Really bad host and the background music needs to be turned off

Do they not understand the entertainment in watching a contest is in knowing placings after events? All we're seeing is guys going at it with no board to see rankings. Where is the excitement in watching a race if you don't know who's ahead or behind.

Yeah the presenter really doesn't have the voice or the experience (in strongman) for this job. Not hating though, he tried his best. And he still did a decent job. Plus he had no one with him which would make it even harder. You really need two presenters for a show like this in my opinion! So I think Big Loz and Eddie will be the dream set up. Can't wait to watch it live.

You guys should re post this with stats weights timers and leaderboards all shown to hype up this year's show

I know I'm late to the game, but came here after Loz's video highlighting Kieliszkowski's performance, amd this commentator was what I imagine a Saturday Live Skit making fun of WSM commentary would sound like!

The background music was there to distract from the commentary.

The announcer is awful, bad sleepy music, annoying camera man keep getting close to the mic guy without ever showing the sides, fans. It's big waste of strongmen time and effort, I hope next year they bring better announcer not speech giver, also those who suppose to help in car pulling the robe need to keep some slack ,matias suffered because of them... The announcer lack history knowledge of the competition, and may be some one who have normal hair cut not hideous, one last thing name Wus !! Really ? Who wanna be the strongest wus in the world lol

Come on guys, some graphics would be nice!!! Especially in the pulling events, how the hell are we supposed to know the times. Makes rooting for a winner impossible! 😠

2018-2020 Thor was the strongest man in the world

Surprised Shaw beat Thor on the stones. Even more surprised Thor didn't manage the last stone. I guess he knew he won.

Yes, he has done it several times. Even when he won 2018 WSM, he was not bothered about the final stone knowing that he already won. He won 2019 ESM with only 3 stones. Didn't even have to load the 4th stone. He is playing smart, retaining energy and not risking for injuries. But when he does all stones, he breaks WRs. For example: 2014 ESM, 2014 WSM, 2016 ESM, 2016 WSM, 2017 ESM to name a few.

These guys are probably the only dudes apart from Mike Tyson that could have 'WUS' on their T-shirts and not get ripped on.

A light truck pull, a very tough arm over arm, a pretty heavy pressing medley, silver dollar deadlift max, a 1280# super yoke, capped off with a 225kg final atlas stone in the Dubai heat. In one day. Some incredible performances if you can get past some of audio.

I have watched this event five times I'm actually watching it right now for the 6th time and I am so bothered and annoyed by the announcer that I decided to get on the internet and leave a comment which is not something that I usually do but I really hope they replace that poor excuse for an announcer. Like somebody's rejected hype man. I hope they use somebody better next time my suggestion would be Bill Kazmaier

Thank you! I cant help myself but thinking this whole Event is kinda better than WSM. I mean, I dont care for the side events like the monks and stuff. But the strongman Events were just cruel and so it has to be. At the WSM I miss the stream, I miss a way to watch it. Thats just really sad. I am looking forward to 2019 WUS and WSM and Arnold Classic. The Big three beside Europes Strongest Man

Worst TV host , no stats on the screen, only a handful number of spectators, this was clearly some sponsored failed promo event paid by Arabs

Well all the strongman said they were treated better their then any other place in the world they competed...

The production was bad. The stage was really lame looking and there was people hanging around the background. Just weird

I've seen this guy commentating on sporting events in the UK. He's actually British so how could he possibly say "comes all the way from Scotland, England", how can any British person make that mistake.

The background music and the host were driving me friggin insane but other then that it was good to see this stacked line up..i have a headache now from banging drums and guitars..are we at a rock n roll concert or a strongman contest?

Big Z is the strongest ever not only for the 4 WSM wins but 8 Arnold's with 6 in a row and been on top of the sport for 20+ years

I will say this is my favourite set up for the silver dollar deadlift as it looks sick and still allows for a proper range of motion to be shown unlike with the boxes

It takes a lot to have to constantly keep the crowd engaged as an MC. give him some credit for doing it unscripted. I'm sure many of the complainers couldn't do 2 mins. And yes he has each strongman's stats in front of him, so he will repeat stats. Again he's going unscripted and has no one to bounce off of.

I have done an 11 hour non stop commentry way better than this guy. I'm sure every MC can do more than 2 minutes.

such an annoying comp that could have been fantastic ...feels like a bunch of pissed up fans cheering this on in a nightclub

Looking forward to next year

WUS should put out an edited version with graphics, and edit out unnecessary commentary. Release a new version of 2018 & 2019 and start building some promotion for this years event. They put on a good show, first class athlete accommodations and compensation. A few issues with the stage but Arnold has had stage issues in the past as well.

Priceless moment 1:12:30 when Uncle Loz asks for some crowd motivation.

To people who don't lift 520kg is just a number and the bar with a box on each end doesn't look that heavy but to those who lift in the gym, which would be most people watching this event 510kg, even on a knee height level bar is an inconceivable amount to deadlift, most casual male gymgoers max out near 200kg incl myself so it's more than twice what we can lift off the ground in conventional deadlift. Insane strength!

Great event. Look fwd to more.

I'm only a few minutes in and this commentator is horrible, wow. That is really, really bad commentating.

I have to admit Dubai looks like the new world strongest man they have a amazing set up and from what all the strongman said they treat them better there than anywhere else they have ever competed..Definitely the worst host in the history of any sporting event. That guy should not have a microphone in his hand for the rest of his life. He must be a bosses son or something

Its all about the money. If that would be poor, nobody would come. WUS looks in some kind Arnold 2.0. Very very heavy weights. Pulling the truck was obviously too much for everbody.

Events were great, but the host and the 2 track music was awefull and a really pain. Also the lack of showing number of weights, time and actual highscores. And why the fuck they are polished atlas stones? lol :D :D :D

This competition is going to take over the worlds strongest man. Even Brian Shaw has said so to some degree. Just a shame about the very poor dialogue of this video and cutting in and out. Poor quality video.

That was horrific! Constant back ground music that was too loud. Very poor commentary too! Stopped watching very early on in the video. Utterly crap!

commentating is a skill not a right. dont roll him out again please its bad enough listening to him on giants live events without his wall to wall not stop waffle all the way through what should be a flagship show. he had had enough chances to improve.

I'm just in the intros and as much as I want to I can't watch this horrible production any more. Just an embarrasment for the organizers.
