hi drew... the response to this little plan set was pretty underwhelming, so I did not draw up a plan for the XL egg. But... you could definitely download these plans and adapt them to the XL. you can download the large plans here... searedandsmoked.com/free-green-egg-table-plans/

I like the amount t of table space but that design scares me. I’ve seen too many ceramic cookers destroyed by being flipped over accidentally. That design is pretty top heavy and I’m afraid that with the legs so close to the egg that if someone were to leaned or worse sat on the end of the table over she will go. Imagine that happening when she’s full of lit lump and meat. But to each his own.

interesting point. Its pretty heavy with the egg in there, but if someone did sit on the end, I am sure that would tip it. It would probably take a big guy to tip by leaning on it, but I will do a little testing over the weekend. Thanks for the feedback

I guess legs on both ends of table would correct the tipping problem, at least tipping from the ends. ???

So, did a little testing and I can lean on it pretty heavily with out any give or any issues. If started to take the weight off my feet, and then it will start to move. So, feels pretty solid under most circumstances unless you have a real acrobat around the grill.

I'm likely just going to add some legs or supports to the ends under the table extensions...problem solved. :-)

Too wide for the legs. My luck someone would put a 40 lb cooler of ice on one side and it tips over.
