Slou-cash is remembered for his game winning shots but not for his funny defences or turnovers that led to easy baskets in transition.Neither for his behavior to other players, the fact that Canaan is having a season like this is not random(Look at his reactions especially on Lessort). Lastly Slou-cash in olympiakos was a player that always felt the need to draw attention on him and hear what a good guard he is. There were games in the greek finals in the last years that when Olympiakos started winning by 10 points and he immediately stopped sharing the ball and trying to score just to get noticed and feel respected. They locker rooms and the team is more healthy without him... PS1: You are doing great job, thanks for coming in Greece and I hope you enjoy more games here. PS2: You are absolutely right about the hostility against him, There has been times in the past in which Mike James got the ball in his hands and the entire stadium is cursing(Game 1 and game 5 he was shooting 2-3 airballs per game),We just dont want to pay attention to him because of The Greek national team and because he does not deserve to get attention.Attentions is what feeds him. KEEP UP THE GREAT CONTENT!

So, it's not yet clear to you that he left because his relationship with bartzokas was turning ugly. Your black and white perception of the world is juvenile I would say. What if bartzokas wasn't that fair to him? If you were sloukas would you accept an inferior role to walkup? Turning Sloukas into a villain just because it's easier to hate him and love bartzokas is juvenile. You don't have a single clue of what happened behind closed doors and you are just assuming what you feel easier to digest.

@@rackhir100 Slou-cash wanted to play more that the team needed him,Olympiakos and coach Bartzokas decided he should come from the bench which was a great choice and coach ataman does the same.Dont forget that the medical staff of olympiakos said that in order for him not to get injured often like he has so far in Panathinaikos he must not play too much.Same thing with nigel -goss who gets unjured every time he plays 110%.He still is a good player but will never be the prime slou-cash of fener where he played also off-ball and didnt pretend the leader.Olympiakos is a team where team players thrive, leaders are the ones that fight for the jersey and the club not for money and recognition.

Whoever says sloukas wasnt important for us should stop watching the sport, he was immensely important and we could see it in most games. He didnt get attacked by the fans because when such a critical game is so tight, insulting him is not a priority, especially since he didn't really do anything in the game. Trust me if he ever hits a big shot or celebrates to much, then the fans are really going to care, because we really do hate him

From my experience, Sloukas will carry your team once every three games, he will be neutral once every three games and he will loose you one of three games. I’m not happy he left, but I am glad we were not the ones to sign him for 10 mil over 3 years, especially at his age

Guys sloukas was not the highlight of olympiakos team. Ever. In 2012 era spanoulis was the focal point. When he came back it was vezenkov and maybe walkup. Sloukas wanted to be the best player of the team but never was in this bartzokas system. Look at the last 2 year numbers. He was clutch in a couple games for us sure. But not the best player. If you listen to Greek talk radio you would hear many fans coming out and saying they did not want slukas for next year to begin with. because of how high his contract was and what he offered in return on the court. So yes an attempt was made from Oly to keep him for lesser money. The president was never interested in matching panathinaikos offer

my brothers it's difficult right now for Greek stadiums, after the policeman was killed they put cameras in the stadium and you give id and citizen code for your exact seat. for example, some aek fans were almost imprisoned for pyro outside the stadium(!!!). slou cash is the best double agent in history, imagine what kind of player they could sign with 3.3M a year instead of him. finally, yes the stadium sucks.

i agree that opponent teams haven't read Moses yet, so we expect opponents to adjust and restrict him. Also agree that Nunn is great player and he can score 20 games per game easily by creating his own shots etc. etc. but i wouldn't pick him over Moses in what he brings to the team. Remember what coach Ataman said after the win in Madrid, "We played Sloukas basketball" . Panathinaikos will not win Olympiakos with Nunn's iso playstyle. ISO game in every offence against tight defencive systems, will end up to more TO than Assists. So either Nunn will adjust and will be part of the team or Nunn will be a drawback for Panathinaikos

  • @Michalis_Sideratos

Nunn needs to hand over the ball carrying to Sloukas. He is the remedy and the poison for Pana. Sloukas is the best in controlling the rythm. Nunn is the best in scoring but needs to pass the ball sooner cause when Oly played drop Def. on him with Wright he ended up not knowing what to do with it, hence 7 TO.

The truth is that Sloukas was never that connected with the fans of Olympiakos. He was always considered an under-achiever because he never became the next Spanoulis/Papaloukas/Diamantides that Olympiakos and Greece needed (although it is an unfair standard to set, that was how he was viewed coming out of youth teams). Also, he had already left in the past for Fener. Olympiakos fans would have been 1000 times more heart-broken if a 39 year old Printezis had gone to Panathinaikos to sit on the bench.

  • @phils1884

Sloukas is a great player and one of the best play makers in Europe but not even close to the calibre of players like Spanoulis. He also never led the team to a Euroleague title although he was an important part of the previous years in the final 4. Thats why we dont really care about him leaving. The main playmaker of Olympiacos even when Sloukas was playing for us is Thomas Walkup not him. Get some insight instead of superficial comments. Also SEF is one of the most historical stadiums of Europe and for checking the atmosphere just check some videos of the playoffs with Monaco. Its ok to comment on stuff just research a bit more first.

For sloukas as a olympiacos fan it was not the best to go to pao as we think that in olympiakos he became what he is today as a player....from the other side he is getting 3mil a year at 34-35-36 years of age so probably i would do the same!so yes we got angry but from the other side not that angry because he is not worth 3mil per year at this age he is!

Panathinaikos has no front line . Juancho is horrible , Balcerowski has no experience and also playing really bad , Kostas is okay for a sub but also injured. With one addition in the center position there would be big advantage for PAO.

  • @TesseracTesseracT

I don't get why these guys have such bad comments. First and foremost they tell facts and they express their opinions. Did you remember the first game that Spanoulis played against PAO at OAKA? Fake €500 everywhere and a stadium like a true volcano screaming about him. Paspalj returned at SEF? Then try to compare with Sloukas return last October.” Holly” church. Not even some good songs about him or banners or coreo(check Partizan). Also SEF is the worst basketball arena in Europe because it was not built only for basketball. If someone has been in OAKA for the Greek derby then knows the experience and the boost. Last but not least let me say about this. Sloukas is a good player and one of the last Greeks of his generation. But the fact that he blamed coach Bartzokas about his decision (minutes per game or to be the special one compared with his teammates etc) is why I personally hate him so much. Now in PAO is the 3-4 option when in us was the decision maker about the last offensive plays. It is more honest to tell the truth about the money because at the end of the day it is his decision. We on the other hand must be more supportive and passionate about our organization and optimistic because we are a better TEAM.
