    I have also pretty much stopped "hunting" out plants. I LOVE my Summer Glory and grow her on a pole. And my ric rac really needs a repot...

    I've been a plant mom for 58 years, and I love it just as much now as I did when I got my first ivy plant. I can't imagine my life without plants in it. The word common should maybe be replaced with staple. So many of the plants have been in existence for decades. how awesome is that and not common. ❤❤❤❤ love your channel and your collection. Happy growing to everyone.

    I have recently purchased some Aglaonemas and have to say I'm obsessed! The colours are gorgeous and that makes me so happy. They will be living in my bedroom and I'm sure will cope with the lower lighting in that room. I've enjoyed watching your June favouites, thanks for sharing them with us.

    Um, I don’t trust anyone with a super clean/sterile home, you’re good 👍🏻 😂 I just found a pocket of fuzz aka mealie “residue” or eggs or whatever, I treated that whole area of plants too… sigh We can’t get that systemic in Canada for some reason, not sure why My Cuprea has petioles less than 12 inches long, between 6-8 I’d say, she gets tons of light, I hope my Jaklyn has shorter petioles too with enough light they can get crazy long

    hahaha I'm glad to hear that you don't mind 😂 agh I hope that they don't spread around too much! they're such a hassle when they get out of hand. oo yeah I've heard alocasia jacklyns also get super long sometimes 😬 I feel like it's not too bad if you can get them in the right arrangement alongside other plants, but it can be so awkward to deal with lol

    Hiya Joy! I’m new to your channel and enjoying your videos very much! 😍 I just wanted to share that I’ve learned that mealies and ‘root mealies’ are the same thing! I was told this by a succulent and cacti collecting friend and we know how prone they are to mealies! She’s said that if you have an infestation, chances are they’re in the soil around the roots! So it may be those problem plants actually have them in the soil too, and not just the leaves! Good luck! I’ve had really good luck once I learned this information with getting rid of mealie bugs! X

    If the plant need repotting I usually take them out of the soil, whash them and keep them in water and away from other pants for 2 weeks up to a month so meslybugs won't have soil to grow.

    That new monstera pots gonna be trouble! You may have to break it next repot 😂 Looks like the camera lens needs a wipe down, it’s a bit foggy, could be the sunlight from behind you too causing that foggy look Omgosh this was such, I dunno how to express how I feel about your testimony. Very emotional, inspiring, I needed to hear you today Joy, thank you for sharing, God bless you and the fam ❤ Ooo that tall Philo I’d chop and prop that guy for sure, or what about keiki paste on growth points along that leggy stem? Or have they all been expended ? I’m shocked you only have 3k subs, so underrated

    yeah haha, I probably will 😭 that's what I get for not planning ahead lol. yes, I think you're right! I realized that while editing. I think it was mainly the glare, but I also went through and cleaned all my lenses today! 💪 I appreciate that 💕 you're too kind!! I'll have to look into using keiki paste! I've heard a lot about it, but I've never taken the plunge and tried it myself.

  • @natjoy22
    @natjoy2216 күн бұрын

    THAT GIGAS LEAF!!!! 🤯 I also have the plants I'm sending you (unless you are coming to Chicago in July...I'm trying to manifest this lol). Yay that El Choco is doing well! My original one became a tiny chonk and is living in a jar. I noticed the other day it has 2 leaves! And I got a second one that's a bit more mature (palm sized leaves), has 4 leaves with a new one coming, is living in moss in 100% humidity and is doing GREAT. But I have no clue how/when to transition it out of the jar and into either soil or pon. That polyneura is the polyneura of my dreams. Mine is...struggling. Oh! And I have a few of my 47" tall lazy moss poles I'm going to send you. You could easily move the Gigas to one of them so you don't have to chop it yet!

  • @sproutswithjoy
    @sproutswithjoy8 күн бұрын

    I don't think I'l be able to come to Chicago in July 😢 our schedule is PACKED and we've got two weddings back to back!! that's so good to hear that your el choco survived! but yeah... the trick of transitioning it is another problem haha. ahhh that would be amazing!

    I listened to Fairy Tale and enjoyed it. It very much is 3 separate stories packed into one book. And there's chatter that it's going to be a movie or mini series. A book a SUPER recommend is The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. The voice actress is TOP NOTCH with her interpretation. I finished it months ago and cannot get it out of my head. Dang Joy! I didn't expect to cry during today's video. Thank you for being so open! Clay giving you a hug. 😭
