HGT: EP 27 - Rogue Manta Ray - Is it worth the price tag??
I just recently purchased the ROGUE Manta Ray adjustable bench with the optional foot catch for decline bench and decline sit ups.
First things first - this thing is a BEAST. Weighing in at a whopping 140lbs, this is the sturdiest bench I have ever used.
Second - the grip. This grip will help keep your shoulder blades locked in for bench, or any other exercise for that matter. No more sliding around.
Third - it is wide. With a straight 12 inch wide bench platform it takes all the wabble out of your setup.
It all just comes down to the price. At a little over $1,300 shipped to your door, can you justify this bench over a $250 amazon bench, or a $599 REP Fitness adjustable bench?
You decide!!

Great video. The more I research this bench the more I want one.

Thank you! It really is just a beast of a bench. If you have enough room to move it around it is well worth the money
I have been wondering about this newer bench and appreciate your review. It is really nice to watch a review by someone who actually lifts and uses the equipment day in and day out. Not to bash but most reviews are by affiliates who are new to the game and talk specs and color but not how it works in actual usage and function. Thank you!

Thank you very much for that feedback! I like to look at the usability of these products for the everyday gym goer. I figure if it works for me it will work for others and vice versa. It really is a solid bench, but it is a monster. Big, heavy, and a little tough to maneuver in a small space. Love the stability though.
I got the same bench in the same colors. Love it. And it’s worth every penny

Agreed. Very bulky in comparison to my other bench, but worth it for the stability!
Any issues with the hinge between the back & seat pads? In your video, it looks like it's not recessed enough, meaning the pads might compress to the point that your butt could hit the hinge. Rogue doesn't seem to show any clear photos on their site of how deeply that hinge is recessed.

I have not. I will be sure to highlight that in a future video. It seems pretty tight actually. The gap isn’t big enough to be an issue for me, at least not yet.

No issues yet, the gap isn’t big enough to affect my workouts. I will try to highlight that in a future video.
