    Mateusz was 6.5 points from winning. He placed 8th and 6th on the deadlift and stones respectively. getting to the point where he can place top 3 in those events would make him unstoppable.

    He talks a lot for someone who struggles to compete in the WSM finals. Not taking anything away from what he’s accomplished. He’s an incredible strength athlete. But he says that he and Eddie are rivals. I don’t believe he’s ever beat Eddie in a competition.

    8:15 I don't really understand why they aren't allowed to wear gloves for this one. Sure itll help the grip, but they can just increase the weight. Seems silly to have them ripping their hands up in the first event. At the very least this should be last.

  • @gabrielpichorim8191

    @gabrielpichorim8191

    Gloves wouldn't help in farmers/frame, this is not only about grip strength but also how to grip the handles, the technique twists the skin of your hand to get more surface on the handle to apply the force. If you don't have farmers to try it, give it a try on a heavy overhand deadlift and you will only feel the gloves slipping from your hands, its not the same thing but you will get a good feel for why it wouldn't help

    People talk crap that Thor protested. From watching it, I don’t think Shaw even saw it, but must have to be the one to put in an official protest. It appeared that Sebastian seemed to be the instigator two years in a row. To be fair I watch a competition that Shaw had talked to a judge about him suspecting Novikov of cheating. Crap happens in the heat of the moment, and from watching too many hours of these competition videos and behind the scenes videos, I don’t think it’s in Thor’s nature to have protested if not advised to by Sebastian. Could be way off, but that’s how it looked.
