I really hope you and your dad can find some sort of solution to reconcile. Family is very important. And I hope things work out for you for taking such a bold step. Shoutout to your wife for standing by you through the tough times. Better days ahead.

Hope it all works out in the end and patching up things with your family is #1. I applied for the (Hamilton) local 67 plumbers union apprenticeship. Fingers crossed on a new learning experience in the trades, I actually retired early but now I'm ready to turn a new leaf and pick up on a trade at 56. If it materializes great if not at least I attempted the first step in the application process / aptitude test.
