Shocked Aiden wasn't visited by the ghost of Christmas past during this episode

drake is using the line "Back to back like I'm Jordan '96, '97, whoa" to say hes not fucking done, the 98 champ is widely known as the last dance, and drakes still dropping so hes not at the last dance yet, hes gonna keep dropping, and his final shit is gonna be monumental. or it will be him getting absolutely bodied by the features like he did on his last 3 albums, essentially turning him into a slightly cooler dj khaled.

i really like how slime often doesn’t know anything about the guests, because i almost never do either so it gives me an intro to them
As someone who hasn’t known anything about most of the guests it’s kinda nice having slime there during those episodes (also in all episodes cause he’s funny af and the podcast wouldn’t be the same without him) :)
Aiden was so effortlessly cool this episode.
"he's like a fart sommelier" absolutely broke me, great episode
31:48 the sibling dynamics they show at this part is so funny. 2nd eldest (Ludwig) starts teasing middle child (Nick), eldest (Slime) joins in. Middle child calls out youngest (Aiden) who's snickering at him to divert attention. Middle child successfully does so in the end they all dunk on the youngest.
"You look like Ludwig's innocent inner child." I swear slime needs to do stand up. Dude is hilarious
lmaooo, the thumbnail literally jumpscared me
I feel like Slime has a more person/chemistry-centric role here that balances the discussion when a guest is on. People can have a picture of who a content creator is based on their content. Being able to go into the conversation without that picture seems really useful and has made Slime’s interactions with the guests really helpful in painting a more human picture that could be missed otherwise. No one should be mad at anything about that in my opinion, and if they are, I imagine it’s because the human picture can shatter someone’s idea of who this content creator is. People don’t like to be wrong, and learning something human about a person on a screen shows them that their initial perception was wrong. In short, it’s important to have the guy that doesn’t have context, and don’t get mad about something that bares no weight in your personal life

About the breaking bad moment, I have a similar experience with people who are absolute jackasses that turn into very nice people when they are in their domain. The one I remember the most was when we went to the swimming pool with our class and the most annoying shithead suddenly became super cool as, unbeknownst to us, he was an excellent swimmer part of a water-polo team. I guess acting like a jackass is done to hide a lack of confidence and once you put such people in an environment where they are confident, they drop the jackass act and show their true self.

I genuinely don’t think I have a favorite on the yard, everyone brings something unique to the pod and the dynamic just works really well Aiden - he just brings the good vibes and is like the live laugh track, he makes it so nothing is ever awkward and it’s basically impossible to not like him Slime - pushes the boundaries with his humor, no jokes are ever boring and I like the fact that his not afraid to call shit out, also I really like that he doesn’t know the guests since it seems like guests usually are very open and proud to talk about what they do and it’s probably refreshing to talk to someone who doesn’t know them Ludwig - he’s the reason why 99.9% know of the yard and why we watch, he’s overall just a likable guy and drives the pod to have content in a way that is digestible Nick - has some of the best banter/very quick with his jokes, is great at storytelling and he usually pushes forward the new topics to talk about

As per Slime not knowing guests - I think we've been spoiled on KZread by Chris Evans and Hot Ones because they do such incredible research. But what Aiden says is correct; Slime fits an angle of the laymen/everyman. There are times he shouldn't maybe approach every guest with a total vacancy; learning their names and stuff is probably the bare minimum for an interview. But your guests aren't there for a formal interview of any kind - it's a sit down and fuck around conversation.
