What does the interview question on salary have in common with James Bond?
Watch the video to find out! Here I outline a rather unusually named approach to answering awkward questions on salary expectations.

you're doing wonderful job by helping job seekers
i've taken a different approach to this and have always given the prospective employer a reasonable salary range if asked during an interview (after doing my own research about the local job market). I think for as long as your skills and experience match the role and your salary expectations are reasonable, you're bound to get the job. Love your channel by the way and I like your speaking skills - so engaging.

Hi, I recently came across your videos and found your content super helpful. On top of what you suggested, how do candidate ask for more when candidate finds out that the offered package is on the lower side of the range ie there’s a scope of earning more. Of course there are factors that decide the CTC but I’m sure there’s a polite way to ask and get what we want. Pls share some tips.

Hello Ma'am, This is a great video on salary discussion. Thanks for providing the detailed word-to-word conversation one can make with a recruiter. But there is an ATS system, that asks the salary expectation while filing the application form and it does not accept the text written info and it is mandatory to fill in. How can we avoid that?

This is what I have used, and until now it has given me the best offer. " I don't have any such numbers in my mind right now. However, I believe with the experience and domain knowledge I have, you will offer me the best possible offer according to the market."

@@komalgupta1162 Then go for the research method. If the offer is not as per your expectations then use the below line. " Thank you so much for the offer. I do appreciate all the efforts that have been put here. However, during my research, I have realized that the market value for the years of experience and domain knowledge I have we can have another look at the offer and a better number can be proposed. I propose that we take another look at the salary you offered me and the designation in order for you to take into account my designation, experience, skills and education. I look forward to developing a long-term relationship with the organization, and I am expecting a better designation and salary that is in harmony with my credentials and sufficient to meet my personal needs. Let us get together and reconsider your offer. I am confident that we can reach a figure that is satisfactory to both of us."
