Thank you for this tip, I recently bought a 2013 M1100 and the switching from forward to reverse gear in it is a bit rattling compared to my 2009 Z1 Turbo. If it stops working, this could help save quite a substantial amount of money! 👍👍👍

I replaced the upper shaft and I installed this motor and stopped working. I got the ECU 25 code only after using the snowmobile for 2h, backup 10 times maybe. I will investigate but pretty sure it's not strong enough.

Thanks for the video! im done trying to clock the wheel inside to a spot that isnt stripped out. Im wondering if the 742-114 (Left front window motor) vs the 115 (left front) will reverse the polarity and skip that step.

It might have the polarity reversed, but if it doesn't now know how to change it. LOL

You did not have to reverse the wires for the polarity. All you simply have to do is remove the 4 bolts on the actuator again and turn that magnet housing 180 degrees. Done.

I swapped mine out. Rotated the top section 180. Do not hear any noise and get ECU 25 code after pressing reverse switch. Any thoughts what to start looking at?

Did you change out the motor with a new unit or just rotate the top of the original motor? I am confused where you said rotated top section. Thanks for watching Dirt Poor Tv

@@dirtpoortv4483 yes I swapped out the whole unit with a Saturn window regulator and clocked the magnet section 180 so the electrical connector is on the same side as the factory actuator.

What was the original issue with the actuator? My 2012 f1100 says on the display that it’s in reverse when it is not. It will not switch in to reverse either.

Unbolt the reverse actuator from the chain case. With key turned on cycle the reverse actuator by pressing the reverse button on the handlebar. Make sure the reverse actuator is operating properly while not bolted to the chain case. That will tell you if your motor in the reverse actuator is functioning properly. Also pay attention to what direction the reverse actuator is turning. Thanks for watching Dirt Poor Tv.

The one I bought from AutoZone was $72. I believe the one from cat is over $150 but do not quote me on that. I was only going off of what I read on the AC pages. Thanks for watching Dirt Poor Tv.
