Hornets have him under contract for the next 2 seasons. New ownership and management with another top draft pick. Micic will be locked in to that backup guard role, could even fill in some of Terry Roziers ball handling role with LaMelo on the floor. LaMelo has been injury prone while in the NBA, so Micic will have a great opportunity to showcase his skills next season

I've enjoyed watching Micic get more opportunity in Charlotte, but as you mentioned, that could change with LaMelo coming back next year. To me, if Micic were to get traded this offseason, I think a team like the Spurs would make sense. They're also rebuilding and can offer a lot of playing time because they don't have another PG aside from Tre Jones. They also have Wemby and some defenders to cover for Micic's poor defense. Only reason the Spurs might not do this is the Spurs still have Blake Wesley who can play some backup PG and they will also have a high draft pick to take either Topic or one of the 2 Kentucky guards.

Hornets are bad and seem like they're in total tank mode, but Micic isn't really blowing anybody away. He could probably be a decent backup PG on a good team, but would he be willing to accept that role? It's not that MVPs can't make it in the NBA, it's that they're so successful in Europe that taking a bench role in the grindfest NBA doesn't seem appealing except for the money.

Even the money is likely be similar Like MVP level in EL should be around 2M While in NBA getting 5M+ is not that easy (except if you play for years already)

@@sherlock4791 its much more, efes now has like 60 milion budget for this season, and salaries in euroleague are neto amounts, like mirotic in barcelona 5 mil neto, 11 mill bruto

Don't overlook the comfort of living being home or near it. Bouncing around the US isn't what everybody wants. The NBA season is very long.

He should stay in the NBA. He's done it all in Europe. With the Hornets he's found a team where he can get minutes. Next season hell show the world who he really is. His rookie year was a transition year and he had to adjust to the culture and style of the NBA. Now with the Hornets he'll be able to show the world he's a solid player.

I would love to see Vas goes to Spurs...they need a good point guard and Pop love to coach international players.. HE will be a good fit to Pop system.. Vas and Wemby will be the one two punch of Spurs

NBA is about money. He should be there for some years. It's not about his quality or getting respect. Look at Sabonis... He is the MVP this season, and nobody care.

Sabonis is not the MVP, how is he better than Jokic? Also, Sabonis has been ignored because of his poor playoff performance. If he steps ip up this year he will be on the national radar again.

Micic should go to Spurs. He would be very good in this team.

The problem is his legacy. Take for example Spanoulis. No matter how great he was in Euroleague or how many awards he has won he will forever have that 2.7ppg in the NBA on his wikipedia page

nuggets should try to trade for him, I bet its make him and joker happy

He's done it all in EL and with these numbers he can get a nice contract in NBA. I don't see him back

Vasa will remain. Lamelo is great but his injury is serious and they will need Vasa

Charlotte is a young team that is tanking. Next season he will lose his minutes, but if I were him I would stay in the NBA as long as I can.
