Great video man. Loved the bit about the subconscious mind.
This video was great lately I've been focusing on sleep as much as any basic fundamentals such as maintaining a healthy protein calorie full diet as well as avoiding the unhealthy food which bring unhealthy calories in body, as well as my training as a 16 year old teenager who's old school my coach has understood who really i am he gives the best for me as a teen it's very important to part your life in some kind of sport mine is mixed martial arts which keeps me going everyday i sleep and wake up with the mindset of training hard and then comes mindset reading/journaling and sometimes meditating which keeps mental health in check

@@craig2493 hey thanks g change is always hard the more i go to the next level the more people are sacrificed but i know I'm not here to be loved and I'm aware relationships are just for pleasure, these people will chase me when i am focused/ on another level in my life when i have my shit together, i reject degeneracy.
😀 thanks for the information , I am a student and I don't feel good/energetic without 8 hours of sleep . Many people , friends tell to sleep less and study more , but I was not much efficient in studies whenever I sleep less. You explained the importance of sleep 🥺 thanks a lot bro
Hi Jack, great video as always. Could you do a video about sleeping the same duration but at different timings? For example sleeping 10 hrs from 10pm at 6am versus 10 hrs from 4am to 2pm? How does that affect the brain? I've always wondered this and hope an expert like you could shed some light on this

very good quality content...... but I only have one comment, the cuts while you are speaking need to be more as you should remove the parts where you don't talk or take your breath. Even if, they're just a second or even half a second. This will improve the video way much more. And again the effort is amazing keep going.

Should you read online book or a real life book? Or does it even matter?
so how exactly does one sleep more without having to reach for sleep medication..? i'm an olympic level athlete and i've never been able to sleep for longer than 6 hours.. five and a half on average really... and even during those hours at night i always wake up once for water and bathroom so basically i sleep for around 3 hours, than wake up for 5-10 min than sleep again for another 3 hours.. i do catch myself having to take power naps during the day but at night it's simply impossible for me to sleep for any longer so i just figured that's the amount of sleep my body naturally needs.. am i actually at wrong here for believing that the amount of sleep required is individual to every person regardless of their level of activeness or could my night only 'insomnia' (if that's what it is) be caused by some of my other mental disorders..? (depression, anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, PTSD.. just to name the few..) also it's worth noting that as a kid and teen i did suffer from sleep disorders such as sleepwalking and night terrors on almost a nightly basis but i haven't had any episodes of those for about 7-8 years now...
How can ı talk to you ?

Funny I was just thinking about this myself. My question is if it takes the average person 7 mins to fall asleep and 45 mins to enter REM does the first 1hr even count? So on average I go to sleep at 10pm and wake at 4am. I know I don't get enough sleep, but thought I was getting about 6hr, but am I actually getting about 5??
@JackClose

The other phases of sleep are still important, not just REM. We cycle into and out of REM throughout the night.
