Dirt Poor Tv

All things sxs, snowmobile, utv, dirt bike, atv, and mechanical for off road sports. This has been a passion of mine my whole life. One day I was on my computer looking at photos and videos to delete because memory was full. That was when I decided to create a channel of my old content. I also have started new videos with things I am currently involved in. I know there are people interested in these off-road activities like I am. Some of my new content will be how to videos. When in doubt throttle out!!! If you are a vender that would like a unbiased opinion of a product contact us. Thanks for watching.

    Great video Sir….thank you so much, Let me ask you this if I can… My 2018 ranger 900 XP will maybe do this once maybe twice per year it seems it won’t start exactly how you showed in your video but out and roll the machine forward or reverse maybe a couple of inches, get back in the machine, put it in park step on the brake and she will start then it’ll start, however now it seems to do it much more frequently and If I try to roll it. It doesn’t work every time I roll it forward or backwards So I’m not sure if it’s the brake sensor switch or if it’s a flat spot somewhere do you talk about this in your other videos that you can direct me to? I'm not for sure what brand it was. I do not believe it was OEM. The puller did go through a fire because my friend that we borrowed it from his garage burned down to the ground. I believe that's why the puller failed by losing its hardness. That is why we cut it off and filled it with grease, wrapped it with Teflon tape. Then used the hydraulic method would you can see worked perfect.

    On my Ram, was no way to tell which end of the plastic goes up. Nothing in the generic instructions. What I did was put the thinner part at the top, and where it curves out like a fish belly, that went towards the rear. Frankly, I doubt many people actually get the plastic on in the right spot, i still can't say for certain I did either.

  • @scottdowney4318
    @scottdowney4318 Жыл бұрын

    I just installed Husky on my 2005 Rm 3500 Dully on the front. You can not drill the plastic without removing the tire, BUT you can heat up a nail with a torch and melt a hole with the tire on the truck. Worked well.

  • @dirtpoortv4483
    @dirtpoortv4483 Жыл бұрын

    At 11 minutes in the video I am showing you how to install the clips. It is hard to see because my back is covering the camera. You basically put the clip over the mud flap and over the body molding and push it on. It has teeth on it that grabs onto the plastic. Sorry it was hard to film that angle but you should get the picture.Thanks for watching Dirt Poor Tv

    @@dirtpoortv4483 You nailed it at the end of the video calling it a terrible installation process. I am getting ready to put on the Husky flaps 57071 on my rear dually. I got them cheap at $40 from Ebay as hardware was missing. I have full plastic inner fender liners and plan to use 4 #12 long screws with big washers. they secure all along the curved fender edge. On my Ram 2005 dually, the dually fenders are a type of plastic, so no concerns about rust. Instructions say use #10 screws, but I already have plenty #12 from a different project. I also figure a slightly bigger screw can hold them on better.

    Have you ever replaced standard seat belts with aftermarket 4 point in a pre 2015 dise by side rzr? Is there an engine no start connection that has to be fixed if removing oem belts?

Sorry I'm not positive on what you would need. It is up to you if you want to use 4 or 5 point harnesses. If there is wear (missing metal) why would you want to grind away more metal. Makes bigger tolerance then before you ground it down. Doesn't make sense.

  • @dirtpoortv4483
    @dirtpoortv4483 Жыл бұрын

    Because if you don't smooth the metal, that the square pucks damage. The round rollers wont work properly and will cause premature wear on the parts. Thanks for watching Dirt Poor Tv

  • @dirtpoortv4483

    You have to take the hood off to get to the coolant reservoir. Remove the cap when cool to the touch and look inside. There is a hash mark that the antifreeze should be filled up to. I use Polaris Premix antifreeze in my Arctic Cat. Arctic Cat calls for 60/40 Premix. Please check your manual. This is just what I did and what I remember off the top of my head. If you have the two wheels bolted together in the center it is called a trihub.. If the bearing in that trihub fails then you are dead in the water so to speak. You are not able to drive the sled any farther. If you have the outer two wheels and the trihub fails you are still able to drive the machine out of the trails.

  • @guyincognito1431
    @guyincognito14319 ай бұрын

    If a trihub seizes up it will often bend the crap out of your rails, ruining your rails, hub, and track all the same time while launching you full speed into the handlebars. If we could post picture replies on here I'd show you the carnage. It REALLY bad on the highcountry and mountain rails due to many of their years being thin
