    I had the BTR 5. I was extremely impressed. I regretted selling it however I purchased the BTL7 and I can confirm I was blown away in every respect. So pleased I didn't get any of the alternatives. Nothing compares to it - nothing is on parr.

I have been using btr7 with an IEM and it would be nice to be able to use it as btr in a car audio set up. Please allow me to ask several questions When you phone is connected to btr7 as the audio source, can you still use google map on your head unit just like when you are connected directly to the head unit from the phone. Since you pass the signal from fiiO to your dsp, can we still get the audio from the factory head unit? 2. If i use the fiiO in the bluetooth mode, can i still plug the usb-c port to the car usb port for charging simultaneously? Appreciate your advice, Dave.

    I connect my BTR15 to aux in of mu DSP. I was so shocked, the sound quality is much more better than my Sony Head Unit. Omg! It’s a bit hassle actually, since when I use the DAC as the inout of the DSP, the head unit is not functioning except for camera purposes. I guess the best way is connecting the DAC to the aux of the HU (not the DSP), unfortunately my HU does not have 3.5mm aux. It only has a USB which doesnt work when I connect the DAC to it. Do you have a better idea?

    Hello Dave, one question. How are you getting 32 bit though Apple Music? When one clicks on the lossless logo it tells you the bit rate that the song is playing and I have yet to find any 32 bit song, max 24 bit … iPad plays bit rate natively so is there maybe some up sampling happening from the settings on the btr7? Thanks!

  • @CarAudioHorizons

    @CarAudioHorizons

    Жыл бұрын

    This is from FiiO-> When connecting the BTR7 via USB and playing 24bit tracks through FiiO Music app, why would the BTR7 show 32bit? The bit depth displayed on the BTR7 is the bit depth of the song transmission, which is different from that of the track. This is the best compatibility we chose when customizing the XMOS USB AUDIO driver.

    OK curious why doesn’t the Apple cable that comes with my iPhone work with this dac? I do have the cable that came with the dac for the iPhone and it does work it’s just very short. Also, I’m just wondering I get this kind of metallic sensation from the FiiO DACs I’m doing something wrong is there a way to lesson that. One other thing the FiiO website does anybody know why it’s so slow and or if there’s another link for the firmware update because the website is almost impossible to access --so slow so very slow… the FiiO app says it’s updated, but the current firmware is V1.85 but I have 1.68.

    @@mike_saw_7563 Well in this video I showed multiple ways of connecting it to my Helix DSP Ultra which would be the same as your Helix V Eight if you’re trying to connect it to the RCA’s other than I’m using an iPhone or iPad. I’m just using the Audioquest 3.5 to RCA cable in the video. It just depends on which way you want to do it as you have the Hec Bluetooth module and I don’t at this time.

    @@CarAudioHorizons So I am using inputs A, B, C and D on the V8 which comes from my factory radio but am using all the 8 outputs. So if I want to hardwire this I need to get a 3.5 to RCA cable and plug those RCAs into E or F on the input side of the Helix?

    @@mike_saw_7563 I’m not 100% sure on the Helix V Eight as I know it’s slightly different to the Helix DSP Ultra but it will tell you in the manual. I believe the inputs I’m using are G & H but I would have to take a look at the back. Also my analog input gain is slightly different as well as I have independent gains for each input, and to get to mine I had to take the cover off of the unit to adjust the analog gains.
