I just saw someone using this on bass too in a video.... And it was very impressive how well it opened up the track for the mids to come through

Glad I got this one.

This plugin nails it. No brand BS what might hurt some egos out there. It is THE best for kick and bass. Paul Third and Emre Celik are no BSers.

You can do all this with stock plugins - you'd only need a multiband envelope shaper like Shaperbox volume shaper. enhance section - Depth - pultec eq low end boost heat - parallel aturated high end punch - transient designer clip - clipper. click - high end of the transient - crushed and mixed back in (stock distortion plugin) thump - a sub synth (bx subsynth) nifty to have them all under a single plugin and its quite cheap. Good for kids who makes beats and stuff.

Nope you cannot. Not even close. Watch my own video for the details on my channel. You can of course mix your kicks without KickShaper. But it won't be as fast as KickShaper.

I did. You claim (3:20) in error that you cannot do what debloom does with volume shaper as it has to follow a shape. Cableguys volume shaper can react to incoming audio and has been for a while. Same with Devious machines Duck. trigger mode has incoming audip. I checked the demo, easy to set up all what this does via macro controls in S1. Good that its very affordable and useful for people who just want to quickly dial in kicks. But regardless, this is easily done with usual plugins @@Mixyap

​@@miksteduzeltiriz Certainly. But let me assure you that there's no plugin or substitute out there that can match the capabilities and finesse of KickShaper. I make it a point to develop and code plugins that bring something new to the table with innovations that the industry hasn't yet seen. You cannot simply replace KickShaper with 10-12 plugins. But yeah, you can mix your kicks without it, it won't just give you the same sonic result. Labeling it as 'good for kids who make beats and stuff' is quite the backhanded compliment and widely inaccurate. This statement subtly undermines the expertise of professionals like Matty or those Grammy-winning engineers who have lauded KickShaper.

It’s a great plugin but would have liked a Hz graph at the bottom of the display.

was the before after level matched matty? that's the first rule of hearing what the processing is doing........

Hmm. Dunno. It's ok. I think Knock by Decap is still king alongside a EQ to do what DeBoom is doing. The A/B at the end wasn't amazing. Still, I think this is more designed for EDM. Try an EDM kick and I think it would work.

thanks for this video, maybe more suitable for kick samples than "real" kickdrums

It would be better if we could hear it in the context of a mix, as opposed to just in solo. Sure, it's changing the sound of the kick, but are those changes helping the mix?

@@mixedbymatty It's cool! Sometimes has some phase issues but allows you to replace the transient with samples as well as some awesome processing.

Like waves Torque with an injection of testostorone

Didn't pay me a thing....If I could post a pic I would show you a recipt that I bought it. Let me be clear I've done 2 videos for $ and I didn't like the way that felt. I make all my money mixing and mastering. I do youtube for fun and for a way to give back to the audio commuinty.

Yeah.. In the past WA productions olugins have caused more harm than good. So it's a flat no from me. Now if they have turned over a new leaf, I might be interested. But prolly not. I'll stick to plugins I know dionysius fuck up my mix, Sonnox, McDsp, etc.
