@Fouren nah I don't think so. In order to be at the top level, Eddie had to increase his body weigh so much so that it's unhealthy. I don't think he's going back. I think the record will be broken by either Luke Stoltman, Iron Biby or Mateusz.

Absolutely no one can take anything away from Eddie Hall. 507lbs damn near for a strict rep with a hip tear & a significantly damaged ankle. He is among the 3 strongest men EVER if not the strongest.

​@@seraph9942Not statically, Eddie would never say that as it wouldn't be true. Eddie at his peak comfortably beat Brian statically although Brian is certainly the better overall strongman no doubt.

I'd reckon Bibby could have pulled 230 this year (2021) since he did 229 pretty easy

Eddie is a beast, so much static power, he can achieved 230kg, come on, look how close he is in his second attempt, another strongman just fail when lift for second time that big weigth. Is so sad he compete no more. Amazing athlete, very, very strong. Make me sad all the argument bitween Thor and Eddie, like both and they rivalry is one of the best things happen in Strongman.

I don't care what anybody says, I'm an American so I cannot be bias speaking of a British man and I would have to say watching Eddie lift things above his head, he has the strongest shoulders of them all. I think Eddie was tired and just never gave it another chance down the road. Eddie has a better ceiling than them all, but he is on to other things now!!!

Eddie was so close on the 2nd attempt. If it wasn't for the ankle injury, he would have done the lift. Strongman should have given him another shot at it after he had recovered. But no it had to be done in a competition setting only...But Thor got the ok for the 501 dead in his garage. 🙄

Eddie also had an ankle injury. You try lifting overhead with a bad injury. If Eddie didn't have the injury, he would have done the lift.

Eddie said he rang them up and said could i try again im feeling better etc and they said no to him wait till the next competition etc. If they had said yes he would have still done it in comepetition maybe sooner unlike thor doing it in his gym. U dont train all ur lives to compete in your fucking gym. All u thor dick riders dont know shit about the sport and you dont know the bad blood between eddie and thor and how eddie knows thor closely. Yall just watch what you see on youtube and your forgetting how strong eddie used to be alot stronger then thor just look up his lifts compared to thor. @@fsormanib1 wrong eddie actually holds the silver dollar deadlift wr @535kg that he did out of comp in a bookstore, shown by adam bishop in his lastest video saying that he intends to break. the point about eddies log comment is he was willing to do the log out of comp and class it as another wr. youre also wrong about big z he said in his interview with mark boyd the wus ceo and founder "only competition records can be broken in competition so it can be called a world record but just not a competition world record but it can be a wus competition world record if they want to call it that" he then talks about guiness book of world records that most of them are not done in competition but still classed as world records. so regardless if its a competition record or not thors attempt IS an official world record
