Yup, they have gotten better over time. That being said, they have earned their reputation to some extent. In really like the GX CS2, been running mine a lot these days. Thank you for your comment!

That’s an impressive setup for your compressor. There might be a market for some of that.

i was thinking the same thing you said when you was threading in the pressure relief screw. lol. and yes. they are all running down the line together. and go out to people who ordered them to put their own label on them. im getting ready to build me a setup like yours. waiting on parts. ill be videoing my build.

Thanks for the shout out! The Yong Heng May not be the best but it will do the job if you take care of it.

Mine just went out after 3yrs , I thought about buying another Yong Heng but the water and oil changes got kind of old...So I just bought a Hill 3000 hopefully that should last twice as long .

Lol that cover cracks me up . But it’s a good thing , and that setup is bad ass the one I’ve got is just like I got it all but a new filter and I’ve kelp it running for two and a half years just keep the oil changed and good cold water running through it and I don’t fill big bottles just my guns that was a great video gave you a sub be safe man

I am also a "cover it" guy. Also have a small horse and dog farm so I understand DUST issues. :)

6 years ago I bought a YH auto shut off and a clone. The YH I pulled off the rank cover, it looked good inside. Filled with oil and used it until last week. When a burst disc popped, the supplied replace disc where to big, so cut to fit and it's working agian, The disc popped because I didn't even check the inline filter for at least 3 years. The foam filter was very hard and wet. so my fault. The clone, pulled off the cover (crank) 2 1/2 tablespoon of oil soak metal shavings. no BS ,,,, a small handfull of crap. next most the fitting were loose. Pulled the head off. The o ring on the 2nd stage piston seal was broken. last I saw it was 3 yrs later and still working. that one went to a guy that owned 4 YH's which were all nonworking. I'[am sure all those where 2$ fix's

I am, probably 4X the flow rate of what came with it. Check out the rest of the Yong Heng Hot Rod Shop series for even MORE info!

I've had mine 2 yrs replaced 3 pistons because eventually the top of the piston caves in and I've replace the high pressure rings around 6 or 7 times the switch went out had to bypass it. The temp gauge was the first to go, but it's still working knock on wood .bought another and a tuxing.

Welcome John! Was it a "clone" or a branded Young Heng? Do you have the ability to measure the thickness of the top surface of the piston within .005"? I'd love to know for an upcoming episode.

It was branded a yong heng but it looked like the piston you took out but the last one I replaced was barely cracked almost didnt see it.It had compression in crack case so I knew it was .but i think I have all the cracked ones still.

If you'd like you can send one of the failed units to me to measure, would be good data. I've thrown around the idea of making a piston from a 7000 series heat treated Aluminum but it has never gotten much interest. Might still be a neat idea...

Gets some Heat shrink - Good as new for that cap! Can i ask when you attach the hose is their a small with washer with a hole that fits inbetween the compressor female connection hole and the the male output hose?

Have you seen the yong heng portable water and oil less compressor curious if it’s like the other shoe box style

So whats with the air max pistol? Did they get bought out by Diana? Because thats a diana chaser now.

Ok, so I'm going to leak some insider info here. Might cost me some cred with the manufacturers in the Airgun space and I'm alright with that. That pistol is actually made by a chinese company called Snowpeak. Snowpeak will make low cost items and stick anybody's logo on them, that's what they do. Snowpeak would not stand a chance marketing under that name in western markets, so they build low end stuff and and brands like Diana pay them to build a "Diana" version. If you think for one second you are getting German design, or German manufacturing prowess, you would be hoodwinked. You can tell which Diana products are ACTUALLY German by the price. It breaks my heart to see such a stoic brand put their name on low cost Asian products of dubious quality.

Dude that frame is awesome!! Did you make it? And with the water tank built in? What a great setup!

I did build the frame. The tank is a 2.5 gallon aluminum dragster fuel tank!

Great info. is there a way, or even should I... take the slop out of the bleed scews ?

I have given this a fair bit of thought. On my unit, the thread engagement seems to get better the closer the valve is to closing. Possibly indicating a taper to the threads? Mine has been fine all this time. The other side of that argument is, when closed it is holding 4500psi. Assuming you have the skills to remake that bushing and replicate the sealing surfaces, go for it, would make a nice improvement.

I have two questions, I would be happy if you answer them. 1) iso 100 mannol oil used, you think the best or bad? 2) Is yod water from underground or mountain water recommended? Is it okay if I mix 1 liter of red antifreeze into 15 liters of water? Or should I boil water?

@@kricketkricket6737 I would use an oil actually intended for high pressure compressors. I'm pretty sure that oil does not meet the needs of a compressor that reaches 4500psi. Ground water has mineral content, distilled water is better. Why use antifreeze? Unless you leave the pump wet all the time I don't recommend it. What is the purpose of boiling the water? I have stopped using the Yong Heng in favor of the CS4-I, the oil I used in my Yong Heng is SECO Lube 500, it is actually meant for high pressure compressors but can be tough to get.

@@TargetForge red antifreeze Yongheng head is not caused by limescale or corrosion. How do you think dear? When I boil the water, the minerals sink to the bottom and become dead water. finally i get distille

@@kricketkricket6737 I am having a difficult time understanding what you are saying. Boiling water does not create distilled water. I have no doubt that you see precipitation when boiling water, to think you are "distilling" it is incorrect. Honestly I don't think it matters much as the temperature range is nowhere near as severe as the average automotive cooling system.

Shouldn't the filter tube not be vertical for it to work the best?

Not according to Joe Brancato "The Airgun Scientist". Here is his video on the topic. I ran it horizontal for over 3 years with no issues, but the shear volume of "do righters" that beat me with the Joe Hammer I figured I'd change it so we could focus on the ole Yong Heng. @@FlexDRG My apologies. The double negative must have thrown me off. I am indeed vertical now! Having re-watched his video again, I think I will cycle the media in that filter more often too. I use a cotton pre filter too, but I suspect I should cycle those beads more often. I can use the powder coat oven to dry them easily, so no excuses.

Any idea of the capacitor rating numbers? I need to replace mine ✌🏼

What compressor are you having trouble with? I have a new way on my website that allows you to book time with me. It's meant for GX units but I can probably help you diagnose most others as well.

I change oil every 4 fills royal purple 4.5 years of service not a problem just inspected my bottle no stains inside clean and shinny. 2 to 3 times a month on average With a 74 cubic foot bottle Top off pressure at 4200 PSI.

Why are you yelling?

I purchased a vevor branded version of this and figured if need be I could order replacement parts from one of the other “manufacturers”. After about 6 hours of run time the top piston ring of the 2nd stage left the chat. I ordered a myriad of peoples replacement parts and found that the vevor brand had a smaller diameter 2nd stage and 2 piston rings instead of 4. I filed the other brands piston ring to fit both in diameter and thickness and was back in business. I may order the other brands cylinder head as it appears to be a better design in general.
