Tire balancing with ceramic beads

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This is a video showing how to install tire beads in a tire that is already mounted on a rim. There are 2 ways to install tire beads. The first is when you are mounting the tire. Install the beads in the tire before you mount it onto the rim. But in my case we had to use a tire blaster to set the tire onto the rim. This would have blown the beads out of the tire. This brings the second way to install the beads through the valve stem.

I reuse my dyna beads in my motorcycle tires. When I remove the tire, I scoop the beads out of the tire and put them in a cup. When I install the new tire on the rim, I put the dyna beads in the tire before I put the second side on. They wont fall out. I also run a car tire on my bike. Most places wont put anything but a m/c tire on a motorcycle.

Yes I have done that many times. The issue we had with these tires and wheels were the beads of the tires were crushed together from shipping. We had to use a bead seater blaster tank to set the bead. That would have blown the beads all over. Thanks for watching Dirt Poor Tv 👍

Why didn't I think of that! I got that tool! Do you use those "Filter" valve cores? Lots of motorcycles and trailers. Thanks

Yes, When using the Standard size bead the purpose of the filtered valve core is to prevent a bead from getting caught in the valve core mechanism. If a bead gets caught in the valve core mechanism, it will jam the valve core in the open position and air will leak out. Filtered Valve Cores are not required if using the Large beads (Off Road, Tractor Trailer, RV). Note: Filtered valve cores, however, do not fit a lot of the newer valve stems. They require a seat 1-1/4" down in the stem. If you cannot use them, simply rotate the tire so the valve stem is about the 6:00 position, or give the valve stem a quick shot of air prior to checking pressure. When using the Standard size bead (Standard Bag, EZ-Open, Motorcycle), the purpose of the filtered valve core is to prevent a bead from getting caught in the valve core mechanism.
