Yoke Carry, Overhead Log Lift Medley - Strongman Event 5 Live Stream | 2022 Rogue Invitational
Спорт
Complete stream of Event 5 from the Strongman competition at the 2022 Rogue Invitational in Round Rock, Texas. The Yoke Carry + Overhead Log Lift Medley was a returning event from last year’s Invitational, and challenged the athletes to complete two challenges measured for time (with a 2:30 cap):
First Up: a 50-foot Yoke Carry at 1,000 LBS
Next: Complete 3 Overhead Lifts of a 360LB Log
Fans made their predictions, but this one did not go as most would have anticipated. While overall leaders Novikov, Mitchell, and Licis held their ground, the event proved to be a showcase for some of the other men in the field, including Bobby Thompson and the Canadians Maxime Boudreault and Mitchell Hooper.

Absolutely but unfortunately in WSM if he were to win some people will find ways to discredit his win
I feel like Licis got away with a more lenient judging compared to the others. The fact that Licis's rep was considered good and Trey's wasn't didn't feel fair at all. And Licis already got away with a really iffy lift without proper lockout during the circus dumbell press.

Novi‘s victory over Trey was 1,5 points. This decision cost him 1 point. With thousands of dollars on the line, judging should be way more consistent.

Probably the greatest Yoke runner on earth right now. He makes that 1,000 lbs look like he has an empty barbell on his shoulders. I think he got up to about 6 mph?
"Soft lockout" so in other words, didn't lock it out 😂
absolute monster showing from hooper
I usually like max events and find timed moving events more boring but performances like Kieliskowski and Hooper make these a lot more interesting for me.
Wow. What an event.
Love being able to see everything. Wish it was possible with WSM as well. Sucks when the TV people decide to just skip the deadlift or yoke. Give you a 10 second summary instead...
For anyone that wondering, its the sub par commentator that made us think the first rep counted. Listen to the other guy he actually following the action
Sneezed for a moment and lost Hoopers attemot, the man Flew!
Brave bon courage 💪
Trey got robbed on that last rep. As for Cooper, this might be the most dominant victory I've ever seen in a Strongman event.

He had to wait. Can't just press it up and come back down in the same 1/10th of a second. Have to pause and wait for down signal.....
Pavlo is so powerful, but unfortunately his technique is really poor, I really hope that he doesn't go back to powerlifting because he has potential
Am I the only one that thinks the yoke was unfair? The height for some contestants was hardly even off the ground like with Mitchell, but with Rob it was a good foot off the ground which is a big advantage in how much teetering it can do

Hooper running down the track with effectively a little more than the weight of two sport bikes on his back. Canadians rule the Super Yokes & OHP / reps.

@Андрій Ковальчук Thor is famous largely because of Game of Thrones. Oleksii Martins and Tom have all won WSM and none are that famous outside of strongman. I'd also argue that Strongman and Crossfit are equally undefinable as specific sports since neither have the same events comp to comp
