Yes, you’re right! It’s been actually life changing working with other designers. We’re a small group of 3, but I feel like I’m learning so much and have that support I lacked in my previous role.

@@JaneYang Aww yay that's amazing, I'm so happy for you! That support is everything, truly. I'm currently a solo designer (there was one other designer last year but they left) and recently I've been REALLY missing having a design partner to work through the day to day challenges with. This will definitely be a deal breaker going into my next role, I miss working with other designers so much lol. So glad you're doing well in this new role and thank you for sharing - it kinda reaffirms to me that I should listen to how I'm feeling and it's okay to seek out other opportunities that give me the support I'm looking for in a team!

Am I the only one who's paranoid about spending money being laid off? It's been since August that I was laid off and like I had about 8k saved up but I've been so scared to spend any of it besides strictly groceries and rent. It lowkey makes it feel like I can't enjoy the time off because everything costs money in the city.

Jobs in product are notorious for being tricky to get but I'm determined lol. Took note of those interview questions, thank you very much for them. Hey Jane! I know I'm super late but I'm doing some research about GA's UX design course and based on what I've heard, the feedback is positive. Although, a lot of people also said employers sometimes don't take GA grads serious or they kinda have a stereotype for GA grads. Some people also said they didn't put GA on their resume. What was your experience with that?

Congratulations Jane! I'm not in UX design but, if you don't mind me asking, how many applications do you hand in weekly/daily? I'm trying to rev up my job search and it's truly exhausting lol.

Thank you!! The number of applications I send per day varies. I usually try to send out 3-4/weekday. I know that a lot of people apply to way more, but that's usually what's realistic for me. The past few months I've also been focusing on quality over quantity, and I've been seeing better results. I wish you the best of luck!!!
