I’m getting this procedure for both of my big toes tomorrow! I’ve had it done before but I’m still very nervous because I have to do both. If anyone has breathing tips for when they do this, please comment them! I have very bad anxiety and last time I did this procedure I started hyperventilating and needed my inhaler. I know I’m a little dramatic about stuff like that but that shot hurts! Wish me luck! 😬😭

I’ve been getting excruciating jolts of pain underneath the center of the knee cap. Been happening more often each day. Can be sitting or laying down and it happens…or just standing/walking. Pain is brutal. Anyone have this issue? If so, is this same as what the doctor in video described? Appreciate any input. Thanks.

I suffered from a ingrown toenail for 1.5 years because I had watched a video like this year's ago and I have been a needlefobic my entire life so I kept suffering but would not go for it . But then my family forcefully took me there and my father slapped me and they said keep watching your favorite series on the phone while they operated and I swear I didn't feel anything. Just a ant bite like a feeling in the beginning and then nothing. So anyone suffering from it I suggest just overcome your fear and go and you will get the greatest feeling at the end .

Ok i watched these videos and i was terrified to get it done, but i had to get it done before it got worse. And I’m gonna say i cried a-lot. but mostly because of the comments on these videos.i thought it was gonna be so so so bad. but i had someone there with me, and the pain obviously isn’t good, but its just like a strong stinging, and he gave me two shots i think but it was over within 5 to 10 seconds. the second shot stung a-lot more but it wasn’t as bad as these comments said. i really think if you have an ingrown and infected area to just get it done it will be worth it, after they do the removal you’ll feel the pressure, its like if your foot falls asleep. theres no pain.during your recovery it might sting where the shots were, and where they removed the nail but not too bad. And they give you a medicine for the infection by pill and they gave me an ibuprofen for any pain, so if your supposed to get this done don’t listen to some of the comments. I’m not gonna sugar coat or lie to you, it does sting maybe a 6/10 pain first shot, and a 8or 9/10 second shot. but its pretty quick and you don’t have to look, so if your scared it really isn’t that bad (coming from someone who is a teen and was terrified to do this the whole time)

Hi Doctor I had my sesamoid bone broken back in 2011 ,The one that lies between the big toe and the second toe. i started feeling pain in that area but i never knew till a year passed , the therapist requested an MRI scan and stated that i had fibrosis around the sesamoid bone then he told me to use that walking boot... but when nothing changed he told me to use a Silicone pad in my shoe. i had the pain gone but ever since the toe started to feel like a lack of support and i feel spasm of the muscle i the arch of the foot . I am really really confused specially that I have visited another doctor and he stated that my sesamoid bone not fractured

I now face a possible 3rd time but the pain of the shot is so FUCKING HORRIBLE it makes me just want to take painkillers forever and not go through with it again. To anyone thinking of getting your ingrown toenail done be ready the pain it the worst thing you will ever feel in your life! You get 3 shots, not just 1, FUCKING 3, and the 2nd one hurts so much worse then the first one ever time! If I wasn’t feeling such incredible pain I would’ve ever got my toenails taken care of! 😭😣

To anyone interested if they ask for the injections or cutting out the corner go for the injections. With the corners you aren’t fully numbed and it hurts a lot. With the injections there’s a stinging but it’s not toooo bad, I’d say a bit more painful than a covid shot but it’s manageable. After it’s numbed you might still feel a tiny bit of pain when he truly digs deep but it’s alright, just a lot of pressure. Throbbing pain when numbing wears off not too bad.

The most important issue that you’re not talking about is the weather at the toes is the squeezing together of the toes at the very end of the shoe. That was one of the main contributors to metatarsalgia. Oh shoes unless your foot is exactly the same shape is that shoe show is your toes together if you have a wide foot and you’re SOL
