May I ask what the point of this shifter is?

The reason for a gated shifter is, when you are climbing a hill in high or low gear and the side by side starts to flip over. You can slap the stick forward into reverse in one motion. Then give the machine gas and the front end will come down. This can save you from flipping your machine over backwards. Also with the gates from reverse to low you can move between those two gears when turning around in a quick motion. Thanks for watching Dirt Poor Tv

@@dirtpoortv4483 ok, I was thinking that might have been it, but haven't had any situation like that in my talon 1000 x4 live valve before. They make a different shift gate for the talon that's probably way cheaper than the b&m, lol. Thanks for the great videos.
