Hey I run the skull as well on left for some controllers, the no slip grip are also a good alternative but more expensive than the skulls. I’ll be comparing them in a video soon.

I use the skulls on my old xbox original controllers it's a lot better than the regular thumbsticks cuz they are cheap but its hilarious I have a tall right stick on a console that predates kf even 🤣

Recently discovered the KF No-Slip Universal Grips and I'm loving them for the left stick! Also wanted to recommend the KF "Edge", specifically the KF low-rise Edge domed on the left-stick, with a Galaxy on the right stick. Give that combination a try! I find that the domed Edge KF on the left stick compliments the Galaxy concave on the right very well.

I recently was using skull and co tall concave on the right and low-rise domed on the left I really liked it but now I'm using crystal galaxies to complete the way I customized my controller which I'm very happy with 😂

Now, I'm playing with a Gamesir G7 SE, and I miss this greater height on the right thumb. Does Crystal Galaxy fill this void?😅What is the correct CF for the G7 SE? It would be the PS5? Hey yes the PlayStation version are the ones for G7se. Crystal galaxies are actually very grippy and definitely one of the best imo. They do look really good as well and I don’t want to waste them 😂. I’d say any galaxies would be the perfect companion for the G7se for sure.

I personally use cqc rush on left stick and inferno on right stick. I prefer the concave of the inferno to the galaxy. Cqc rush exclusively only for the left stick. I had some spare no slip grips and i tried it over top of the inferno and it actually fit over it and i would recommend that if your kontrol freeks have lost their grip. None of my kontrol freeks have lost their grip but i had an extra slip over grip and wanted to see what an ever higher high rise would be like and found that i actually liked it. Lol.

Purple Galaxy is reallly gooooood wish they were not so expensive but worth it had mine for over 1+ year now.

Hey have you completely lost the texture after a year? I have one with around 7 months use and the texture is definitely not the same, but grip is still there.

@@thephototechy yes texture is half way gone on the high rise but grip still around Ive been using mine for about 1year now. The low rise completely destroyed 🙂

Do the ps4/5 galaxy control freeks fit on the g7 se wired controller?

Amazing video

I'm 90% happy with my Nacon PS5 controller. I use the largest thumb grips that come with the controller. The only thing I'm not really happy about is the top of the thumb grip is too smooth. I'd rather if they were a bit more textured. I'd prefer to buy a Nacon official product if and when they eventually release thumb grip accessories.

Hey so you can try something like a no slip grip on top of that tall cap that comes with the Nacon. I do that with the skull and co but find the KF no slip to have slight knife grip and a similar feel to galaxies.

Phototechy should I delete my Gamesir app from my Xbox in order to keep the 1000Hz setting for the G7se controller, Or keep the app and simply don't update?

Hey so I initially deleted it but then re-downloaded it and going to keep it without updating it. If auto update is off we should be fine, also apparently we should be able to set it on pc and take it to Xbox after update and it should work.

I have a gamesir se for the xbox what are you guys talking about? I haven't heard of this. Is there an update coming out that is going to brick the controller to not get 1000hz ?

@@nickmavis3158 hey so Microsoft has asked gamesir to remove 1000hz from Xbox. The next update of nexus on Xbox will remove this feature, so if someone had it enabled the option will show fox audio port or something, and that’ll disable the 1000hz. Gamesir has a discord post about it and they explain in detail what’s going to happen. But if you already have the 1000hz enabled then it seems we can keep that.

Another problem that you didnt seem to mention is that the plastic parts that latch on to the stick (at least on the xbox ones) rip the rubber part of the stick.

Dear PhotoTechy, I bought G7 SE and I have a few questions: 1. Can I overlock it to 1000mhz for Xbox gaming? 2. Are build-in zones much smaller than on the default Xbox Series controller? I didnt touch the app yet but in Battlefield I get absolutely no drift with 0 deadzones in game. Crazy. 3. Do you recommend raw mode for all games?

Hey bro so currently the nexus on Xbox still has 1000hz and it’s working, how long it’ll stay have no idea, as it’s supposed to be disabled on the software when the new update drops. But I’ve read that if we enable it on the controller it stays on and won’t be disabled on Xbox, something will need testing after the update. Out of box there are 10% d eq drones applied on G7se which have to be disabled through the nexus software, I’d highly recommend you do that and use 3-5 in battlefield. Try without raw mode first and enable it if you find the controller a bit slow to respond for that initial movement, I doubt you’ll find it slower with the 1000hz but in 250hz it definitely used to feel a bit sluggish with raw off, something I showed in the 1000hz deep dive video.

wow the aiming is so accurate with hall effect and no build-in deadzones. Crazy stuff. I feel like playing on another level. Tbh I even like the shape of the caps. I think that Xbox will have to change their plans for the new controller. They wanted normal but replacable modules with potentiometers like in dualsense edge but it will be a mistake if for the same price I can buy G7 SE. Nobody with knowledge about G7 SE will buy it.

I personally buy the knockoffs for super cheap on aliexpress I know I shouldn't but idc I'm not gonna pay 16-26 dollars for a few grams of rubber and plastic when I could pay $4.00 shipped for the same product well almost the same I have black galaxies crystal galaxies and even a set of black skull and co grips I got it all on aliexpress for less than the price of one genuine kf set I do think they should label them fake or whatever cuz thinking you are getting real ones then you get a fake would suck

So if you know that they are not original then you know what you are getting. The issue here in UK is we are paying around £10 for something that’s a fake and sold as originals.

@@thephototechy yeah that's no bueno wish they would just be honest but they already are sketchy knockoffs so they probably think they will sell more if people think they are real sucks for those thinking they are saving money on a real product I personally can easily tell if they are fake because the cardboard they use for the packaging is very thin and flimsy the real ones feel completely different but that's long after I pay for them

I like the vortex/inferno. They're my preferred ones

Yo i just realize the gamesir g7 se uses two different modules on their controllers, the old one uses the black module with the black stem and the newest one uses the red module with the clear stem. I just checked game sir website and it shows the red one they use for the gamesir g7 se version. it took me until a reddit post called "Difference in Gamesir G7 Se HE Modules?" to notice this

Hey I’ve seen some pictures of the jh16 with Gamesir logo. Mine has the normal black jh16 modules, not sure when the change happened but I believe the internals should be the same. I still want to try the new ones and see if there a difference, my local Argos has them in stick but not sure if they’ll be gamesir ones.

Hey yes I have them, personally they lack the grip for me but if you are ok with their stick modules on their controller then they are an amazing option too.

Hey try local currys and ask them to check their cabinets. If you show them the product they’ll know. I’ve bought a good few like this, for whatever reason they are not on display. They sold infernos to me for £8 and from currys they are 100% the originals.

Ahh... I have the skull & Co., and they are great. It's nice installing them and not having to worry about damaging your controller thumb caps while doing so since these are of a hard like rubber. They are also very light and will not have a contributable effect on spring tension wear. Edit: I forgot to mention I use these on my Gamesir G7 se.

The difference in inferno isn’t fakes, theres two different versions. One pack that comes with one high and one low. And one that comes with 2 high. They’re little different

Hey man I know made a couple of community posts on it. Panicked for a bit tbh but the capability of 1000hz is still there, video dropping today hopefully.

Ironically, the fake has the correct spelling of meilleure on the package while the one you say is real has the wrong spelling.

Now I know why I disliked the inferno I got it's apparently fake.

@@christianz.9828 hey the fake seems to be from third party sellers on Amazon. If you purchased from Amazon itself or from Kontrolfreek Amazon store then you should be fine. Amazon UK is not selling them and Kontrolfreek don’t have an Amazon storefront on Amazon uk.
