    Hello. Let me add something negative. I own a Fiio M17 and a Fiio M15. These players have a USB DAC function (operating mode). These players did not want to work as a DAC with any of my Android smartphones, although they work perfectly with a Windows PC. You can also try connecting your Fiio M23 in USB DAC mode to your smartphone and I think that it (Fiio M23) in USB DAC mode will not work as a USB DAC either. I would be very interested to hear your story about this experience. Thank you.

    @@user-nm1ql9ff3b I only use Apple iPhones so I can’t comment on the Android phones. I can say I never had any issues using the Fiio M17 as a DAC with my IPhone and IPad. The two M23’s I had issues with pretty much everything which I’m assuming I received two 🍋

    @@neilsnyder7915 You obviously never seen my other videos if you’re trying to question me doing something wrong 😆 I have had almost every Fiio DAP since they started making DAP’s years ago, and some of those X3, X5, M11, M11 Plus LTD, M11S, M17 I have owned it did thorough reviews on. Most of Fiio’s DAP’s haven’t changed much in the last 5 years in fact I would say some have gotten worse since the M17 came out. I bought two M23’s and both had the same issues and more than likely lemons 🍋 I wasn’t going to buy a third as even if it had zero issues the sound stage is extremely narrow and it’s just plain Jane when it comes to it’s sound signature and the only good thing about it was its noise floor. The bass and mid bass is mediocre and the mids are also just average, the highs are tamed down from their previous DAP’s but there isn’t much separation in the instruments and overall just wasn’t that revealing. If it was priced at the M11s range then I would say it would be an excellent entry level DAP but at $1,000 CAD it was underwhelming

Based on your review and hearing the cons of these new Fiio daps, I feel like I may stick with my Fiio LTD at least for a while and then see what the future holds and it's so sad that Fiio is lowering their quality to that worst. I'm also surprised to see that Fiio has moved the coaxial output to the top of the dap just like Astell&kern, because here we prefer the outputs to the bottom for the possibility of hiding the cable while competing in EMMA. Right now some of our competitors are using a Chinese media player "AUNE" cost about 4000 dollars they are equipped in 3 cars but to be honest the sound is not that much better than Fiiio. It's like cheating the customer, some uses the Alpine HDS media player which might be a decent buy but I haven't had a chance to test the sound. All of their devices have had issues with going from 16 bit to hi res tracks when going from one track to the next. These are just two examples of Fiio product issues.

    FiiO has been doing this forever, right from the beginning, and clearly they haven't changed their ways. They do it deliberately knowing that Western customers keep giving them the benefit of the doubt & find the price-point too hard to resist. Do you remember the Fiio X5 3rd Gen DAP from FiiO? Look how many firmware updates, just like all FiiO's other DAPs. And on the sound front, usually an undesirable overly-warm tone (instead of neutral), bass bloat (not tight & accurate), & not enough air in the treble region, and somewhat narrow soundstage. IMO iBasso is more competent with their DAPs, better sound all-around. Like the DX 260. Chinese companies are similar to Chinese restaurants, always something not quite right with the meal. At home though for themselves they do it proper & perfect, but not for the Western scumbag customer, capiche? What, you got sucked in by their fake humility? The orientals been told the false narrative that we are Western devils, as if they are more humble & real than us. Westerners are far too trusting & naive in relation to these matters. The oriental mindset is spiteful, don't you know that? But done with subtlety to mock you & undermine you & rip you off while they pretend to be the good guy. Westerners are ignorant of the non-Christian mindset & the modes by which the heathen operate. It's all about mocking you & screwing you over while not making it obvious. And you might say, No, surely not 🥺 Bro, obviously you think everyone in this world operates with sincerity and a conscience & godliness. Westerners have got a lot to learn. Why do you think so many Africans, and Indians (from India) & Chinese get-away with billions in online scams? It's bad enough scammers in the West these days, how much worse the heathen nations who hate you as an excuse for their evil. Many people are not neighborly God-fearing persons, matey. You might ask me if i could sum it up in a nutshell... and i would ask if you have heard of a smiling assassin? "The Smiling Assassin is a so-called friend who is really an enemy whose main weapons are inconsistency and unpredictability. They use rumour to undermine colleagues and adopt a passive-aggressive, indirect, dishonest style of dealing with people and issues"😢

    Hi, I am pinging you from India, I have got Mille legend 280.3 tweeter installed along with mille legend 1800.3 mid bass, I have been driving 4 mid bass speaker of door from Audison Quattro 4 channel 120 watts rms 4 ohm, and remaining 4 tweeters from audison d class DSP Amp 8.14 @65 watt rms 4 ohms. I have yet not heard Audiofrog in my country, what do you suggest is choosing gb25 over mille 700.3 mid range drive going to be better, i personally felt Hertz flagship mid range drivers to be harsh while running at 80-90 prcnt of volume for 1-2 hours continuously. I have coupled this system with mille legend 2500.3 subwoofer getting power from audiocontrol lc1.800. Do you have anyother suggestions or recommendations as well.

  • @CarAudioHorizons
    @CarAudioHorizonsАй бұрын

    The best thing you could do is go to one midbass woofer and put them in kicks or in IB configuration. Having mid bass in the doors is the worse place for them, so if you have the room put them in the kicks, or underneath the seats would be the next best thing. I’m looking into this as well in my own personal vehicle. I’m not into multiple speakers like four midbass, or four mids, or tweets as I feel most vehicles that do that never sound good. I’m more of an SQ guy but I like to listen to my music at higher volumes. The Hertz ML280’s are good tweeters and I feel the best out of their three way system. If you have a three way system the most important speaker is the mid, so that’s where you should spend most of your money as long as the install is in a proper place like an A pillar and or sail panel and it’s installed correctly and tuned correctly then it will sound good. The instal and tune are the most important and then the brand. I wouldn’t buy anything until you max out what you have now. I’m not adding mids in my vehicle until I get my GB60’s out of the doors and into a proper inclosure where there is no resonance and rattles. If I can do that then I will add mids to the A pillars or my sail panels.

    @@CarAudioHorizons I have one more query, maybe that could help save me some money and help understand better, I found tweeters max not go beyond 28khz and understand normal hearing range of a human is 20-20k Hz, should I switch from a high res low amp which has 10-48Khz bandwidth to 10-22Khz bandwidth amplifier , i can save some money here and utilize it in putting A pillar setup and something else in car audio. For reference I am doing this setup in Ford Ecoposport which is shorter than 4 meters.

Never experienced this before in a DAP where it was extremely buggy for 3-4 days and now is fine. Fiio hasn’t released a new firmware update so I’m not sure what happened other than it might have not updated properly the 3 times I reset the device but the funny thing is I never tried to update it again as it just started working properly other than I still get the lag and a few other issues like the the FiiO Control App that never connects 😆 It’s back to start stop😅

    I personally like the original M11 and the M17, although the M17 took a while for me to warm up to its sound signature. Ever since the M11s I’m not sure what Fiio is doing. It’s unfortunate that a lot of the other companies don’t offer a proper coaxial digital out like a full size one that’s on the M17. This is what most car audio guys are going to use and Fiio is one of the few that offer it but no longer include the adapter and since they don’t include the adapter the sound quality I find has been inferior
