Great review! I was playing with it today after watching your review. But it just cant beat the g7se when it comes to long range engagements, i play warzone manly so i do need a lot of long range precision. That small bit of deadzone is quite noticeable. That being said everything else feels great.

I love the Razer back button placement. Out of the way but still effective.

I do wish they were a bit more outwards, its something they've done on the V2 pro. Once I did get used to them they worked very well for me, unfortunatley at my age I could only use it effectively for an hour or so lol.

What is the best for fps scooters this one or the g7se with 1000 hz or the turtle beach stealth ?

I like the Universal no-slip grips from KontrolFreek too.

@@thephototechy In terms of longevity I have had mine (2 green, 2 black, xbox branded pack) for about 3 months now and at least 1 of the green ones has had daily use and it is still good and grippy. No complaints from me so far. I recently bought the KontrolFreek EDGE set and am now using the low-rise Edge domed on the left stick and a mid-rise Galaxy on the right stick. I am very pleased and satisfied with the quality of the KontrolFreek products, especially the Edge and Galaxy and the no-slip universals.

For Shooter and RPG in Wireless Gaming do you prefere Xbox Elite 2 or stealth Ultra Controller ?

This pad has best sticks imo. And extra 2 buttons on top - ive never seen anywhere. Very convenient for looting in Apex. The only con and its huge - vulnerable usb connection. If u are not careful with it usb port will break. Like how? Well, gamepad loses connection to the point nothing helps.

Great review as always! Would you say the extra money for the v2 chroma is worth spending over the nacon revolution x?

Hey bro, so the Chroma is definitely a much better built controller with 2 extra buttons, and potential of lower deadzones than the revolutionx. Saying that the revolution x is also using the same alps sticks like the chroma v2 and will give you options for a custom response curve, which can happen if your chosen game has response not to your liking. Just as I write this comment the Chroma V2 is down to £100 here in UK, which is the price of the revolutionX, so for the same price I'd pick the chroma as long as I can get that 1 year warranty cover. For the usual prices I'd say it makes sense to go with the revolution x.

I love the controller overall. Just not comfortable enough for me because I have small hands. I’ve got arthritis and it’s hard to stretch my fingers to reach the back buttons.

Thank you for your review, very in-depth. Is it possible on the thumb sticks to make the left/right sensitivity lower than the up and down sense? I have an injured thumb so when I look up, I over compensate on the left/right.

Hey you are most welcome! The clutch feature only works in cutting the stick travel in all directions, and there is no way for changing sensitivity by changing the register at different levels. What you describe can either be achieved via in game sensitivity options, or maybe something of a resolution change in specific direction which’ll change the sensitivity. I haven’t come across a controller with such an option but definitely sounds interesting, as my turtlebeach stealth ultra has uneven resolution, giving it an uneven response somewhat.

what is the deadzone value that most closely resembles that of an elite or original series x controller?

I am using this controller since nearly 2 years now and I still love it, especially all the tactile buttons. I wish there would be a v3 with Hall effect sticks, do you know if there is anything planned?

Hey haven’t come across any rumours,but a Hall effect version with the raw output and resolution of this one will definitely be interesting

Will you be reviewing AIM controllers in the future? I would love to hear your opinion, they're now selling them with hall effect sticks but it seems there's no software to do any adjustments which is holding me back from buying one

Hey so I’m thinking of looking into the third party modified controllers as well. The lead time after you order always makes me hesitant, but yes I think I’ll try aim’s as they are better than hypr according to reviews online.

A great review. I was thinking about buying this gamepad to be able to invert X axis via software, but it seems like i can't do it. %99 of games support this feature in game's own settings but some companies (like rockstar games) still insists to not add these options, especially invert X-axis. And this makes a game unplayable for peoples like me. is there even any officially playstation licensed controller can to that ?

Hey so if you are using it on pc or xbox you can use the accessories app to reverse the axis. For playstation the only ones I have are the BFG and Nacon rev 5 pro an both allow Y axis invert, so the vertical inverted only. Plz do wath my video on third party controllers on PS5 first if you are thinking of using them on PS5.

Hello do you know if the thumb stick performance is the same as the Razer Wolverine ultimate , and have you done a review for that on already?

Hey bro I missed out on that one, so not sure if the ultimate had forced deadzones or not.

I loved the wolverine ultimate apart from the overly large, slippery thumbsticks which wore smoother and more slippery as time passed. And razer don't support their own product by selling replacement sticks. 160 pound controller rendered useless because of thumstick material. The chroma is bad. The curve of the trigger slides your finger towards the bumper and the pivot point of the trigger has been moved down meaning my finger is almost over the pivot point, not below. Felt like I had to push down rather than pull in the trigger. Razer made the best ever controller , apart from the thumsticks/materials and ruined it with chroma.

I watched your reviews both Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma and Asus Rog Raikiri standart. Great reviews But I am unsure about which one to get. Do you have an advice?

Hey bro, I wouldn't recommend the Raikiri because it has built-in dead zones that are larger than what you get with the Razer V2 Chroma. Plus, the Raikiri has axial dead zones. Between the two, the Razer is definitely the better option. However, the Razer has its own issues, like longevity problems where the back buttons can break off, and it lacks a manual calibration option. Still if it comes down to between these 2 Razer with higher resolution stick output and more extra buttons would be the win for me, that’s not to say ASUs is bad, but it’s beat agains the V2 chroma imo.

Yeah they have changed the back buttons slightly on the V2 pro for ps5, I'm thinking of getting it but worried that it might have latency issues as well on PS5.

I am very lucky , i have the tiniest movement on 1 on one stick and it shows up at complete zero on setting 2

Will you make a comparison between Asus ROG Raikiri and Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma? Which of them has a better build quality? Tnx

Hey I only have the standard Raikiri which only has 2 back buttons, not the Raikiri pro. Razer feels better with the materials used on the grips, compared to Raikiri’s plastic texture only. But the feel of the plastics is not cheap on both of them and the surface treatment definitely feels better than standard controllers.

What I dont understand about all these pro controller companies is why they insist on putting rear buttons in a location that is not well suited for hand control. The PDP Victrix Pro BFG gets it mostly right but I can't use a controller like this because my fingers are resting near the rear center back; they're resting on the grips of the controller, smh. I suspect the designers are not actual gamers and/or using their own products.

So my theory is, they are trying to target users that don't need the back buttons as well and don't want to make a product where they lose that customer. I think this kind of design is not the solution and something like the elite series2, or maybe like the G7se's back button lock is probably the right way. I'm also curious to find out what market research they do in designing these controllers.

So from a technical point of view Eswap, but both have a very different feel. I actually want to make a video explaining this a bit, as Eswap will have some extra inputs in the diagonal range and can feel a bit hyper responsive, where as Wolverine is very smooth and predictable.

Hey bro, so on my seriesx I spend a lot of time on EswapX and G7se. On PS5 was Nacon Rev 5 pro but since got edge, that’s my main on PS5 now. Stealth ultra and snakebyte gamepd pro see some game time as well. I just started playing with my old victrix gambit today and really missed the aim feel of it, unfortunately it has some minimum deadzones so won’t stay in rotation much. If the G7se lose the 1000hz completely on Xbox then that one will be out of rotation as well, coz in 250hz stealth ultra has it beat. So EswapX although not absolutely perfect but does tick a lot of boxes for me, but like I mentioned in it’s review about the sticks getting jitter every now and then.

Tbf I'm loving it I've sidelined the g7se and stealth ultra atm lol

Too wide and the paddles are the worst place and your hands cover the rgb makes it useless And the top 2 paddles broke easy because only a plastic holds it, the bottom 2 is fine because it uses metal It's so bad because this controller could be awesome

For the LOVE of GOD, WHY do they KEEP MAKING THE BACK PADDLES LIKE THAT? Even the new ones!!! Like who could have told razor and said yeah we love that paddle configuration very ergonomic 👌. Like WHAT? NO!! I can imagine everyone complains about the paddles yet they still make it like that for god knows why . I really want to talk to whoever designed this

Hey so my theory is they try and make it so people who don’t need them can still potentially buy the product, which honestly is not the right solution. I also would love to see their market research on how many people buying the controllers don’t use the back buttons. They did improve the position slightly on the V2 pro, where they are bit more outwards, but still not the most ideal solution. The best solution would be a good position and removable. I hope other manufacturers can implement this extra shoulder buttons, as they are surprisingly good.

I dont have big hands, but the only other style I have owned with back bumpers is the elite xbox, the steam deck and the Legion go. This controller (v2 chroma) is awesome in comparison and feels reallly good, I dunno maybe I have the perfect shape hands and my grip is natural for it.

@@roakey8167 The funny thing is, no one really seems to know how to hold it. I've seen like three different interpretations of how you're supposed to grip your controller with those back paddles. It's just so.... Un ergonomic

@@ChaoticMuchX I hear that a lot for some people, but for me its very ergonomic, and some of the play I have seen on youtube with this controller utilising all 6 buttons on call of duty is some of the sickerst I have ever seen. And what ever anyone says the top 2 bumpers are amazing, every controller should have them.

@@roakey8167 I'm curious to know those people that you're talking about, how do they hold the controller? Do they keep a finger on each paddle? Meaning their middle and ring finger each rests on a paddle. Or is it just a middle finger to actuate both too and bottom paddles . I'm really curious to know what the official way to hold it is, like how razor imagines it to be held when they were designing it.
