This happens in right leaning corporate press too. It’s better to find specific journalists, writers, public intellectuals, podcasters, KZread channel hosts, etc etc on both sides that you feel honestly represent themselves. It’s easier to judge the honesty of a single individual than a network.

It would have been better if instead of simply not apologizing had said something like "I'm sorry you can't handle the truth". That would have been just epic. 700th place is pretty generous anyway. The US olympic women's soccer team was beaten by a team of 15 year old boys. That would imply that the number of men better than the top women in anything athletic probably isn't a number in the hundreds, it's a number in the MILLIONS.

Well, if he just randomly started comparing Serena with males, it would be inappropriate because it's entirely unflattering and there is no reason to do it. However, they forced him to say his opinion on the topic. They tightened a noose around his neck and told him to jump. Him being older dude, he was completely unaware that he was dealing with vicious journalism and took the bait. They used him to produce "scandal" for views not caring in the slightest that people will want to cancel him for that. I wouldn't be surprised that they used Serena as well and that she wasn't given the full context before she replied probably thinking he was just being mean to her for no reason.

A couple of things, first of all what language is this? I understood McEnroe and the interviewers but the poster is speaking way too fast and I've never heard anybody axe a question. Second, Margaret Court is irrefutably the greatest tennis player of all time. 24 single titles, 19 double titles and 21 mixed doubles titles, total 64 grand slam titles. In some slams she won the singles, doubles and mixed doubles at the same event. Why is Serena Williams even in the same conversation.

She won the Australian "Championships," not open because they didn't invite ANYONE who wasn't Australian to play! That's how silly this is. Not the same as Graff or Williams having OPEN fields of 132 with people from all around the world. In fact 13 of her titles are from the open period at all, a clear line of demarcation...then add the Australian Open...which was a joke at that point, she's not even CLOSE to one of the greats. Serena herself said on a late night TV show she couldn’t compete with the men when asked to play Andy Murray in a demonstration match, because she would probably lose 6-0,6-0 in about 20 minutes, and would be very embarrassed. She also lost in straight sets to some male pro ranked around 320, losing in straight sets. I wasn’t a big fan of McEnroe and his behavior when he was a pro, but I appreciate his honesty and candor now.

Had a conversation with a D1 track athlete. She didn’t know I ran track, and still do competitively. I turn 50 next year. She runs 11.1. She was going on about men and women being equal. So, I met her at the track one day. I told her I only train for the 100m while training my two kids. At 49 years old, I beat her in the 100 in front of her coach. I then walked to my bag and pulled out my clippings from 1983, when I was 11 years old. I showed her the times she is running now is the times I ran at 11 years old nearly 35 years ago, and please don’t say men and women are equal when it comes to sports. We are equal in mind only in the workplace, not in athletics. Don’t get confused. If you can’t beat a 49 year old dude who only trains three times a week, how the hell could you beat a 21 year old, athletically prime,l man??? Stop it!!!

I (male) ran 11.1 at 15 years old. I did not train for this, I was just training to become a semi-professional footballplayer (tbc: soccer). I was ... let me take some time to calculate ... 5 ft 7 in and 183 lbs (so on the short and heavier side, but very muscular) an did not train even once. Just went there, had probably a late start and got a very fast time. The time would have qualified me for the national championship (in fact the winner of that championship ran 10.78 in the final, if I remember right). I'm sure in the US I would've been scouted by some track&field or even football coach, in Germany just no one at my school cared. Only my PE teacher told me he was surprised that I was that fast, but never made clear that it was at top of the country and that I could maybe become professional, if I would start training. It's kind of sad how many potential athletes are never "scouted"

There's inherent pros and cons to being a man and a woman and our pros are supposed to complement one another. We are equal in rights and opportunities now (in western society at least) but that doesn't mean we are equal in our physical biology / our instinctual hardwiring. Equal means the same. Though we share many similar traits, men and women are also vastly different as nature intended.

@Ma Khi Sure, but you're referring to more specific traits that can vary and be molded more person to person depending on their upbringing, environment, social experiences (personality, values, ect.). I'm referring to general consensus primitive biology. There's always exceptions to the rule, but typically the man is physically stronger than the woman and has a natural inclination to provide and protect for her and any offspring they have. This is a complement to the woman that she wouldn't have independently. The woman on the other hand typically is more nurturing and provides motivation for the man whether directly and/or indirectly with her feminine energy. The personality, appearance and values determine relationship compatibility but certain qualities based on gender alone are typically universal.

Aslong as you tell the truth & state the actual facts no matter what anybody says they can't argue with that. They back themselves into a corner knowing they are wrong & in private will think that. Well done John for telling the truth & the facts. Most of us decent people were brought up to be honest & tell the truth but this new wave of virtue signalling nonsense is attempting to destroy that. Fortunately the majority of us aren't falling for it. Never apologies when you are correct & state the truth.

They were unrelenting in their support of the prevailing social engineering agenda which says that women are as good as men at doing anything. John was forced into a position where he had to be seen to offering some consolation to ' inferior' women tennis players to avoid accusations of misogyny and the abuse coming his way. First time here, so I don't know his name. In my thinking, one of the biggest challenges we have right now is communication. We suck. Pretty much all of us. We all would benefit from an education in respectful, effective communication. As the you tube guy said, we need to have these difficult conversations. Those conversations would have so much more potential if we had more skill in communication. Name calling is always counter productive, in my opinion. TRUTH!!! When I was in High School, I played on a .500 men's varsity basketball team. Our women's varsity basketball team was undefeated and defending State champs. They kept insisting they could beat us, and after repeatedly telling them there was no conceivable scenario in which that would ever happen, we finally gave in. The coaches reffed the game. Final score? 133-22!! Your right John, there's a big difference:)!

The girls wanted kickball, which none of the boys knew how to play, so we played them learning the rules as we went. The boys lost in the end. After that all the boys wanted a rematch, and for PE and recess we played kickball to better understand the game and get the skills. Eventually we had our rematch. I remember the score even today, 66-10 favor the boys. Good times.

As a woman I’m fed up with this never ending debate about women vs men. Women need to STOP competing with men, STOP belittling and degrading men, STOP demanding men apologise for their views and beliefs, STOP demanding men be less masculine while demanding women become more masculine. There’s an evil agenda for men and women to switch roles, to destroy our traditional roles and biological makeup, hence the traditional family unit.
