I mean, there is only so much you can talk about anime wise. Even when two hardcore weebs meet up it isn't like there isn't a limit. Sure, with someone knowledgeable enough I could talk to someone about anime for 8 - 24 hours, and while that'd last days it still means eventually I'd run out of shit to talk about. There's only so much you can talk about Now and Then, Here and There (banger show by the way), or if you want to go even more into it directors, individual animators, or about the anime industry as a whole. Doesn't exactly make sense to talk about the banger working conditions of Kyoto Animation (Studio behind Kobeyashi's Dragon Maid, A Silent Voice, K-On, Violet Evergarden, etc.) dozens of times, nor does it make sense to constantly talk about the shittier work conditions of studios such as A-1 Pictures (Studio behind Sword Art Online, Fairy Tail, Kaguya-Sama, Darling in the FranXX, Magi, etc. etc. (I could keep going on this one, because they are the fast food of Anime studios just shittin out shows and sometimes the show slaps).

25:45 if you mistreat a chao as a good character (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles) they become bad and if you mistreat them with a bad character (Shadow, Eggman, Rouge) they become good. This is just one method to get them into this state and the more lazy one. The better method is to feed them dark or hero fruits, since this doesn't displease them and they also gain stats whereas the abused chaos won't gain much in power. This will take up much more time though, since each fruit costs 120 rings. Each fruit reduces the time for the chao to evolve by 3.5 minutes and the total time for a chao to evolve into it's first stage is about 3 hours.

What's even more insane is the amount of strange and weird chaos you can get and how hard it can be to get your hands on those if you aren't cheating, for example the prestine chaos chao needs to have lived two full lives before it's even possible to reach this stage. Your chao need to be really happy, it has to have played with each existing animal atleast once and it should have balanced Swim/Fly Speed/Power stats. Depending on how you raised your chao, reaching the end of their life will also take an assload of time. The game has 2 pointers: RemainingLifespan1 and RemainingLifespan 2 (RL1/RL2) but to keep it short: RL2 is the only relevant stat. It's currently unknown why RL1 exists. Whenever a Chao spawns it will have a RL2 value between 3000 and 4000 and if you feed a child chao a fruit it will add +5 points (about 2 more minutes of lifetime) per bite to the RL2 counter. During adulthood chaos will lose 6-7 RL2 points every few minutes. So assuming your chao spawned with about 4000 RL2 and you fed it often during childhood, you may look at a time of up to 29 hours of a single chao life. Evolving a chao during their life time does take of a few point of the RL2 counter but not too much to worry about.

I planned a trip to go see my dad in Japan, I’m half Japanese. I haven’t seen him in 4 years. However my trip was canceled because I got Covid. A week before my girlfriend, who was gonna go with me, who hasn’t met my Japanese side of my family was told that she could not enter the country because she needs a visa. So I won’t be able to go back for a lot longer. I’m sad now. Japan is weird and I love the country because that’s where I grew up.

IME Learning a language where natives are honored by your effort and excited to help you makes a huge difference. Being able to poorly speak a language knowing you’re not offending someone is such a nice quick way to learn a language. Works the same way the two beer method works and that study was published in the journal of psychopharmacology, so you know it’s good haha.

Ludwig introduced me to Connor through his first Toreba crane game stream, and then I became a huge fan of Connor's streams and content, and then through that I became a big fan of Trash Taste. And now after this amazing episode (Slime is MVP)... I want to see Trash Taste on the upcoming Mogul Money Live.

Learned of Connor from the animation man a couple years ago and it makes me truly happy to see him getting the exposure he actually deserves!

Double clutching is when you return to neutral before shifting to the intended gear so you’re in 1st gear shift to Neutral then to 2nd..also no one uses one foot for all three pedals. your left foot is always for the clutch

the best disciplinary tools I found for my kitty when she was a baby was - hissing they respond really well to it since that's how cats can communicate to other cats that are crossing the line -scruffing if you grab their skin on the top of their neck, most cats kinda freeze up. it's like instinctual since that's where there mom would pick them up with their mouth and that's the best way to really get them to stop doing something when they're bad. also scruffing with one hand and scooping em up with the other hands is the best way to not get cut or bit when picking them up

Haven't seen the comment yet, so might as well make it myself... I'm pretty sure the age of consent thing in Japan is pretty misleading, most prefectures have laws that basically increases the age of consent to 16-18... For example in Tokyo the effective age of consent is 18. In some ways it's similar to the US where each state decides the age of consent for their state, the age of consent being 13 is a national lower limit meaning the prefectures can't make it any lower than that.

Coming here from TrashTaste, you guys are so funny, had a blast listening to this pod, seeing you guys for the first time. Thanks to Ludwig for bringing Connor, really loved Slime’s chaotic energy.

Between me being amazed at Ludwig's risk taking with his 40k USD on some random tennis match > knowing that he WON that gamble > to now knowing that he 1) either got scammed out of 40k or 2) the guy actually made the bet and scammed Ludwig out of 108k... It's been quite a ride

It's great seeing Connor interacting with other creators, he gets along with everyone he collabs with.

As a Trash Taste fan coming new to this, I get why reddit was saying this podcast is way more unhinged. They literally went from capibara on turtles to cartels in the span of 2 minutes.

as one of the few females watching this podcast (which kinda baffles me) attractiveness definitely influences whether or not you watch a podcast, at least when you’re deciding whether or not to start watching it. if nick and aimen weren’t here i probably would have never been interested in watching the yard. slime really sealed the deal tho ofc

It’s dumb. Nothing to be ashamed of. Uncut is how we were all born, until some idiotic parents decide to circ their sons.

actually, on owls in cafes: While it is true that owls are nocturnal, I don't think it's that bad for them since birds rest differently from mamals. Since they could be attacked any time, birds only sleep for very short periods of time, basically power napping for a few minutes. Also noise doesn't bother them too much if it's not too extreme. After all they are used to sleeping in the forest during a day. If you've ever been in a forest you know it can be pretty loud. And they often "sleep" with their eyes open. Apparently while birds are resting, half their brain is sleeping while the other half is still active. So as long as they are high enough to comfortably look down at the people in the cafe, they'll probably just think "meh, humans. whatever." However it also depends on the individual owl. Some may not like being too close to humans, others are cool about it. I assume they only put owls in those cafes that are chill about humans they don't know. But I wouldn't want to eat there anyhow. No matter how much the staff cleans after them, there is no way this place doesn't stink. I wouldn't want to eat in the same place owls take a shit in.

I wanted to point out (also kinda interesting) about the camera shutter noise on phone: It doesn't just happen with Japanese phones, it happens with ANY phone that has a Japanese or Korean sim-card (for Android phones, at least). I lived in Korea for a few years and when I first got a sim-card, my shutter noise could not be turned off. When I would visit my family in the UK, I would put in a UK sim card, and the shutter noise would stop. Kinda interesting.

Definitely meant heel toe. Double clutching is also used in driving large trucks that also don't have transmission synchros

Hospitals still use fax machines to send orders and results. And I do confirm there will be ad faxes for something like a service or whatnot. We just ignore them as it doesn't happen often, but hospitals do get them.
