Is there an effect processor or pedal that can do this externaly?

I have Studio One Pro 6, but have not used it yet. I still have a "project" I'm working on in Version 5, mixing and mastering 5 songs. It was "suggested" by Presonus, not to use V-6 if you still have a "project" going in V-5. They never defined a "Project", so for now, I won't use it, but did buy it and download it during their Christmas Sale. I will bookmark is like MrEnagee said and watch it after I finish up in Version 5. Actually I'm about to start working on another 5-song EP, so I guess I will start that one in V-6.

We went for the MM 500 after careful testing. LCD-X sounded very dipped in the mids, like a smiley-curve almost. MM 500 sounds natural and revealing in the mids,at least to my ears. Mixing vocals is a lot easier for us now (worked on genelecs, ns10’s and cheaper headphones previously) The transient response and soundstage was pretty equal, lcd-x had slighrly more width.

And most of the time the knobs on these modules are even big enough for a touch screen. Same with McDSP.

1176 sounds so brighter, much clearer & analogish than LA-6176 which sound muffled. May be worth the 1176 difference, if we can buy LA-6176 for $24 with a coupon. I did a comparison on Male vocals between LA-6176 with preAmp & 1176, LA-6176 sounds excellent. It looks like 1176 in LA-6176 donot have saturation & 610 PreAmp saturation should be switched on to get saturation. But the Combo sounds excellent.

Having tested both these out, for some reason 11 is getting me a better mix and I think it has something to do with "Clarity" and "Upwards compression" but just as you said, that "Impact" sucks and as for "Imager" the A.I for it is way blown out for Stereo, you MUST go into manual mode and fix it to to fit more Mono. Lastly I've been struggling to decide if Standard Clip or "Soft Clip" is better and personally I will start using Soft Clip but only on L (low) mode.

Not sure if i'm understanding your question correctly but if you are talking about when Pro Q3 was in the blue analyzer view where he pulled down the three frequency dots within the analyzer you get that view by just placing and holding your mouse above the Pro Q3 center line. It will automatically change to the analyzer view.

Great video, as always, I never miss one, I like watching how other people approach things, even simple scenarios and different approaches! Matty is nice, no attitude, fluff and always a great presenter. Just an extra helpful quick tip opt+dragging creates dynamic bands automatically, for anyone needing that.

Hey thanks for a good review! Do you know its possible to only duck low frequencies from a sidechain source, with the dual dynamics? Or some other way?

Trackspacer is the OG though. And there's also Fuser which I think has some mid-side. And Neutron Unmask. I myself own Soothe and I didn't even know it had this ability. I do think it is a little more CPU intensive than other plug-ins. Every time I'm near maxing out my CPU and I put Soothe2 on there, I get crackles. Not so with other plugins. So the winner of this should probably be the one that uses the least CPU... On the other hand, mid-side capabilities are nice. But you can Jerry rig that kind of thing with other plug-ins.

This plugin allows us to track/record a 610 pre AND a 1176 or LA2-type compressor via one Unison mic pre slot, which I believe is not possible using separate plugins. Am I correct in that? And if not, what is the procedure for tracking/recording both mic pre plugin and compressor plugin in the UAD world?
@geebee4414 күн бұрын
My question in regard to this is... "how often does UAD actually listen to the criticism and change/correct/expand it?" With you showing that clearly the end result plugin Verve comes from a multitude of tweakable plugins, do they even have a need to give us things like an output and mix knob in Verve?
