Dave, your content is awesome! If I may give you a slight suggestion..... I believe you would get WAYYYYYY more view, likes, and subscribers if you labeled each video" Hi-Res Car Audio": FiiO Q11 review" (or M17, M11s, or whatever you're trying out). You will still get the FiiO review searchers that listen with their computer or headphones, but everyone in Car Audio doesn't know all these different DAP/DAC's. I know personally I just search Hi-Res Car Audio and if you do pop up, it's way down the list. Not being critical, and I totally appreciate your channel, time, and money. I just want you to get a shit load of traffic.

Thanks for the feedback but I do have that as one of my tags. KZread Analytics actually tells you what the top search words are for your videos. As for the Review part it’s actually the opposite of that. You want something catchy for your headline and Review is kind of boring. All my stats are doing well for the amount of subscribers I have. I have compared my review videos like FiiO BTR7 to big channels that have 260k subs and my video did a lot better when you compare subscribers to views. Car audio just isn’t that big of a thing as you can tell by the few channels with over 100k subs which you can count on one hand.

But thanks for the reminder as I forgot to put Review on my actual thumb nail lol Also anytime you do a KZread video you have tags, those tags are your keywords and I have many with regards to Car Audio, and yes there is Hi Res Car Audio on some of my videos. Not all of my videos but some. I’m like the 8th video over when I search Hi Res Car Audio. Search Helix DSP and I’m the first and second video. DSP is one of the most popular search words on google for car audio right now.

So you recommend the balanced output to a helix DSP? what did you use to control the volume? The Q11 or the director? Is it also possible to use only the Q11 volume control into the DSP or do you have to use the a director to control gains?

I have a helix v twelve and fiio m11 plus. What’s the best way for me to hook it up? My helix does not have a coaxial input It does have an optical input.

Not a bad little unit if you’re using the balanced output. I don’t see this on Amazon do you have a link for it?

I always like to give more power to speakers or headphones than recommended. I like headroom so I would go with something that has at least 2000mW + but thats just me.

The new ka5 also looks promising, would you do a review on that unit, also optical output in such a small device

​@Car Audio Horizons can u help me, I have the brt7 pair with android note 20. Installed with digital coax cable to a 3.5 mm and when I switch to digital coax on the director, there's no sound being transmitted. Any idea what could it be?

Hello dear car audio horizons, how did you make to recognize the apple lightning cable, it does not recognize even the original that comes with the iphone, the dac only recognizes the cable that comes in the box the short black but for me it is very uncomfortable, I hope you can help me thank you

@@jorgeapp23 Interesting, as I used an Apple USB C to USB cable with my IPad and it worked perfectly. I always use the Apple camera adapter when I’m using my iPhone and that worked fine as well. Sometimes with cables on certain products, some work and others have issues. I know from past experience if you’re having issues with lighting cables I have used a lightning OTG cable and that solved things.

Hello, how are you? I have bought the fiio q11 but its sound signature highlights the treble so much that they hurt my ears, do you know any way to change that signature or some dac amp with neutral signature? If I had known that they had a sound signature, i wouldn't have bought them, thank you

@@CarAudioHorizons I managed to try them with an fiio iem and the difference was from heaven to earth, previously I was testing them with an sennheiser momentum 3 wired but it was horrible the mids too highs it hurts

@@jorgeapp23 I’m testing some Fosi Audio products and SMSL products as well. Their around the same price range as the FiiO Q11 so will see if they’re better. It’s taking me a lot longer to get the reviews out as we had a lot of fires here in Alberta and the Air Quality has been terrible so I had to postpone the reviews as I’m waiting for the air quality to get better

I wouldn’t be using this to drive Planar Headphones. The M17 will handle them with ease. The new M15s should do the job as well.

Cause apples a pain in the A to get approval etc especially right now lol get on andriod with galaxy 20+ ultra phones alot better tons of customization. Apples too basic anyway.

@@CarAudioHorizons I’m using it to drive the planar IEM KZ PR2, which many people say is hard to drive with only a DAC dongle. Additionally, I got the Q11 for $50.

Fiio seems to be hit or miss lately I’m finding as I have bought a few of their products. The biggest disappointment for me was their m11s as I was expecting it would have been better than the m11 and it was not.

Yes, that’s why I called it the brightest DAP out there 🌞 The coaxial digital out on it was pretty bad as well compared the the original M11. I think that’s why they didn’t include the coaxial digital adapter. Also we are seeing DAP’s come out in the same price rage with the latest tech with better screens, Android 12, and just better specs all around for the same price

You can't blame Fiio. Blame Apple, it's what they do.

@@LemonySnicket-EUC it’s definitely a FiiO problem. Fiio has had quite a few issues with quite a few of their products. Some never get updated even when they are aware of the issues. Having to buy an android device to change a setting is pretty pathetic. Why would you blame Apple when it’s a FiiO product, that makes zero sense.

@@LemonySnicket-EUC You’re missing the point 😆 It’s a Fiio Product and they could have easily made it internal and not through an app which I might add most of their apps in the past were extremely buggy with the DAC/AMPS. They have plenty of products that work with Apple products, just like they use to give you a coaxial digital audio adapter with their DAP’s and don’t anymore. I was a big fan of Fiio up until last year where everything they brought out sounded worse than the previous 1-2 years of products.
