even tho i cant but a new controller i still like watching your reviews because they very well made and entertaining
Bro how you like the eswap s
If you can buy the modules then it's ok otherwise stay away from it.
@@LoneWolf-qb9si the modules are fixed the new ones
@@maikelstapper4347 I have the eswap s but sticks are not available in my country ,the sticks started drifting and jittering after 1 week without using it ,so if sticks are available then ok also sticks cost too much in my opinion.
@@LoneWolf-qb9si i use the new one and use my stick now 2 months and no jittering and drift is almost little butt the eswap s have i to i gonna by the eswap x2 for shooters its play amazing
This was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for taking time to do the proper research and testing!
Aliexpress brands have been using the same sensors for years with success. And i dont doubt this is just a re-shelled one of them. Search up gamersir, they do controllers with the sane thunbstick sensors for less then £30 lol.
Raw mode vs Normal ? I see all the controllers in this video are using “raw mode” what Gamesir calls it, I have my preferred, but what would you say is the difference and what one over the other?
raw mode means they turn off the hidden deadzone, make it completely no deadzone and will drift a little, applicable to hall effect stick only
Can’t wait
oh my god man i love you
I use the Xbox headset for USB audio and it is so amazing. Please test it out, I'm not lying.
The wireless version can be used with USB-C
Great video.
How you like the eswap s bro for aiming is amazing
It would be interesting to see if you could calibrate the controller on the console internet browser. I know the xbox edge browser is quite reliable, but doesnt work with 100% of the sites out there.
So i got the kalied and after updating the controller to 1000hz on pc. It just keeps disconnecting and i did it through the app method because downloading the firmware came up as a virus. My G7 SE never gave me any issues.
G7 se is still he best bang for your buck controller for stick players currently.2 Paddles Hall effect sticks with customizable dead zones and trigger dead zones and current software updates for under $45 dollars. But as a gyro and motion controls player I've stopped using these kind of controller
No vibration for PS5 games???
@@MOAON_AABE no third party controllers have this so far. Not sure we’ll ever get this feature working 🤦🏽
Try playing Apex Legends please
If the kaleid also 1000hz on xbox wich one is then better the g7se or the kaleid bro ?
At this point, you are downright lying to everyone. GameSir gamepads have filtering/smoothing that adds input delay to sticks. I have suspected for months, and JohnnyPunch has PROVEN it exists. High polling rates, fake resolution, and inaccurate output won't save you from the truth. Admit you're wrong and do better dude. Almost every single thing I have "felt" has now been proven, even 8BitDo not filtering output. Starting to think you wouldn't even notice if someone flipped v-sync on in your game dude. Please stop digging your hole deeper.
@@Dead-0-Zone bro first of all it’s good to hear from you. Yes you’ve been correct that HE sticks are different, and that’s exactly what I’ve said in the past that it takes a bit adjusting to. Look at the situation from my view, I’m testing on consoles at 120fps, my game experience after the update has been great, I’m sharing everything I can test from high speed screen recordings to motorised stick movements. I’m sure Johny will discover all the issues you’ve experienced and someone with a proper pc will show this further. You did such great work with the videos you posted and we need more of that. I can share what I can test in my capabilities and my experience. I purchase the product myself, I have no incentive if Gamesir or any other selling more or less controllers. Please don’t take this personally, hope you are doing great and you understand my point.
@thephototechy I've suffered my whole life with severe and persistent mental illness. It prevents me from having any sort of meaningful relationship. I am lucky enough to have my family. My personality is unconventional and undesirable. I'm basically crazy okay. All I ever get is dismissed. Johnny gets all the credit for what? My discoveries and persistence are the only reason he was motivated to test this stuff. Yet I'm basically a laughing stock "wannabe" and that hurts after all the time and energy I put in this stuff. I gravitated towards your channel about a year ago because I noticed you ACTUALLY engage with low lifes like me. I just want the lies to stop and to get better controllers NOT worse as they are getting. Longevity means NOTHING over performance in my eyes. Thanks for the reply. I still watch and probably always will ✌️
@@Dead-0-Zone bro I honestly wish I could communicate with you other than KZread. You’ve actually helped not just me but a lot of others with your knowledge. What I want to know is why all the licensed controllers are using Ksilver sticks. When 8bit announced the Xbox HE controller, I was excited to finally experience the Gulikit sticks, as I thought thats what they had used for their HE controllers, to my surprise even their controller has Ksilver. Gamesir nova controllers looks like are using Gulikit sticks, but they aren’t licensed. It seems there’s something happening where Ksilver is being prioritised. I do hope you post more videos bro.
I’m about to get a new g7se I want to keep the 1000hz option or 500hz option whatever one it is for xbox do I have anything to worry about with the new controller I get. I still have the nexus app downloaded and ready to go on my pc. Just kinda freaking out lol.
Hey bro so currently it’s still working with 6.30 firmware. I do have a feeling the next firmware might make the G7se behave like the Kaleid, where it might only do 500hz on Xbox. Right now we are ok with 1000hz
Thanks for the technical analysis, hopefully one day we get a true no compromise pro controller for xbox.
Microsoft is honestly sitting on one, elite series 3. I’m hoping they fix all the wrongs with series 2 on that one.
hi, do these settings work on PC?
@@karpovichgaming6425 hey the settings will save on the controller so will work on pc, but I have a feeling the response of the controller must be quicker on pc, so definitely play around with the numbers a bit and see what suits you best.
Hello, is their a way to fix this? Or just wait for a firmware update?
So I bought the g7 and tried to figure out how to get it to 1000 I changed it than when I clicked filter driver error pops up. I continue through it than unplug plug back in after I install and it’s all red been trying to figure this out all day. I turned off secure boot and I’m on administrative mode. Will answer any questions if you could help!
@@Shlarchey hey are you using the usb overclock method? G7. Can be overclocked through the gamesir own nexus app and don’t need third party tools
@@thephototechy you right! thank you! The 3rd party was not working at all lol I was losing my mind the app worked though and made all 3 profiles 1k hrtz appreicate ya!
The Kaleid frictionrings that the sticks are moving up against are they the same material as the G7 SE? Because if yes that’s a huge problem then, because they don’t last long and with the G7 SE you can buy replacement kid but that’s not possible with the Kaleid since you can’t take of the shell 👎🏻 and the sticks are they the same height as the G7 SE or higher? Because the G7 SE has a lower height sticks then normal Xbox controller. Can you test this out ? Because if the Kaleid got improved frictionrings and better performaning hall Effect sticks then with the 500hz support on Xbox I can definitely see the point in upgrading, but if the Kaleid got the same frictionrings like G7 SE, then no thanks
@@BA3YDADDY hey bro so I did open mine and installed the G7se rings on it to test if the physical active area had changed at all, but they fit perfectly. I don’t have any rubbing noises from Kaleid like the G7se gets from time to time, and the rings on the Kaleid do seem a little different, but I’ll take them out and make short about it for sure.
Did you say the Kaleid can reach 2000hz on PC? Surely I misunderstood because that sounds way too fast. Thanks for the video, very helpful as always!
@@theswagger5386 hey so the inputs in my app are calculated by both axis values from the stick, so the update per second of 1878 is 2 simultaneous values changing, the real report rate will be half of that essentially. So around 940 inputs are being sent every second through the stick values, which come in line of the 1000hz operation.
@@thephototechy Got it, thank you!
I have 2 this controller. Khaleid is better feel on grip
Shite controller
So between the GameSIR G7SE, Kalied, and the Flux which one is the superior one? (Running late to work can't finish the video and need to buy a new controller ASAP)
Would really be interested in seeing you review the Vader 4 Pro
Awesome testing methods!
Well done video! Playing on both Xbox and PC i prefer the SE on Xbox and the Kaleid on PC. Cant seem to get my SE to 1000hz to save my life but it plays pretty well at 500
A bit inconvenient but if you plug in your mic/headset into another controller you can still hear game audio while using 1000hz on the gamesir controller
Is the Kaleids 500 hz much faster then a elite series 2 controller ?
Interesting video, as always. I still prefer the T4 Kalied over the G7 SE. I play on PC mainly, and some on PS5, so the Xbox license is not important for me (I had an Xbox Series S but the input lag was terrible - at least of Apex Lengends- and I sold it). For me the T4 Kaleid feels a little better on PC W11 Apex Lengends over the G7 SE. I have not tried the new Kaleid. (I did the same you are commenting on the video with the G7 SE, I hoarded 3 T4 Kaleids, given how much I like it) BTW, I think the PS5 does some filtering when using the Dualsense, over using it on PC. On PS5 feels a better and more steady controller.
@@blorbb5398 hey bro thanks for sharing, I did a quick test of standard dual sense on my laptop in Xdefiant and got strangely high latency results. That even with 1000hz overclock. I discarded them as my laptop just barely runs the game at all. I’ll definitely try and test for dualsense controllers once I’m on pc as well. But you are correct, dualsense standard feels great on ps5 and edge is truly something else on Ps5.
Can i use it on my xbox one
Every time I push my right joystick down hard it literally shuts it off
Great stuff! Thank you. Do you recommend swapping out thumb sticks on kaleid? If so, do you recommend a particular brand of thumb sticks?
Great video as always! I have a question, what are your current thoughts now on the G7 NON-SE?
@@BassThrashin bro you won’t believe this, I just calibrated it for my daily for the next couple of days 😂 I think the G7 would beat the SE for response on Xbox, but mine needs a bit more deadzones than the SE, still I’m going to be using that one and definitely going to test the SE and G7 side by side on my new 1440p monitor. Man coming from 1080 to 1440p on Xbox and PS5 has been great, also I do think the acer 1440p monitor I got shows way better motion which makes gaming even more fun for me. I’m eager to use the BFI mode on the monitor with 1000hz on G7 and sniping on Xdefiant tonight, as I just unlocked the new sniper.
@@thephototechy that’s great! 1440p does make a big difference IMO.
@@BassThrashin bro I’m in a new world 😂 I should’ve made the purchase before. Now I’m thinking if 4k 120 would be good on consoles for COD and Xdefiant 🤔
@@thephototechy pretty sure X and PS5 downscales from 4k for lower resolutions so performance wise it should not be a detriment, only positives.
How'd you get grey colored sticks on your kaleid ?
@@DevMfWalker hey bro, so I swapped them from the G7se as I was trying to check if they work, I also installed the Kaleid’s in my G7se.
@thephototechy nice, I didn't even know you could do that with the kaleid . I wonder if you can swap them with regular xbox sticks that way you can use xbox branded kontrolfreeks for them. That would be a cheaper swap out then having to buy new kontrolfreeks. If you were able to just buy $5 sticks and switch them out.
@@DevMfWalker Hey bro so yes you can do that too, and it actually makes the respose curve a bit more aggressive, as it reduces the resolution a bit. It's something I've recommended in the past for G7se if people find it sluggish. For Kaleid you'd have to open the controller which'll peeling the back sticker to access one screw and will void warranty.
@thephototechy alright good to know thanks man!
Absolutely tremendous content - great to see you playing XDefiant AND Valorant - real games. Deadsec main here - I see you like my little friend.
@@fwabble yea bro, thanks for the support!
@@thephototechyThank vor the Video! I switched to PC from Xbox since 2 weeks. Which Controller is better for only PC? G7SE or Kaleid?
I bought a g7se some months ago. I only watched this because it's such a good controller.
How much rate you give for the kaleid ?
@@abdoubacha873 hey on pc definitely use 1000hz, but for Xbox set it to 500hz.
@@thephototechy no i mean how you rate it 10/?
@@abdoubacha873 oh sorry bro 😂 for me it’ll be a 7/10 just because of only 2 back buttons and no trigger stops.
@thephototechy dont worry bro, so its better than G7 Se ?
@@abdoubacha873 in a lot of ways it is, like the ergonomics and the ability to have audio, but aim response for me is still with G7se with the current firmware. This might change and G7se might lose the 1000hz on Xbox just like Kaleid, so for now G7se has shown the quickest aim response with 1000hz on Xbox in my tests.
Just about to start watching this one bro. I still haven’t managed to do the update for my Kaleid that you told me should fix the sound issues I’ve got because I don’t have a pc or laptop. I’ve tried to borrow a laptop but couldn’t find anyone willing to help me. Not sure what else to do now. It’s driving me nuts having to run my headset through a separate controller
@@michaelcrimp8193 bro I should’ve remembered this and mentioned in the video. The need to have a pc just to get extra much needed performance is an issue, it should be a plug and play experience with licensed Xbox controllers.
@@thephototechy yeah mate for sure. It’s stupid that I can’t use the Nexus app to update the controller. This is still my favourite controller I’ve ever used though so at the moment I’m putting up with it. Far better than the Elite 2 I used for a good while. The other controller I have is the Gambit but I find the sticks perform much better on the Kaleid. I also find that the clicky buttons respond in game better than anything I’ve used. I play Bf1. I’m quite happy with two back buttons also. Do you know if the Kalied at standard like I’m using responds better than the Gambit because I feel like does. I’m wondering if it’s just in my head and I’d be better trying to get used to the Gambit so I can use my headphones properly and have trigger stops that are not homemade 🤣
@@michaelcrimp8193 bro Gambit is a very responsive controller, but it has that 5% minimum deadzone which really spoils it a bit. I do love the true raw aim output of the gambit and the physical feel of favorunion sticks is nice as well, it they do feel to lose a bit more tension at the edges, where the Ksilver do feel a bit more uniform. One issue I’ve found with gambit is bitter on sticks after some game time, combined that with the forced deadzone, definitely makes it go down the list a bit, coz it’ll depend how much time it’ll last for. If you can get the update for Kaleid and set it to 500hz, you’ll definitely feel what the controller can do at its best.
@@thephototechy thanks mate. Loving your videos by the way. I might try and see if I can take the Kaleid out local library because I think there might be access to pcs in there that I could use 🤣. Just don’t know when because I’m usually in work when it’s open
hey bro, my kalid doesn't have the 1000hz option, is there any procedure to do to get 1000hz?
hey bro, yes please see the tutorials on the link below www.gamesir.hk/pages/kaleid-series-1000hz-polling-rate-upgrade-tutorial
@@thephototechy the file download says it is a virus. Which one did you do?
@@PeowUDead hey so get the T4k app through the Microsoft store and use the first method, so no need to download the files.
yeah the hyper response fucked my shit up after updating it today i shouldn’t even have updated the firmware, now my aiming is horrible ASF. if you haven’t updated, don’t update the firmware
@@Wagerwhizz hey so the aim algorithm has stayed the same with 13% error rate figure due to the extra diagonals. My controller even before the update had the same output. Have you done a manual calibration and checked if stick output is linear and reached max register at close to physical thumbstick gate?
i just updated my power a fusion pro 3 wired and it fucked up my deadzoen and aiming.. smfh
@@Wagerwhizz hey have you done a calibration after the update? Also check that you reach the max register very close to the thumbstick gate.
The g7se for what ever reason the aimassist worked better on apex legends than the kalied
@@DontHesitate140 hey bro that’s interesting and thanks for sharing. Just to confirm it was in 1000hz?
@thephototechy yea, and I can still replicate it.
would you recommend one of these for fps games on Xbox or something else?
Hey bro, so I’ve mentioned this before, HE sticks have a different feel to them. It’s be gotten used to them a lot and can easily adjust between potentiometer and HE sticks, but still I can’t play with the same settings on HE as potentiometer sticks. If you are too used to normal sticks you might find the difference jarring and may not want to adjust to it. The big positive for me has been the ability to play with very minimal deadzones, something I have to keep slightly higher on potentiometer sticks, on most of xbox third party controllers. I’d say if you are willing to try something different then give either G7se or Kaleid a go, if you need that familiar feel with great response time, then go with the standard G7se and use the 1000hz on Xbox with that.
