Thanks for the only honest review I’ve seen on this! Everyone else is a friend of the developer and it shows!

At the settings you had them both at, they have significant tonal differences, but the clipping itself sounds similar. Very interesting times we are in. lol I enjoyed the video.

I think it's better than FL Studio - Fruity Soft clipper because it doesn't have that annoying high frequency distortion. Fire plugin ! 🔥

I have Gold Clip and didn't think I'd want Orange, but I got it yesterday. Both Schwabe clippers are quality plug-ins. The price is high, so it's not for everyone. I've had Gold for a few months, and I'd not give it up. For certain things, I'll probably say the same about Orange. The closest I've come to Fruity Loops was the cereal with Toucan Sam.

The FL clipper definitely retains more low end punch on the kick as compared to the orange clip which adds a lot of upper harmonics that thin it out a little. The orange clip is too harsh compared to FL. May have been a case of the actual settings needing some tweaking but generally I gravitate more towards the FL clipper, not that I'm bias as a fellow FL user. I do, however, wish the FL clipper has just as much, if not more, control when put against the orange clip.

​@@GingerDrums I own Gold Clip, so I'm not downplaying the importance of clippers nor Schwab Digital What i am saying is, using what the owner is saying about a product, is usually not the best way to judge something I'm not saying anything negative, just saying be skeptical And with a simple trick (My ears, Because My buddy owns it and i own FL) I notice that there is a clear difference from Soft clip and Orange Clip That's not me saying its bad, or "worse" But when your marketing is *IDENTICAL* and it isn't, well then you should be able to fill in the rest I've used Fl Clip, Knock clip, StandardClip Gold Clip and saturate by new fangled and they all give me a specific sound and i think are all great. If ANY of those were advertised as 1:1 with FL clipper than i would give it a negative review for false ad (imo) This plugin is VERY close to FL clipper, But its not identical And that's just simply my point lol The only positive it has over soft clip is oversampling, which is the ONLY reason you can ever justify this. At that point you can purchase the cheapest version of FL and use Soft clip and pre computed FX which in my book gives you 100 times more use than this. But if you have about 100 dollars laying around and wanna try and recreate that specific sound, then yea this plugin will work great

in my headphones orange had more low end.

For some reason I actually felt that the FL Clipper was much cleaner than the Orange Clipper.

Because it is I also felt the same well rounded and smooth there maybe copies but none will beat the original

Bought it from Ryan the day it was released as well as Gold Clip. I don't complain about prices and shit. I get what i want. It's cool and fruity loops is still a kids toy.

Gold is more mastering grade while Orange seems more like an effect than just a clipper.

Orange Clip is Mathematically Identical so its pretty much basically the same.

Every clipper does the same thing
