Been using an original Meater for several years now. Decided to check the state of the technology when I found your post, so thanks for the update.
Your discount code is no longer valid 😢
its the vinegar .... any vinegar will do ... thats why a lot of people use salad dressing ...
Perfect salmon on the grill. I appreciate that the video was more grilling instructions and less recipe style.
I feel the pain hurt and sadness in this man's heart. As well as the "help me" in his eyes... breaks my heart.. keep your head high king. Subliminal message has been heard.
Dude, I made this like 3 years ago and searched half my morning to find this video again. Great stuff!
lol... just book mark searandsmoked.com ..... most recipes are there too!
Quit watching did he ever grill
My kiln has a burner under the stone and around the back with a turning stone cooks great pizzas
yeah, that looks like a nice setup with the turning stone
What about a water pan? Did you add that?
I never added a water pan when using it. I no longer have this grill, but I was always impressed how moist things stayed in the barrel.
I really like this. I might try to make it for my WSM smoker since right now I have no worksurfaces when I am grilling/smoking. I need a removable middle shelf it can sit on since the WSM can double as a regular kettle grill or a bullet smoker. No one has plans for WSM from my googling. Only the eggs.
For the WSM, I would probably do something similar to this, except remove the shelf in the middle, and add some granite below or line everything in the center with aluminum / steel for fire protection.
How long does it take to get to 550? I have the same grill but haven't gotten it that hot.... maybe I just need to wait longer...
For the weber gas grills, I usually pre heat for about 30 minutes to make sure its nice and hot. If it does not get that high, still give it a try after you know its reached close to max temperature.
How are you cooking this in an apartment or condo? Looks like the woodlands housing
2:18 use apple cider vinegar... Don't use beer.
Way over what you hve.. is that q big green egg medium? ... Sorry i don't believe this.
Love the Typhur. Had an issue with one probe which revealed itself on first cook - an email to the company (well two actually as some clarification was needed) and a new probe was on the way to me. Great customer service. Highly recommended.
Where is the rub recipe??
its in the video description... or here searedandsmoked.com/5-steps-for-juicy-grilled-chicken-breasts/
Why do you never say the dimensions
sorry I left that out... dimensions can be found here searedandsmoked.com/product/diy-grill-cart/
Way too much talking - than demonstrating😮
This recipe is amazing. I use on chicken breast as well. Always a people pleaser.
thanks for the kind words... glad you like it!
I bought a Typhur meat probe set. This was my first experience with wireless probes. I just did not like the entanglements of the wires and I wanted wifi connectivity. I got a unit that felt very premium with the base station. I charged it up and was never alerted as to when the charge was done. My charge light just kept blinking overnight. My screen appearance looked nothing like the screens for the Typhur I had seen on the KZread channels. I emailed a video as to what the unit was doing to Typhur and they said the software had a bug and they did not know when or if they could push a firmware update to me. I returned it to Amazon and got another Typhur. The second unit had a different set of bugs and just gave up on it and sent it back to Amazon. I think The Typhur unit is a quality piece overall, its just that the software is not fully baked. I wanted the wifi capability so I went back with the wires and got the Inkbird IBBQ-4T which has wifi capability. I really wanted the wireless unit but thought about it and the heat on the probe batteries can not be good for longevity. I honestly wonder what the lifespan is on all these wireless probes. I may go back to a wireless unit and I think Typhur will be a great unit to have once the software bugs are ironed out.
sorry to hear about that experience! hopefully they get their software / hardware straightened out.
Nice review. All probes on this league should have 1000F level as we fork out tons of money.
yup...I think they will all get there soon. seems like a lot of them come from the same factories.... just a matter of time
Very nicely done. All of those things should come standard with the barrel! For those who don't understand, this is just a barrel; barrels are everywhere and they can be acquired for free!!! I own a farm and I could walk around the yard and see no less than 25 steel 55-gallon and 30-gallon barrels! As of today (6-16-2024), the 18.5" barrel is priced at: $399.99! $399.99 for a barrel! Again, the fact that these things were not included with the purchase and already installed is ridiculous! It's laughable! To make it even worse, the 22.5" is currently (6-16-2024) priced at: $499.99 and it does not come with any of these features either! A Weber 18" grill grate is currently (6-16-2024) priced at: $29.99 (Ace Hardware) and it's HINGED which would allow a person to drop more charcoal into the bottom without removing the entire grill rack to make such a simple move!!! Again, these things are laughable! These "barrels" are priced at least 60% too high!
i definitely agree with some of that... a few bells and whistles just make it more fun and usable too
Was just looking for a gas grill chicken wing vid and found this. I set my grill up just like yours and getting ready to smoke my wings. Loved the way you sat your grill up. I liked and scribed.
right on... thanks for watching!
Thx I will try to do this
I got this! easy after making a batch of rub
This video is really well made- you're the only reviewer/Kettle Pizza chef that I've seen who actually talks about the timing for cooking- i.e. turning the pizza every minute to 90 secs, bubbling indicating that it's close to done, rough estimate of 3-4 mins/pizza at 650-700F. You have great recommendations for dough, building the heat source is well discussed, very comprehensive. The best out of about five videos that I've watched, thank you!
thanks man.... I appreciate the gratitude and feedback!
Do you have a link for that grill grate holder mounted on the front of the table?
send me the time stamp from the video and I'll take a look. I don't remember a grill grate holder off hand.
1:15. Mounted to the wood under the granite.
Super Kool both the steaks and your presentation.........funny guy!
thanks man... I appreciate it!
Not me 😅
Great information and a well produced video. Thank you!
thanks for watching!
The tongs your using Do they have a floating hinge? If so where did you get them. Thx much.
they do. I cannot remember the brand... they are pretty generic... but I got them at this store www.hawgeyesbbq.com/about_us/ looks like they do not have them online, but they might have them at the store? I purchased them in person. They are on the short side, but I love them.
Love your grill cabinet videos!! Appreciate you taking the time to make these videos and sharing your knowledge and experience. Will be trying to build my own soon!!!
go for it! once you build one.... you can't stop!
very boring bro
Your yard is amazing. Chicken is nice too! :)
Did anyone ever say you sound like Spike from Cowboy Bebop?
no idea who that is... but he must have a great voice?
C'est pour quoi le courant 🤔🤔
Excellent looking pizzas. Great feedback about the heat deflector, and demo showing how it lights. Thank you.
glad it was helpful, thanks for watching
Can multiple Meater 2+ probe channels be read by the app? I notice they are only sold as singles, but not sure if that means there's a single channel limit or not. 🤔
That I do not know... have not experimented with multiple units... but I could see how that may be an issue
Made this tonight with your recipe, my son said, "This is the best chicken sandwich I've ever had!" Hubby and I also approved, thanks for sharing.
wow.... high praise! now, only if my 6 yr old would eat the food I make.. lol. glad it everyone liked it!
You saved another family from dry chicken! We all loved it, and I am making it again tonight. Peace
Does the bottom burner work ok? I had the Witt Rotante and the bottom burner broke. This is basically the exact same pizza oven.
so... this one just has the single burner with out rotating stone, so I cannot say one way or the other
More consistent temp when using Kingsford briquettes, per manufacturer’s instructions.
It is nice to see some backyard BBQ without someone standing in front of 6 different grills. I get it is 100% experience that wins but still nice to see once in a while.
thanks... I do still own too many grills.... and probably have a few videos showing off too many.... but I try to put out some good recipes for the everyday griller for sure... I actually just made this last night for mothers day
Nice video! Steaks look great. What was the final IT that you took them to? What was the total cook time? Thanks!
I usually shoot for 130F. sorry I forgot that part!
Abs. Just come to the point
Straightforward and accurate. 👏
for god sake please clean you barbecue for old burned food. chicken looks good and tasty.
Excellent👌💯
Exact same issues on the EX4. It works well when it works but very frustrating overall.
Thanks for the review. Where did you buy your shield for the inside of your oven?
So you don’t cook to tender! 200° to 209° is expectable for nice wiggly juicy brisket. They’re all different
