He's much more of a thinker while she jumps straight in with gut. He has said that it's his biggest problem with doing Reddit stories. Because he kind of needs to digest everything and then says something wise. He's very quick witted with comedy but I think for more genuine stuff he's more calculated. He can be present quickly if needed though as he was in the video where Olivia faced her fear of butterflies.

@@hernameispekka_Rebecca Yeah his points tend to be much more refined and well thought out, Amanda just sends it. Sometimes I completely disagree with her, sometimes she's right on. Shayne always re-frames things in an intellectual manner with a comedic twist, I enjoy his takes a lot.

I was in a peer counseling program in college (something I did primarily to learn communication skills; I had no desire to go into therapy and my majors were COMPLETELY different from everyone else in the program) and we were taught that it's not a counselor's job to offer advice; it's their job to ask the right questions to essentially get the client to come up with their own advice via their thought process. So it makes complete sense to me that Shayne's degree would lead him away from offering advice, because he was probably taught similarly!

I think it's also that her voice feels a bit unusual for a woman. There seems to be a bit of the warm rumble that we more often associate with male bass voices, like James Earl Jones. I genuinely belived that there was some form of post-processing on her voice, or that she was in a special sound booth, so I fully understand the "not entirely natural" interpretation. Seeing Nichole in smosh videos and running a whole series on Anthony’s channel makes so so freaking happy, she’s is such a gem and I’ve loved her content for so long!!! This video is everything!!!
I actually fell out of my chair watching the miscommunication about the Peter Griffin skin, I was laughing so hard
josh's peter bit had me laughing, angela's motherhood bit had me on the verge of tears, and immediately followed up by duran's bit with amanda's "are you hardened up on shayne?" (not verbatim) had me just completely laughably wrecked PLEASE
"you asked dating app advice from the person who hasn't used the internet since it was created" was hilarious 😂
I don't know if anyone else does this, but I always check who edited the video in the description everytime I watch a Smosh video so it's nice to finally put a face to the names
Duran rubbing Shayne’s back/shoulder is making me weirdly emotional

RE: Making friends as an adult, 100% agree with the community aspect. I recently moved to a new country and was really struggling with figuring this out (I'm in my 30s). I love tabletop games and figured I'd look at local shops. Found one that was hosting a trading card game event and decided I was gonna buy a starter deck and just take the leap and join. Nearly half a year later, these are my support system here (aside from my partner and her family). They all threw me a birthday party (pretty much the first one I've had since before COVID) and I'm really thankful to have them in my life. It's not easy as an introvert, but I'm truly thankful I did it.

Shayne completely blocking out Keith's wet a$$ fart is honestly so on point.

Amanda talking about confrontation is so relatable and resentment building is so true. Communication is key! This is such good advice.
I kind of hear the voice thing with Nicole. BUT I think it sounds cool as hell. Nicole, your voice is dope as hell. You be you!
“You are not a bad person for communicating hard things” This is great. I really needed to hear this as someone with overbearing narcissistic parents. When I voice my feelings and opinions I’m made to be the villain. But Amanda is so right. I’m not the bad person just because I’m communicating about difficult things.

Damn. I needed this reminder too. I was hella upset with mine yesterday and tried to explain why and set down boundaries but then somehow I became the bad guy and it’s been messing with my brain for 24 hours. Thanks for helping me snap out of it. I’m not the bad guy. My parents are just narcissistic psychopaths.

AW MARCUS GF 10 YEARS THATS SO SWEETTTT!!
Marcus, ask your doctor for a referral to an ENT, heavy snoring is typically a sign of sleep apnea and it tends to affect men as they get older, side sleeping can help, wedge pillows can help as well (don’t side sleep on a wedge pillow tho), they can also prescribe you with either cpap machines or oral medical devices to help alleviate sleep apnea if you have it but they can also help if the issue is not sleep apnea
