Looks like you should make some shock extensions to raise the front end up

Nice Viper but I’d suggest ditching those drop brackets as they serve 0 purpose and greatly screw up the suspension geometry. Will handle like garbage.

I fully understand that the drop brackets serve no purpose except for asthetics. With the drop brackets installed it definitely puts a lot of downward pressure on the front skis . I might get shock extensions to raise the front up some more. This is our backup ditch banger sled. Thanks for your input and watching Dirt Poor Tv

I totally agree I don’t understand why you would do that to the rear skid. He needs to put a set of 0HLins On the front. Worst year of the Viper horrible shocks and springs from the factory. Not impressed by this guy. Why would you want to jack up the back for looks only? Shaking my head

Yamaha did a recall on 2000 to Viper and updated shocks under warranty. No wonder why you got a great deal on eBay you purchased a set of take offs and you should have bought the updated shock per Yamaha or upgraded to a better shock like Elka or OHLIN. Too funny brand spanking new the guy that sold them to you was laughing

The recall for the shocks was to get softer front shocks. You had to put up cash and trade in your original shocks. I do not know if that recall is available. For what I paid for these brand new shocks there is know doubt I would do it again.
