyed watching you!

Thanks for pointing this out, several I have watched do this and then finally they admit they have had procedures done. One that I have watched is in her early 40’s and her uncle is a dermatologist, just sayin.

I’ve been using prescription Retin A for 30+ years, and don’t have any wrinkles. I’m 64. Botox does smooth the skin, but, repeated use can have the effect of pulling the skin down.

Tretinoin is great but I really believe it's way too over hyped (Just helped with my texture skin abit). Also, retinol is waste of money compared to Tretinoin (prescription) and people use hundreds of dollars a year on this useless product from brands. During the years I have tried almost everything to look younger, anything from face exercises, vitamin C serum, Fraxel, collagen supplements and of course Retin A (7 years straight). However, nothing made any real difference compared to the high-quality derma pen I purchased for under 100 bucks. Within 3 months of use, my skin has improved DRAMATICALLY. I don't look like I'm in my 20s again, but definitely not 49 either. My fine lines have disappeared completely, and my nasolabial folds are way less prominent. People often underestimate the power of wounding and the revolutionary effects it can have on the skin.

Shhhh...don't tell everyone! (Joking) Ive been microneedling for almost 10 years - most guess I'm @ 15 YEARS younger than my birth certificate says. I DO it myself at home, quote aggressively in places, and lightly in others,,maybe 1x month. I am 63

+1 for kora. I've been microneedIing my skin since it became "popular" about 13 years ago. Nobody believe I am 55. They all say I am in my 30's or early 40's. As we get older, our skin gets thinner = wrinkles\sagging. Wounding forced my body to produce high amount of collagen which kept my skin still thick and youthful. Your comment will help so many women to restore their skin..

Help! As relates to Wayne’s 2nd recommendation, did I misunderstand or is he including prescription strength retinoids (ex Tretinoin) as one you can apply directly under eye? If so, has anyone on here done this? I could be wrong but I thought that was a major no no because the under eye area was way too delicate for prescription retinoids which is why I assumed derms (and the package insert also, I thought?) say to avoid putting Tretinoin near the eyes; there’s also ophthalmologists warning it can cause applying it under eye can cause permanent dry eye. Or has anyone on here been able to work up to and tolerate Tret under the eyes? Maybe that’s why he’s saying do no more than twice a week but I thought that part of warning was in regard to slugging over moisturizer over retinoid as that would really lock in what I expect would already be irritating. I appreciate any advice. Thanks all!😊

If you use the right primer in your 40's, the pores won't be visible on your nose and you won't have dry spots (from your skin, not from the foundation). As long as you keep your brushes clean with their "Well-cared For" brush conditioning shampoo about once a month, the foundation will continue to look flawless. I'm 43 and have been using Bare Minerals for over 20 years now and will never use anything else again!

I get it. I have had this exact thought run through my mind. After I began using the cream, I just recently started eating healthier, workout on a regular, monitor my sleep, moisturize, micro needling every 4-8 weeks. So, I'm not entirely sure what is working, all I know is that I can see drastic improvements.

Yep. I've only been on Tretinoin for a few months. Skin is definitely softer, but I also have done filler years ago. And Fraxel lasers, chemical peels and regular facials. I look younger than my real 45, but it's a combo of different things.

My mom’s been using it for years and years and has AHMAZING skin she didn’t get Botox till 45. Botox can stop some movement in certain areas but tret helps with the texture, hyperpigmentation, pores etc. and also does help with some wrinkles. I use tazrotene instead because tret just made my acne worse.

I’m so happy that you are speaking on this. I believe I watched the same video as you…I remember thinking her face isn’t moving and she wasn’t emoting at all despite speaking. It was really weird. She said that she used tret for 20 yrs or something like that. She didn’t say she hadn’t had anything else done but she also lead you to believe that it was only from using one product. It’s sad bc there are people out there that truly believe it too.

It’s also important not to use tretinoin everywhere. For example, heavy use under the eyes will cause the skin to hit a The Hayflick Limit - which actually causes skin stress and can age the tissue. I’m a big fan of sandwich layering.
