You can't owe on revenue sharing. Even if your revenue is 50 cents sharing that would be 25 cents. You are thinking of profits sharing which is why they aren't asking for that. They want a cut of the money coming in only and ignoring the loss (which would be greater) and letting the NBA deal with the loss. It's hilarious honestly, they will destroy their own league by being selfish (well cost the NBA a lot more money).

Instead of these spoiled brats getting down on their knees and thanking the NBA charity for funding this disaster of a league, they have the nerve to demand a raise for a failed product. The gall to demand to be paid more in a league that LOSES over $10 million annually never ceases to confound me. These ladies must all have majored in Social Justice Warriorism or Women’s Studies, because it’s clear NONE of them took any math classes. I hope the league collapses and folds so these knuckleheads have to actually make a living actually providing value to a Company. Then they’ll get a lesson in how salaries are supposed to work.

Hell, NBA players didn't make much until they started averaging around 18,000 fans a game. I'm near 50 yrs old so i was around when the league first began and i can say they put more effort into promotion when the league first started than they do now. The women back then weren't so entitled as the women today. They understood that to make people come and watch them, they had to make their league as popular as possible. Dawn Staley, Lisa Leslie, Shery Swoops and the like were presented as cool and hip. They had cameos in popular music videos and TV shows at the time, had cool commercials and embraced American patriotism in the Olympics. They put in the work and I'll bet the league's viewership was higher in their first few years than it's been the last 10. Today's WNBA doesn't promote itself well. In the era of social media, why aren't their players more visible with cool tik toks or Instagram pages? That's their fault. WNBA player today comes off as smug, delusiona, entitled l and unpleasant and last but not least is the impression that they're a lesbian sports league. That's just the truth. No one wants to see hard face broads running, sweating, jumping and grunting. Femininity is a factor in the coolness appeal. This league is a lost cost and it's mostly their own fault.

Women make up well over 50% of the consumer market as well as dramatically more than half of domestic spending (last number I read years ago was in the 68-74% range). This means the WNBA has a simple math issue in that not enough women are interested in the WNBA. I think Shaq had a great idea of just slightly lowering the rim. You’ll find a consistency in the most popular female sports like MMA, tennis etc in that the game feels the closest to their male counterparts. The sports that showcase the largest drop-off, such as basketball, aren’t as popular.

The high school where I live can squish the wnba Champs. If you don't pull in the $, your out. Look this is business, if you can't bring the receipts, your out. Nobody likes watching almost every woman's pro sports, maybe tennis, but woman's basketball, my God it's so boring. Nobody watches, especially when they try to be like men, fighting, they are such a joke. The only problem is they think that their all that, but their not.. The NBA should cut their losses. Maybe they can be NBA cheer leaders.

This is a simple accounting problem. There are fixed costs and variable costs for any business. A big business that has plenty of revenue can “easily” cover its fixed costs and offer a revenue share program. A small business with fewer sales that is struggling to cover fixed costs cannot afford to share any revenue. These players just don’t know anything about operating leverage or else they would not be asking their business to do things that are not financially possible.

I think you make a great point the fact that giving them what they want would bankrupt the league and I think that that is actually a great Wait for the world to be done with the WNBA and for the owners to get out of their obligations. I really think you hit the nail on the head. Give these women what they’re asking for and then just let the league go bankrupt. That way the owners can save face and they don’t have to claim that they’re closing the league on purpose they can just say they have to because they run out of money And we can be finally through with this far cycle existence. I remember when the WNBA first came out and it was actually somewhat cool. I like Chamique holdsclaw back in the day. The OG WNBA stars were pretty cool characters. That don’t mean I watched their games though. At the end of the day there’s only so much time to consume sports. There is so much male sports, which is the elite pinnacle of athleticism that I want to watch and I don’t have time for female sports unless it’s the Olympics. That is just a fact for most people. And the worst thing is that women don’t watch the WNBA. Feminists who claim that there should be equal pay in this circumstance are not tuning in themselves, and that’s all that needs to be said about it.
