what brand of rubber gasket do you use. also 4"dwv pipes does rubber work better than wax?
So the pex pipe you ran the small copper tube down to some floor drain some were. Did you brake the floor up to run that pex to above the floor drain ptrap? How did you conect that pex pipe to the 2" floor drain pipe.. i hope you didnt just drill a 1/2" hole into the 2" abs floor drain pipe above the pee trap. Here in Nw Ont Canada them open vents are totaly ilegel.. they make a lot of nose an known to fail an not vent pluged drain line an water backs up an out it. Fail an lets the gas in. Ilegel ..
Thought bro was rapping at first
Hey Kenny. Does your math course have an answer key?
Hey Jason, yes all questions come with an answer key as well.
@@Kennymolotov cool. I was looking to buy your course and just wanted to double check. Thanks
Yes I also, sit down and show you in video how to tackle questions as well (I answer them in full). I go through many examples in each section of me breaking down the mindset. Lots of useful things for you.
How can i be a apprentice when i stayed in African is it possible
If civilization collapses the blue collar workers will thrive while the white collar workers will seriously struggle
This is an amazing video good job
Gonna start applying for apprenticeships
I started my first year in residential & commercial service. Switch to commercial construction, and like it a lot better. Yall resi service guys can keep those crawlspaces and dealing with sewage. I'll stick with rough-in and top-out new buildings and renovations.
Bout time Kenny!! Keep it up bro love watching ur videos brother keep up the good work 🔧🧰🦾 💧
Thanks brother!
Nice work as always Kenny, Happy Father's day, not sure if you celebrate it in Canada
Happy Fathers Day Armando!
I’m 23 years trying to get into plumbing
As a former broker/realtor... i envy blue collar work... i hate phone calls, looking at computer screens and sitting my ass down all 9-5
5:32 those are the ones that have tried to do your job and know how hard it is, the rich people dont tip...honestly how do you think they stay rich also consider they may not be rich everything they have could be a front all in debt they are living paycheck to paycheck.
Where have you been Kenny? You normally post videos every week and it's been some time since you last posted one.
Great video!
I watched quite a few of these videos, but this is the one that made me Subscribe. I could totally relate to the absurdity. lol

I’m from Alberta and looking to start an apprenticeship in plumbing
Hey Kenny, I am Charbel, 24 years old from Lebanon, majored in computer science for some reason!!!! and I really enjoyed watching your videos! However, I really and desperately have some questions before going to Canada in January 2025. I am an international student who applied for a plumbing mechanical techniques program at Algonquin College Ottawa. I always had a thing for skilled trades especially plumbing so that is why I decided to take this program in Canada and perhaps find an apprentice after graduation. Will it be hard for me as an international student to find and apprenticeship while studying and stay as a legal worker(co op work visa) after my study program is over to continue my apprenticeship? Can I apply for a red seal under my work visa? Is it worth it money wise(does it make a living) after completing the apprenticeship and opening my own business? My whole plan and goal is to study plumbing in Canada. Work during my studies in plumbing, apply for an apprenticeship right before I graduate(or before if I had an opportunity), renew my work permit, complete my apprenticeship program(3-5 years), apply for red seal, have my own plumbing business. Is this hard for me as an international student?

Guaranteed they were liberals. They expect everything for free. i e.. from the government.
New to your channel. Great advice 👏👏👏
My whole early plumbing career i got the short stick. Bad bosses no proper apprenticeship. Turned to drain cleaning. Had to learn the trade on my own.
everything you said you liked about plumbing is what I liked about being a racing bicycle mechanic. .. except it actually pays! i think im sold
Hii I’m gonna start my pre apprenticeship plumbing diploma at Conestoga college in this september and looking forward to start the apprenticeship to become a plumber.Any advice
I am not sure that is up to the pluming inspector to catch, there responsibility is to make sure the equipment is piped to code. In the commercial world they have a commissioning agent verify installation and operation (pre-functional and functional) and hopefully they would catch that detail. I would compare the engineers drawings to see if they showed a pump installation detail and compare that to what the plumber installed.
Didn’t know about a commissioning agent! Thanks for sharing!
Sounds like one of those builder grade budget pits, big cut out on the lid and they are very tight. Liberty pits are alot spacier. But I guess throwing in a strap wont hurt(note tomyself), specially when there's loads of water in the ground, very often these pits never see water.
So there was no lid for some reason, the lid was created afterwards…not sure what happened to the original one. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Good observation/diagnosis...I've seen this happen on multiple occasions. When the system/pump is initially installed, its properly set in place but if not correctly secured to prevent movement...this will occur initiating a call back or service request not to mention property damage. Good information for all plumbers to be aware of when installing the pump {usually with the free moving float)
Thanks for sharing your insight!
You're absolutely on the right side bro. This happens all the time with certain people that only see it as a favour. But if the table was turned they would not appreciate it..
Kenny I was curious does pipe fitter apprentices take the same program as us plumbing apprentices?
no response love it
I’ve been there man. I’m a plumber in a small town, and I’ve had customers try to ruin my reputation over 400 dollars on a bill. I don’t question my own integrity, but I could not believe how they were acting. I actually just retired from full time plumbing, switch careers to farming. Could no longer deal with unreasonable customers, was too mentally and emotionally draining that it just wasn’t worth it anymore.
Gona start my apprenticeship program in few weeks. Im excited and nervous at the same time😂
I’m going to give you a tip my friend, do motivational videos it will work good for you
if you love what you are doing you will never work another day
Could you leave the first valve in place and place a secondary valve to protect the basement unit. The primary valve would protect the entire home and the secondary valve protects the basement unit from the upper units.
Is Ontario Part 7 (plumbing code) itself obsolete officially, or is the entire Ontario Building Code (all parts) obsolete now? I have the entire 2012 OBC printed off myself (the PDF was free) but I noticed that the PDF for the National Plumbing Code doesn't include all the same charts that the printed one provided with the exam had (I.e. circular/non-circular rain water leader sizing, water service/distribution sizing based on different kPa pressure ranges, etc. It isn't cheap to purchase a printed national plumbing code from Orderline but I will probably have to get one now.
Other than red seal being interprovincial, some placement agencies for plumbing trade actually request that you have a red seal certification or they won't even consider trying to place you anywhere. For those businesses, it's viewed as a prestige-thing rather than Alberta technically recognizing an Ontario journeyman license pre-red seal (before 2010?) I'm been licensed since 2007 but didn't have red seal until I requested to write it a couple of weeks ago and passed it. Basically the CofQ is both the journeyman and red seal all in one now.
What are requirement for vocational training plumbing and pipe fitting vocation
I love your videos mann!
Can I be your apprentice? I live in LA have 3 years experience as an installer and 1 year as a technician making commission. I want to learn all plumbing aspects through you the plumbers here just care about bonuses and not actual plumbing 🥺
I've done commercial, lowrise housing, high rise residential (renos/condos), and residential service work. There is this attitude that I've noticed at a couple of different commercial companies that "new housing residential plumbers aren't real plumbers" which I dont agree with. There is more skill involved walking into a new framed house and deciding where to run all the 3" ABS, 2" and 1-1/2" inside the joists in walls (especially on the main floor) and you don't always get a bulkhead space or "box" to run pipes in. That being said, I believe it's easier to go from housing to commercial than from commercial to housing. Housing, you have to be quick (which I hate and is why I'm looking for commercial now) and in commercial, it was a lot more laid back and it was a less stressful culture. In housing, the plumbers try to be the fastest and that is valued as much as knowing how to rough-in an entire house by yourself. Commercial is the best overall in my opinion. Floor drains are primed legally and not with 1/4" plastic tubing like in housing upstairs laundry rooms where the inspectors let code for that sort of thing go to the wayside. Being able to solder 3" DWV copper, install 3" and bigger cast iron pipe, drill 3/8" or 1/2" holes into concrete to bang in shots for threaded rod and install Clevis or swivel hangers, victaulic couplings and threading pipes with different dies just feels more like professional plumbing than doing a house. My advice to any apprentice is to start wherever you get a job and make sure you learn the code and get through school. If you never touch housing construction, it isn't necessarily a big loss but don't expect as a licensed plumber to make the switch to it from commercial and survive. The speed and experience that they demand simply won't be there.
this is why I'm watching got dishwasher with flood defender supply and its getting water but not enough
Think most of us plumbers are like that I cant stand it either or a seal cock not tight against house burns me up
