@@NINJAof1 thanks a ton :)
Chris is so humble and chill, having people with knowledge and love for the sport is a win.🏆✌🏾
Kris is the Man!
I have the same bike! So far on mine I've done tst fender Elim. And the integrated taillight. Yoshimura at2 slip on (breather box delete). Which air filter do you recommend?
My riding is a mix between the street and track, so I like the K&N. I have it on all bikes and cars. Easy to clean and reuse. If you're doing track stuff exclusively, then I'd recommend the Sprint P08 or alike. The P08 will give you a slight increase in horsepower over K&N but comes with the risks of having a thinner element. If either are used and maintained correctly, they will protect and last a very long time. Thank you for comment/question.
Can’t get the Philip heads off they stripped instantly
Another subscriber had the same issue (@johnklein6322) and I posted the following: ***@johnklein6322, the screws I took off for the passenger seat were the passenger seat locking mechanism bracket screws (that's what I call it in the video). I used a large Phillips head screwdriver bit-kit. This way I had a choice of bits that would properly fit in the screw head. There's a lot of locktight on those screws, for good reason. Once I knew I had a properly fitting bit, I just put all my weight down and turned. Taking the locking seat mechanism off allowed me to remove the small angle bracket used to secure the ECU.*** He said he was going to go to a machine shop, but he never posted how he got the screws out. I reached out to him today to find out what he did. When/if he replies, I'll let you know. Thank you.
@Chewychris66, @johnklein6322 said he drilled the screws out and re-tapped the threads. I also mentioned this as an option for him Below: There's a lot of lock tight on those screws. I believe it is blue. Heating, Small drill in the center of the screw and extractor is the preferred way. Worst case scenario, you may have to drill out the remainder of the screw and use a Heli-coil kit. If you're lucky and don't drill too big of a hole, you may be able to salvage the existing threads. You want to be able to replace the screws with the same size (length) and type screw that has a flat/flush head. This will allow the screw to go through the locking mechanism bracket and also allow the passenger seat/pillion cowl to mount properly. Hope that helps. Let me know. Thank you If you are able to salvage the threads on the sub-frame or you use a Heli-coil kit, the part number for the OEM screws is: 92172-1432 If you are not comfortable doing this, take it to a dealer service department. If you are unable to take the bike into service, then take the four hex-bolts off the side of the sub-frame (2 on each side) and remove any other components attached to the top portion of the sub-frame. When reinstalling, make sure you torque those four hex-bolts to spec.
Wondered how you made that mount fit, choice ill do the same to my bike thanks for the content.
Thank you for the comment. This is the same way I did it for my H2 and ZX10. Let me know if you have any questions.
Nice vid. Thanks!
Thank you.
Nothing to do with your 6. I know you did a zx10r. I’m making a shopping list for mine. I’m considering stacks and block off plates. Can’t decide. Any thoughts? Worth it? A friend swears I’d be thrilled with some velocity stacks. Never had em, can’t decide. Thinking maybe I might, don’t want to do it after I flash the bike.
My understanding is the after-market or older ZX10R versions of velocity stacks add a small amount of mid and top end horsepower (3-5). In my opinion, the stock stacks do just fine for my riding style. I don't plan on maxing out the engine to get HP that I will never use. With the mods I have now (Cat delete, SC Project Mid-pipe and slip-on, Emissions Delete, Block-off plates, BMC Race Air Filter, and ECU Flash by Morre Mafia), there's probably 190-195 HP, which I will probably never reach. Some of the velocity stacks I've seen are fairly expensive. So, in my opinion, it isn't worth it for me. BTW: The PlayList link below will take you to the entire build series for the ZX10R. The first video in the series has detailed instructions on all the mods I did, in the order I did them, a link to the related video with an embedded time stamp for all the activities, part #/description/etc. You can download the instructions and/or the parts list from the NINJAof1 Google drive in Excel or PDF. All the information to get to these files are in the description of that first video in the PlayList. Which screen protector is that?
This is OEM from Kawasaki. The parts list is in the description.
It may just be on my device but the music is competing with your voice
I purposely faded the music in the background while talking. The more important stuff I talk about has no music in the background.
So would you recommend making the hole in the bracket bigger for the wires or would you still shave the connectors to fit them through?
I only had to shave down just a little from the sides of the Blue and Black connectors for the turn signals. I just stayed away from where the detent tab was so it would still be functional and lock. I think if you tried to make the hole bigger it may bend or distort the bracket. If I had to do it again, I'd do it the same way as the video. After shaving down the sides of the turn signal connectors I put those through the hole first then the license plate light connector last. Not having the license plate wire in gives you just enough room to slide the shaved-down turn signal connectors. Hope that helps. Thank you.
@@NINJAof1 ok, I’m about to jack it all up but…
Just take your time. You'll never have to mess with routing the connectors through the hole again. Even when you take the bracket off for a track day, you can disconnect them and remove the entire assembly. That's what I did last track day.
If there is any complaint to be had about this video it is that it’s too in-depth lol. Awesome video I just purchased a 2024 ZX 10R and I want to do most of the work myself so I’m sure I will be able to accomplish everything that I want to do to my bike from your videos, thank you.
Thank you for Subscribing and the comment. My goal for the 10 series was two-fold: Be as detailed as possible for those who want to do it right and provide real-life troubleshooting for anyone doing something like this for the first time. I appreciate the detail I just got my 24 zx6r 40th. It will be interesting to see how the ram mount clears the steering dampener.
I have a trick up my sleeve that I did for the ZX10R. You're the first to spot that obstacle. Thank you for the comment.
Not to be that guy, but i heard you’re supposed to put them back the way the came from. Apparently turtles map out their whole environment which they will spend their lives which is like a 100 yard space, and they never leave it. If they do they can get lost and die/starve. You did good saving him though.
I put the turtle on the ground in the direction it was going, maybe five yards from where it was in the middle of the road. Much of the wildlife has been displaced because all that land on the left side of the road was cleared for housing. This area is notorious for wildlife (Deer, Rabbits, Squirrels, and Turtles) being struck by cars. I believe you're supposed to wait and observe the Turtle cross the road safely. When Turtles cross the road, it means rain is coming. It rained that evening. I did a bit more research and learned something new. Thanks for the comment.
I've been following this entire modification series and just wow! The amount of detail is much appreciated and the enthusiasm you have for every video is contagious. I purchased the same bike 2 months ago and Absolutly love it. Glad to see you enjoying the bike and modding it. Keep up the videos and ride safe! Two wheels one love!
That was nice. Thank you. I do try my best, but I must confess, there are so many minor errors in almost every video, that I was thinking about making a corrections video. Most won't catch them, but I know they're there. Of course, I only see them after they've been posted and I get a decent number of views. Oh well, no matter what you do, there's always going to be booboos.. Thank you for the comment.

Glad it helped you. I still have some surprises with the ZX10R this summer. The H2 will be getting its first Valve Adjustment. Thank you.
FINALLY some one is installing a LEGAL tail unit. Only thing missing is the rear red reflector. Yosh always did make good stuff. I have a set of rear sets from them. Yes, they made rear sets, still do, just very limited…..kind got to know somebody that knows somebody for retail.
You are correct about the rear reflector missing. These side and rear reflectors work great at night, making you more visible to vehicles approaching from the rear, left, or right. I do not ride at night or during inclement weather, ever. The only issue I've ever experienced with the Yoshimura Fender Eliminator was when I was pulled over on my H2 for the Year/Month sticker being obscured from the Yoshimura Frame Bracket (no ticket). I think the Officer just wanted to look at the bike. I corrected this by placing the new sticker slightly higher in the bottom right corner of the plate. I like the Yoshimura kit because I can easily remove it in preparation for a track day. Later this year I will be installing a full system exhaust and removing the Exhaust Flapper valve motor/cables, which will make removing the bracket even easier. Thank you for the comment and subscription.

People definitely see you on the road, and you are correct, the colors go very well together. Thanks for the comment.
Went into the dealer Saturday and finally saw that bike in person...oh man! Such a beauty! Probably end up with one myself
🤙You'll love riding it, take it from me. Capturing footage of it's first oil change and some minor mods: Tank Pads, OEM Steering Damper, Battery Tender pigtail, Yoshimura Fender Eliminator, Pillon Cowl, and RAM Mount. Already put a FirePower Lithium battery in for its first startup. I plan on doing a full exhaust in the early Fall along with an emission deletion, race air filter and ECU Tune. Not sure where I'll go next, but I do want to try someone new every time I flash. I may go with 2 Wheel DynoWorks. Later in the year I'll start shopping for a race fairing kit and take it out on the track early next year... maybe late this year...who knows. Thanks for the comment.
Do you have a video perhaps of the front fairing stay? I was wondering which bolts and screws I need to check on mine. The mirrors as well as the front cowl assembly on my bike are a bit on the bouncy side. Maybe I need to re-tighten them. **Edit** Looks like you tightened a couple of screws @2:51. I think those screws are what I need to check on my bike. Once I removed the front top cowl I'll check for other bolts and screws that holds the front fairing stay bracket in place and tighten them as needed.
There are 3 x 10mm bolts that secure the Cluster/Fairing Stay Bracket to the Air Intake. 1 bolt is black, which goes through a small tab on the Air Intake Chamber (Small cylindrical part) and 2 silver bolts. You can see this on the video titled "(012) Final Emission Deletion" (Link Below) at time mark 8:52. I reassemble this later in the same video at time marker 20:06 after removing the Air Intake Chamber, Actuator, Flapper Valve, and Solenoid. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZGF1qM9veMrQZ9Y.html After installing the 3 bolts to the Stay Bracket and then mounting the Nose Cowl onto the Stay Bracket there are 4 Black Hex Bolts that mount the Mirrors (2 each) and Nose Cowl together onto the Stay Bracket. Finally, there are 2 additional screws, which are part of the 6 screws that mount the wind screen to the Nose Cowl, located on the bottom left and right of the Wind Screen. NOTE: The Stay Bracket has 2 floating small tab brackets with compression rubber nuts, this is where the two bottom Wind Screen screws go after mounting the Nose Cowl and Screen together. 3 x 10mm Bolts for the Stay Bracket (1 Black & 2 Silver) 4 Black Hex Bolts for the Mirrors 2 small Hex Screws for the bottom of the Wind Screen and Nose Cowl If you want to see how I put the Nose Cowl on, go to the video titled "(016) Assembly of the Fairings" (Link Below) at time marker 1:45. kzread.info/dash/bejne/dmmD1suun5C6lLw.html Last NOTE: Make sure the 4 Hex Bolts that mount the Air Intake to the front of the frame are also tight. @@NINJAof1 Wow many thanks for the links, time stamps and additional details, much appreciated! I'll go through the videos first and will go from there. Thanks again!
@@NINJAof1 Thanks again, the clip in 012 is exactly what I'm looking for! This will be a huge help to me. Last question if I may. Is the front stay bracket made of metal? or maybe plastic?
I believe the Stay Bracket is made of a high tensile composite ABS plastic. It is not metal. The threaded portions are metal nuts molded into the bracket. This is why you want to torque the mirror bolts to spec so as to not strip the nuts from the stay bracket.
@@NINJAof1 Copy that. Many thanks for the tip :)
This a good starter bike?
I think so too. It won't be by this Fall when I get the full exhaust, emission deletion, air filter, and tune. Then it's ready for the track... Thanks for the comment and stay tuned. There's a lot more ZX6R stuff coming.
@@NINJAof1 👀,, lmk what exhaust system you get cause im thinking about getting a bike soon
I haven't decided which, but I'm hoping SC gets one developed for the 2024 6R, similar to what I have on the ZX10. I'll start looking in September and hopefully there will be more choices by then for what I like.

Do you have a film when you check and adjust the valve clearance of the engine ? Thanks
I haven't done a valve adjustment yet on the ZX10. My Dad showed me how to do a valve adjustment on my 2003 ZX12R back in 2005. The hardest part was making sure and double-checking clearances for the replacement shims. My 2016 H2 is coming up on its next valve adjustment and I will definitely be capturing that. I think it will be sometime late next year. The best place to start is the Service Manual. Another thing that will help is making a chart that allows you to capture gaps between the bucket and cam lobe for each of the 16 valves (2 intake and 2 exhaust) before removing the cams and changing the necessary shims out. Then you use the service manual to determine the tolerances, which will allow you to identify the correct shim size. NOTE: Kawasaki recommends using the OEM shim parts listed in the service manual. The rest of the disassembly and assembly is covered fairly well in the manual such as the position for each piston when checking gaps for the intake and exhaust, etc. Hope that helps.
Thanks
Its not yet the moment to check the valves on my zx10r ,mayby you have done yours and i can see the video ,video's are very good from you ,top thanks
These videos are great...Thanks for taking the time to do all of this!!!
Thank you. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
Got rid of the rear seat on my ‘24 ZX10R as well. Now I’m looking to delete the rear foot pegs. Would appreciate any info on where to get OEM exhaust support bracket without foot peg, and OEM blocking plate for the left side.
I do not know of any manufacturers that make a hanger for a stock zx10r. I have an SC project short slash cut that does not need the hanger. I used plastic panel rivets (multiple size kit) to plug the bolt holes for the rear foot peg mounting brackets attached to the sub-frame. This was very inexpensive, looks good, and can easily be removed without damage. I cover this in the video titled "(008) Passenger Foot Peg Brackets/Bonus" (link below). Let me know if you find someone that has the part you're looking for. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ka2GtadxhNXLm9Y.html
Awesome. Thank you for your response.
Hello Chris. I wanted to ask your opinion on a set of guards I saw on Amazon. While I’d love to buy these ones you have installed, they are a bit pricey at $132. The ones on Amazon go for $75. I wanted to ask what would you do in my case. And what might be some pros and cons with the set from Amazon. Thank you in advance.
Five factors that are important are quality of material, fitment, functionality, and looks. Price is usually the last thing I'm factoring in when I make a purchase. If the price of the part matches my factor preferences, then it's a win for me. Usually, prices are high when those factors are met or exceed your expectations. I've learned over time, If you go with the less expensive ones, you're going to probably have to modify something, either the part or your bike in the best case scenario. Worst case scenario, the part won't fit at all. I would always recommend going with a known vendor that has a sound history with manufacturing parts. I like the Evo-tech Performance radiator and oil cooler guards because of the precise fitment, quality of the part, the way it looks, and the fact I can remove and replace it without fear of damage when cleaning the bike. Side note: I purchased a cheap radiator guard on Amazon for the 14, and it was of very poor quality and fitment. I wanted something to protect it while on the track. You would never notice the issues unless you were up close. It served its purpose, but it is definitely not something I will keep long term. BLUF: Purchase the one that will serve the purpose long term. Hope that helps.
MY KQS IS way more sketchy sounding than yours, i get bucked in 1st-2nd-2nd 3rd
I'm 6', and well over 200 with gear. If you're lighter, I'd suspect the KQS would be more responsive pulling-wise.

I hope to take my 22 XSR900 to Barber sometime this year as I don't live that far away, but when I lived in northern CA I was only about 25 minutes away from Sonoma Raceway; I'd just ride the bike to the track and back. I do think big bikes are really hard to ride around the track. Us smaller bikes were almost always faster than the bigger bikes because we had plenty of time to set the corner speed. With bigger bikes (I've never ridden a big bike around a track), it seems that bigger bike riders arrive at corners as such high speeds that it's really hard to judge cornering speeds, so it'd usually be way too much braking. One instructor mentioned most newer riders can lap a track in 5th gear much faster than using all the other gears. Like, just keep the bike in one fairly high gear and concentrate on proper braking and reasonable (not high) cornering speeds.
Appreciate the tips. Thank you for commenting. BTW: I am modding a 2024 ZX6R in preparation for a track next year. Check it out at kzread.info/dash/bejne/mXZ2upNtdJTXhrQ.html
if i may make a suggestion - the GRAVES progressive throttle tube is a great upgrade as it not only takes out 90% of the slop of the stock throttle tube, but it also gives more control and shortens the twist - which translates to less wrist fatigue. i paired it with better grips (renthal), which improve the feel.. kawasaki stock grips are nothing short of kids' bicycle jelly grips. overall, it just improves the riding experience!
Great suggestion. I will definitely look at adding this mod to the final performance mods this Fall. Thank you.
