2024 ZX6R, 40th Anniversary Edition: Install the Ram Mount Stem Base, Tank Pads & Screen Protector

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this video I'll be installing the Ram Mount Base Fork Stem onto a 2024 ZX6R, 40th Anniversary Edition with an Ohlins Steering Damper already installed. This is a must-watch video for anyone who thought they had to change to a different Phone/Camera Mount. I also install the Tank Pads and Screen Protector. There are some good tips on mounting the tank pads you don't want to miss. Time-Stamped Links to each mod are below.
00:51 - Introduction
02:25 - Install Ram Mount Stem Base
08:40 - Install Tank Pads
13:57 - Install Screen Protector
In the next video I'll be riding the ZX6R to test out the Tank Pads and Ram Mount. Later on, I'll be stopping buy Kawasaki Suzuki of Rome, in Rome, Georgia, to show the bike to Jimmy (Owner) and others, to get their first impression of the 6R's transformation thus far. The next major mod, coming this Fall, for the 6R will be a full-system exhaust from Graves along with the standard emission deletion, air filter, and ECU flash (where TBD).
******There are plans in July to do a valve adjustment and fork seal replacement on my 2015 H2. More to follow......

Thank you for the comment. This is the same way I did it for my H2 and ZX10. Let me know if you have any questions.

It may just be on my device but the music is competing with your voice

I purposely faded the music in the background while talking. The more important stuff I talk about has no music in the background.

Nothing to do with your 6. I know you did a zx10r. I’m making a shopping list for mine. I’m considering stacks and block off plates. Can’t decide. Any thoughts? Worth it? A friend swears I’d be thrilled with some velocity stacks. Never had em, can’t decide. Thinking maybe I might, don’t want to do it after I flash the bike.

My understanding is the after-market or older ZX10R versions of velocity stacks add a small amount of mid and top end horsepower (3-5). In my opinion, the stock stacks do just fine for my riding style. I don't plan on maxing out the engine to get HP that I will never use. With the mods I have now (Cat delete, SC Project Mid-pipe and slip-on, Emissions Delete, Block-off plates, BMC Race Air Filter, and ECU Flash by Morre Mafia), there's probably 190-195 HP, which I will probably never reach. Some of the velocity stacks I've seen are fairly expensive. So, in my opinion, it isn't worth it for me. BTW: The PlayList link below will take you to the entire build series for the ZX10R. The first video in the series has detailed instructions on all the mods I did, in the order I did them, a link to the related video with an embedded time stamp for all the activities, part #/description/etc. You can download the instructions and/or the parts list from the NINJAof1 Google drive in Excel or PDF. All the information to get to these files are in the description of that first video in the PlayList. Hope that helps and thank you for the comment. kzread.info/dash/bejne/pJqtpZOydJrMoLQ.html&pp=gAQBiAQB
