Something I may have missed in my KZread research, or maybe is just too obvious for most, is that after filming a 4K video with a Mini 4, I discovered that several platforms cannot display 4K, including my wife's Android tablet, my sister-in-law's older Android phone, and my own Windows 10 laptop without first downloading a video app like VLC that has the proper CODECs. Since I can live without the higher resolution, my solution to sharing videos with family and friends will be to reset the Mini 4 to film in 1080. Who knew?!

Can you please compare the X4 with Insta 360 one RS twin edition on day and low light (I am more interested in low light), with the 360 lens? Also by using the 4k lens on low light?

I've had to take off and land on very narrow boats here in the Philippines. Takeoff is no problem. But landing I've damaged 3 props. I tried my first hand landing today, on dry land. What i did, was turned off obstacle avoidance, flew to a good height for me to grab it. Then grabbed it, and rotated it 180 degrees, so it was upside down. This took a certain amount of force, but it didn't try to fly away from me. It shut the motors off. On my next battery, it asked me to check the props for damage. But i knew they weren't. So, is there anything wrong with doing this way? I fly with a tablet and tablet holder, so operating the app with one hand is difficult.

Have you tried the pause/resume recording feature? Can that be only done on the screen or can it be done using the physical record button?

Money isn't an issue. But I don't want to waste money if that makes sense. Would the mini 3 be good enough for simple stuff vs the mini 4? Or go with the mini 4 and don't look back? 😅

The other day, i decided to fly my mini 2 in my house to show off to my 3 yr old. It is currently wrapped in an urban camo skin. Which resulted in me crashing at a decent speed into the pantry. Upon initial crash inspection, all seemed well... Besides, the front / top of the body had popped up no biggie, see what's in the way, press it back together, and power ON. GIBAL ERROR The poor camera was literally fully titlting left to right while the drone was flat in the kitchen table. My wife was not home & it was a good thing too because i realized the full left sode of the gimbal frame was STICKING OUT OF THE FRONT OF THE MINI 2'S FACE. I referenced a full disassembly video while talking to the wife who was on her way home. I realized right away that Skin was gunna make this a CHORE. After carefully removing a bunch of screws, rubber bumpers, plastics, the warranty void if removed the sticker, telling my wife what i did & a bit of luck, i was able to adjust the gimbal into proper position & operation. I've had the mini 2 since its release. crashed it a few GOOD times, and yet, even at -25 in AK, this thing is a BEAST. i honestly just found out about the mini 4, which seems like a huge upgrade but i dont use my mini 2 enough to want a better version of it. And anytime i fly it its so much fun. Ps when i first got it i clipped a tree at -20 which clipped a blade been running with it since jahaha
Except you can hardly fly it anywhere. So many flight restrictions that you can’t even takeoff. I’ve tried at 2 golf courses - completely open areas and away from airports.

Has anyone notice the outer shell of the Mini 4 Pro is much more thinner/softer and makes this creaking sound when squeezed compared to the Mini 2’s where it’s clearly harder? I am guess this is to cramp in more tech while allowing the new Mini 4 Pro to be more flexible and nimble?

I literally just looked at the DJI website and they don’t have a DJi mini 4k
Will wait and see if DJI makes a Panasonic and canon one, if it’s just sold for Sony I think I’d say not worth it for most, it’s just for a tidier set up anyway, I like to keep my main hotshoe free when possible

I don't understand how the smooth videos are achieved when the drone seems to bounce around in the air quite a bit (especially these mini drones). Is there a lot of video stabilization being done in software or what is explanation for the smooth video?
