Hi everyone 👋 Thank you all for taking the time to join me for this. I try to respond to questions as much as I can. I've decided on the future reacts to be Stranger, Olimpico, Sinful Passion and Love is like a dream. I'll do them spread out over the next few months so this channel doesn't become a Dimash only channel as it's my job to analyse all types of singing. Thanks for your support and see you soon.

Since you think you have range down try Know vocalize New York and Unforgettable Day Gakku that should get you closer 🙂. Dimash is literally a gift to the world and music scholars have stated a voice like his comes along once in a thousand years or more. I am convinced that is true. Watch enough of his content you will be as well of yes try out his Diva Dance Bastau and then Confessa/Diva Dance performances. I think these four compositions will give you at least a better grasp to what I am telling you.

Welcome to Dimash world! You haven’t seen anything jet!!! This is about 1/3 or so what he can do! He can sing anything and everything and also combine many different ganras. This is the song that made him verry famus in 2017 in the competion "Singer" in China. More down low about that, He won a aword here that he gave to his grandmother that he calls mom.A tradition in Kazakhstan is that oldest son raises up by grandparents. They al live in the same house. Please react to the same songs but from different places and times because he changes them a bit every time please also watch the hole videos through because something might happen just that time…(Like Dimash hitting a D8!!! Yepp higher then the piano can go!!!) It's so fun for us "Dears" (that’s what Dimash calls his fans because he loves us as a dear family) to see how people react to him. Some info about Dimash. He is born in May 24 1994. He is from Kazakhstan and has been music schooled sense 5 years old and told the teacher that the piano was out of tune! He sings about 7 octaves or so! No one knows he is still learning. He sings higher than the piano can go! He also writs and compose own songs, plays bunch of instruments including Dombra there own Kazakh instrument that has a sound you can’t believe and onley 2 strings! He also sings in about 14 (Kazakh, Turkish, Usceck, Russian, Ukranian, Serbien, Bulgarian Chinese , Italien, Spamish, French, English, German, Japanese ) languages and speaks 3 so far (Kazakh, Russian and English). Dimash has an excellent education: he graduated from the College of Music with a degree in Opera Singing, university of arts in the specialty "Estrada and jazz vocals", and on June 18, 2020, he completed a master's degree in Composition. He graduated with a degree in opera from the music school at the University of Aktobe (2014), a degree in pop/jazz from the National Arts University in Nur Sultan (2018), just completed his Master's degree in composition (June 2020) and have started his PhD. He have done some contests in his life but the one I think got the worlds intension is "The Singer" (Allso called "I am a singer" or "Singer") from China in 2017. The Singer is a program for established Chinese singers to face off against each other invites only in a competition where votes were cast by an audience of 500. Dimash Qudaibergen was a last-minute inclusion (a 'dark horse'). But his performance of 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' electrified the audience, his fellow competitors and the viewers who numbered in the billions (this program was one of the most-watched in China and outside). They also got him the nickname "Imported little brother" the day after the show. They also had to get bodyguard for Dimash do to the famous over night both in China and also the world. Dimash wasn’t really prepared for that. He had come to China at 22 years young man by him self and didn’t know the language. They hade contracted him for 2 shows because they didn’t think he cold go further than that. He didn’t think they would like him. So he was nervous this performers that he had also to start the show with. But they hade to change that do to his famous over night. Dimash got many new friends from this show and he said at some point he learned a lot from it to. Here are the You Tube videos of Dimash's performances in The Singer 2017 and also The Singer 2018 he was invited to perform at the gala show they did. Also from 2019 there "The Super Vocal boys" invited him to sing with them! Episode 1 : 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' (A Soul's Plea For Help) In French. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lXery7yddt2cY9o.html Episode 2 :'Opera 2' in Russian! The best moment in this show was just after Dimash started thanking everyone and saw his father there. He didn’t know he was there. Just after they got out of that room Dimash turns to his father and asks if he did good! When Dimash was gonna go in to the other contestants he again turned to his father and asked him if he done good! That’s the kind of man he is humble, loving and respectful. kzread.info/dash/bejne/moSep7eogMqTkco.html Episode 3 : 'The Show Must Go On' In English You have never heard it like this! kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZIRss9uwo7W4qrQ.html Episode 4 : 'Late Autumn' In Mandarin!!! He learned this song in 1 week in mandarin to thank the warm welcome from the Chinese people. Gloria Wu's channel has back-story on what the song is about. kzread.info/dash/bejne/d5N_rNWHY8qdlaQ.html Episode 5 : 'Uptown Funk' In English. Not his best but I love this song and his attempt on a fast song with lots of energy. kzread.info/dash/bejne/dnaLwayvmtzMiNY.html Episode 6 : 'Adagio' In English and also playing piano kzread.info/dash/bejne/lWSGo7OyqZOef9Y.html Episode 7 : 'Daididau' In Kazakh and some parts in Chinese. He also plays Dumbra. kzread.info/dash/bejne/h5qekqdvhduxkZM.html Episode 8 : 'Daybreak' (Tiān liàng le- Han Hong original artist and writing it!) In Chinese! This is the one reaction I think you should do from 2 different versions do to following... Gloria Wu's channel has the back-story about the song that is so sad and from a life story about a boy losing his parents in an awful way. Also you get to hear how Dimash sounds like then loosing his voice the day of the show!!! When he went on he didn’t know if he could sing. Looking close at the other contestants they where so worried about him. He lost his voice again after. Li Jian another contestant bought him a very very expensive Chinese medication for him so he could get better soon! kzread.info/dash/bejne/p4x7qJmvl6i_e84.html The other one is from his own show in Bastau the same year. Hear you can see what he can do with the song. Fun to know which you like more. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZJ-OtqyjfNKqZpc.html Episode 9 : 'All by Myself' In English and you haven’t heard it like this! Wait to the end for some extra fun! kzread.info/dash/bejne/iqNlj9StgMy6YtY.html Episode 10 : 'Unforgettable Day' In Kazakh and I think some translation in Chinese to. If I remember correct he wrote the music to this one when he was 19 years old and lyrics by Oral-kosai Baisengir, who was a poet/lyricist father of a friend of Dimash. Also in this show another contestant "Terry Lin" that was about 51 years young here he considered Dimash a dear friend at this point. But Dimash started telling them al he was his father around episode 9 I think!! That is a big respect and love from his part of the world to call him! Terry was gladly accepting it. They are still that close and also invites each other to there concerts and sometimes singing this song in duet to. They sang it in Jackie Chang movie festival in 2019 and Jackie was choked in how good they were. Terry was known as an alien before Dimash and they have similar vocals to. kzread.info/dash/bejne/iXWslM6Ng6WXgKw.html From the concert in GAKKU you will be stund!! He sings it a bit different to say the least!!! Would be fun see what you think of that one too. Dimash Qudaibergen - Unforgettible day GAKKU kzread.info/dash/bejne/p2lmuqainMmcYps.html Episode 11 : (did not participate) He was already a finalist. Episode 12 : 'Confessa & The Diva Dance Confessa in Mandarin/Italian and the Diva dance come from the movie 5th element!!! If you haven’t heard of that one it’s done in a computer because it was too hard for a human to sing!! Well not now when we have Dimash! kzread.info/dash/bejne/m46NqctsZpveoLA.html Later in his own shows he sings it a bit different to. I think one is from the Bastau concert. His consorts are about 2, 5-3 hours long and I think he did this song towards the end of it. DIVA DANCE - Dimash Kudaibergen ( The world best singer ) From Bastau kzread.info/dash/bejne/oWmur9ephbLNgdI.html Episode 13 : 'Tribute to MJ' several songs in English and also playing Drums and a singing partner to also some children that sings a bit. kzread.info/dash/bejne/nYiFrI-cj73HZ9Y.html He didn’t win the competion they say its because he wasn’t Chinese. But I don’t know if that’s right or not! They change the rules next year. But he got the most out of it and was most known after this. Got lots of awards and other things to. So he won the audience and the Chinese people. Episode 14 Gala for raising money to the environment: 'Give Me Love' In Kazakh. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZXVlttxtaLabqKg.html The singer 2018 gala "Hello"- Lionel Richie Wait to the end to hear something fun and different! The sybyzgy is a Kazakh sideblown flute traditionally played by shepherds and horse herders, made from apricot wood or the wood of mountain bushes. Length 600-650 mm. The sybyzgy sound scale is estimated from 4 - 6 holes. kzread.info/dash/bejne/gp9hmKyTppjRerw.html I am a singer 2019 Dimash sings with The Super vocal boys - Queen Medley vk.com/video-181499113_456239085 Well here is the start of his carrier and he still is learning his voice. If you go from this you see how good he was and also later how good he have become. He has done so much and also done songs for movies and games and much more. Its gonna be fun see what you’re reacting to next Welcome to Dimahs train ride we al are in!! He keeps surprising us al and also get us crying and have fun be friendly and protecting towards him.

Dimash is to voice what Michelangelo is to art. The world does not have a recorded artist that has ever been as capable in all forms of vocal interpretation. As a Doctor of musical arts and science, it is my humble opinion, Dimash is a gift long-awaited and in need by the world. Aware or not, Dimash is far more than an entertainer, he is a healer for those in desperate need of reconnection. Perfect resonance, perfect balance in an unbalanced world.

Plus, he stays for a longer time in his lower register that you seem to love so much. Wich you a pleasant Dimash journey!

I love deep notes, low notes are great, but even better if they have depth to the tone, I believe the low note here that makes my heart stop is a B2, It's not abnormally low, I can infact as a Messo-soprano hit the note, but it's weak and lacks clarity. Most men could probably hit the B2 but not with the tonality or resonance we're hearing from Dimash, and that is what makes my heart stop. It's also why Geoff from Voiceplay (take a look at some of my other reacts if you want to listen to him) gets me every time. Ballads are also my favourite type of songs so putting it all into one song and one man is like heaven.

Te sugiero escuchar Stranger, Olímpico, Sinfull passion, Across endless dimensions, Oceans over the time, Requiem: The story of one Sky y todas las que puedas!

Dimash has been trained from the age of 5. He has songs in 14 different languages and plays 7 different musical instruments. He has two masters degrees in classical as well as contemporary music and currently pursuing his Phd in musicology. Although he was offered position at Astana opera he decided to carve out his career in this neoclassical contemporary kinda singing (he sings lot of genre even raps). Dimash goes in first octave and i think even below using vocal fry and he usually whistles in 7th octave but there's one time where he's whistled a D8 live! Greetings from India 🇮🇳

Great reaction- I think you had me as soon as your cat took over the camera - relatable! Dimash is an incredibly versatile and talented singer with an amazing ability to interpret, interact and emote to his audience. Trained both in classical and contemporary singing, there is no one genre to describe Dimash. From SOS, you may want to hear Sinful Passion or Olimpico, before you progress to Be with Me, Ave Maria, Stranger and eventually Requiem : the Story of One Sky. There are fun and frivolous pieces such as Opera 2 and Diva Dance, as well as ensemble works of both neo-classical such as Ti Amo Cosi or more contemporary styling with Queen Medley. Whichever direction you choose, you will never lack for followers since the next best thing to watching Dimash is watching other people watch Dimash! Enjoy the journey- cheers from Canada!

This song is a pearl of the French songbook is a Canadian-French cyberpunk-rock opera called Starmania, written in 1976 by Michel Berger (France) and with lyrics by Luc Plamondon (Canada) and immortalized in the voices of Daniel Balavoine, Diane Dufresne and Grégory Lemarchal. The song's theme is depression: In the 2021 version, Dimash faithfully and brilliantly presents a sentimental and melancholy interpretation! As the singing decisions follow the original structure of the song, which serves to show the psychological instability of the distressed character: From chest voice to head voice and then falsetto, the author aimed to show a broad need to win a long of desperation and the need to reach a very high perspective! Dimash, currently in his concerts, dedicates this song to his friends and acquaintances who left this world!

This is great, as is virtually every Dimash performance, but to be totally honest with you, it barely scratches the surface of the vocal variety and spectacular performances of which he is capable and with which he has provided us. I can hardly wait to see your reactions to "Stranger," "Ave Maria," "Love Is Like a Dream," "Olimpico," "Adagio" (the 2017 performance on the Chinese reality show), "Your Love," "Love Is Like a Dream," "Ikanaide," "El Amor En Ti," and dozens of others.

At first I thought the same, purely because I was stunned. However, I have an ever growing interest in counter tenor music, which is why I ended up doing the video the way I have. I had to sit down with my self, and really think through what was the impressive points, the notes, while beautifully done, can be hit by many counter tenor singers, so I have to really think about things like that and give an objective response in the world of singing, not just be amazed at anyone. Not to say each musician or singer isn't unique and skilled, but what sets them apart from the rest. 😊

This song S.O.S d'un terrien en détresse/ SOS from an earthling in distress is Dimash’s calling card. It is the song of the songs for Dimash and us, his Dears. This song is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight in 2017 (The Singer). The song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' (1978) and is known in the English-speaking world as Tycoon (1995). Music: Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon (French original text). The English adaptation is by Tim Rice. That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home. The competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day bodyguards were at his door and now he is a superstar but without airs... just our Dimash. The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to KZread ... and so we became Dimash's Dears. The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. Won). * Original: Daniel Balavoine - SOS d'un terrien en détresse (Starmania) - kzread.info/dash/bejne/a5-O16ahpbfRqKg.html

A few less commonly requested options: Tu Vas Me Detruire (another strong musical theater perfomance and feat Sundet Baigozhin, who also has an amazing deep tone) , War and Peace (a heavier rock sound with a timely message), My Swan (standard love song but rarely reacted to), Qairan Elim (I believe this was done as a tribute to a mentor of his who passed away from/during the pandemic), or Marigolds 🇺🇦 (doubly touching as a tribute to his mother while she's in the audience and as a Ukranian folk song). To showcase his raw vocal abilities try any version of Diva Dance or, even better, his vocalise version of Know. His highest note I'm aware of is at his Gakku performance of Unforgettable Day. Stranger might have his lowest note that I've heard but I feel like EVERYONE reacts to it. My personal favorites of his are everything. My favorite favorites are Ikanaide, Your Love, War and Peace, and Love is Like a Dream. There are so many more good songs and performances, I would obviously encourage you to continue to explore his full catalog even if you feel the need to do it off camera. Even different performances of a song you've heard previously have a good chance of having some new twists, though there are plenty of instances of performances to pre-recorded tracks like this video (I'm fairly certain the audio here is originally from his Digital Show). I've heard at least three different renditions of Autumn Strong in Chinese not counting Ikinaide, the Japanese version, and they were all enjoyable. This turned into my longest ever post on Dimash! 😅 I just want to end with this: He is my favorite male vocalist and objectively one of the greatest vocalists in the world currently performing for his range, technique, dynamics, expression, and SINCERITY. He is one of the few artists I'd actually really want to befriend, just for the person he is. He sings with his heart and he is finding his artistic theme with a recurring anti-war, anti-hate message.

Congratulations, you have been Dimashified !!! SOS is part of the French/Canadian musical/rock opera Starmania. The hero finds his girlfriend killed and sings this song over her dead body. The last words are a goodbye cry: 'Sleep now baby, sleep...'. What you witnessed is just the tip of the iceberg! You will see that Dimash IS the best singer/performer in this universe !!! Every one of his songs is unique and will leave you speachless... You have to also react to SOS, Stranger, Opera 2, Daybreak (Bastau version), Adagio (Singer version), Sinful Passion, Vocalize (and then Know), Ikanaide, Ogni Pietra, Ave Maria, Across Endless Dimensions, Love is Like a Dream and of course The Diva Dance (Bastau version). If you want to listen to someone that sings beyond the piano notes, try Unforgettable Day (Gakku version). If you like mainstream, try Fly Away, Be With Me and Screaming... And finaly, if you want to be filled with emotions and to have a lifetime's experience, try his last song/mini movie "The Story of One Sky", but be prepared... Welcome to the rabbithole...

I think you have done something quite clever there! At first in an initial video, you watched the whole song without pausing but demonstrating emotionally what you thought was going on with Dimash , as if you might have been in the audience, that prompted you to make a second video outlining from your professional perspective an analysis of Dimash's technical vocal qualities. I enjoyed that "format" and as a Vocal Coach appreciating that Dimash is the complete artist who knows exactly what he is doing with every note, that allows us "Dears" to understand better why we all love him so much. I am very much looking forward to seeing you again and being continually surprised at what you are experiencing.

Oh he's far from boring. I meant when I was younger and singing classical music I as a singer found it boring to sing, because I was growing up in the age of pop and had already been singing in choirs since I was 5. I switched to musical theatre around 13/14 years of age and it opened up a whole new world for me. Now I'm an adult (29) I have a much greater appreciation for all genres.

His Bel Canto teacher called Dimash a tenor, and Dimash graduated Classical as a tenor. That being said, he had a nice low register since young, and a high register that he kept through adolescence. He trained his high range in Classical style with soprano arias. His low range has been there for a long time, but age brought more fullness and resonance. He sits more and more comfortably in baritone without much fry or at all, his high register still reaching F6. What makes him special for me is dynamics and the gliding between classical and contemporary style and placement. Not just phrase to phrase, but in one climb - e.g. in the middle of SOS - F#5 classical placement, larynx tilted forward -> larynx goes back, contemporary placement -> C#6, D6 E6. His vocalization of the breath is another thing I love to hear him do, that is quite unique ; I`ve heard "breathy" singing in other singers, but his is very different. Onsets and offsets are quite special. He puts a lot of texture in his singing, and none of it is pointless, it all serves the text and story of the song very well. And he carries the song with his voice, it`s not a genius mix of beats and some voice, he carries the song. And when the instrumental dies down and he goes acapella in parts, it still sounds like his voice is the music. He also got a degree in Contemporary (Jazz, Pop) at age 24, after the one in Classical which he got at age 20. He loves both and uses both, but seamlessly and with more purpose than I have heard anyone else manage. He made the dozens of techniques that he masters tools for expressing stories. I have never heard another singer calibrate that so well, making text-painting a priority to such extent. Thank you for the reaction-analysis :) Song suggestion-wise, if you`re only ever going to do one other song from Dimash, it should be his crown jewel and 3 year work on composition and video script, "The Story of One Sky". If it`s not going to be just one, then that can wait a bit :) It`s the most complex, lots of techniques. "Olimpico" is a nice range exhibit, but in operatic style. Another good one for range is "Stranger" - much less operatic. "Ave Maria" is exclusively high register, and in vocalise form. "Fly Away" - exclusively contemporary, pop, gorgeous for breath use. "Ikanaide" - masterclass in breath control and use, kind of the top jewel for that. Just described a bit what each one is, if you`d prefer to have an idea when choosing one :) My favorite : All, his repertoire is like the coolest library of sound. So don`t mind me :) Not gonna suggest one in particular 😄

I agree, one of the parts of his voice that amazed me was how smoothly he can contrast his voice, he can keep the same note and adapt it to chest mix, head mix or falsetto without need to release the note. Doing that accurately while keeping the same dynamic is far from easy. While for men the larynx does tilt forwards more than females due to changes during puberty, I think his operatic training has taught him how to hold his larynx higher than contemporary singers. It's quite a common trait to see in opera singers and they actually have to be careful not to hold it too high. If you try swallowing and put two fingers on your larynx you'll feel it rise. Then try doing what we call a siren exercise (going low to high and back again like a police car) and you can feel your larynx position changing. Like I say, he's mastered every aspect of his voice capabilities but we all need to remember every voice is different, not everyone has a whistle register, and not everyone can do subharmonics. He has expanded his registers and perfected his skill. I'm interested to see as he ages if he will keep using his whistle range (I'm taking into his 40/50s age range). I'm looking forward to that maturity and seeing what he's going to do.

  • @lovesyoutube8591

@@vtstudio173 His whistle whistles are in the 7th octave, E7, F7, F#7, G7 and once he hit a D8. ("Unforgettable Day" GAKKU performance is the one with D8). They sound strong like they could sharpen a knife or something. He used them when he was younger and proving his range, or just being cheeky. Since ~2018 he hasn`t included them in songs, as they don`t fit musically, he is going for a more mature, harmonious sound. His head voice still reaches the 6th octave, and he`s still using it. A couple of opera singers I watched said that at the very top (around E6, F6) he uses a mix between head voice and flageolet, above head voice but connected mechanism (as opposed to whistle). I`m curious as well what the future will bring :) All I know is that even if he will use less of the high register, his normal 'tenor' range is still very textured and will still bring joy. He has many songs in a single register that are very beautiful. A lot of factors will go into the length of his stage career, and his old-school view on life and the importance of family will not be the least of them. He will probably not run around on stage in concerts for a very long time, or very long past his youth. He wants to teach as well. Which is why I am trying to get to as many concerts as I can while he`s still doing them :))

Yes, thank u, I did really enjoy it. U have a wonderful journey to travel on. Dimash is 29 this May 2023, just about coming to maturity of voice in a couple of years, I think. He IS amazing! Not only in his singing but also as a human being. He cares deeply about his Dears ( that is what he calls his fans), all other forms of life literally. He cares about the world and the struggles we are all going thru. Hope u watch some of his concerts. One of his latest Almaty is fantastic. Having performed concerts all around the world , his Almaty concert is the 1st one in his homeland of Kazakhstan. It's out of doors , uses HUGE, literally , screens, &stages. At age 3, when taken to the music school , because even at that age, he was strumming the dombra , singing, etc. (His family are very musical - mum opera singer, dad sings too, younger brother is as far as I know an instrumentalist professionally, but can be seen singing in family get togethers, which they do often. His mum n dad, are very involved in Kazakhstan's world of music ) - bck to the 3yr old Dimash, at three his family were told he is pitch perfect. He stared singing publically at 5 years old. Some lovely stories of him jumping up on stage after his parents had sung , at around 3, bowing to the audience. Lovely pics of that. And now Dimash holds his Docorate of Music at very high levels.Other degrees of a variety of genres. Sings in 15 may be more now, languages, plays 7 instruments, write lyrics, composes - his life IS music. With all that talent , he remains such a humble young man, he says, he's just an ordinary boy who loves to sing, the high notes are just a bonus. More on that another time, I think. Cheers

1 April 2024. Hi. I have just listened to one of the very best on vocal analyses and commentaries. You have been absolutely engaging from start to finish. In addition, I am totally in support of everything you have said and done here. Now, I have listened to as many songs by Dimash and it has taken be a very long time to find the best of his songs because they are all of the highest level. There are a few that, maybe, come closer to the one I will mention below. Note that my choice here is focused on only his live performances. Regardless of the one where he reached the "dolphin" sound, my personal best of everything that is Dimash (to date) is undoubtly SOS. Firstly, it contains so many different aspects in the field of Vocal Studies. You, too, mention that he executes all of it so well, down to all the nitty gritty - how he uses his body to enhance delivery, his microphone control and his overall stage presence. I challenge, literally, anyone who is alive today, to copy what this man has done here. I will then not even include stage performance. Your reaction was truly exceptional and I would love to follow you more closely. Of course, I would love to hear more of your reactions on Dimash but I will be interested in hearing what you have to say about the great American, Boston. In particular I will be interested in their now deceased vocalist, Brad Delp Gregory. ❤

For lower register singing, I suggest you react to three songs/performances/videos in the following order. (Not 1,2,3 consecutively, but 1, then some other Dimash videos, then 2, then some others, then 3.) 1. Olimpico. I recommend you react to the version most Dears recommend, namely his concert version from Igor Krutoy's channel. The song is in Italian but you can and should switch on English captions. (If you don't know Igor, he's every bit as amazing and unique a human being as Dimash is. He decided to compose music for Dimash starting in 2018; Olimpico was his first effort.) You will be impressed with most Dimash songs/performances, but I'm suggesting this one based on what you said in your reaction here. This one is very much operatic voice timbre wise, which will trick you into thinking he sings operatically in every song. 2. Stranger. Another Igor Krutoy composition tailored to Dimash's nature and abilities. I again recommend the version most Dears would recommend of this song, namely the New Wave 2021 version. It's in English, and the lyrics are idiomatic, and his English pronunciation of it is good, so you probably won't need to read the captions, but I suggest you put them on anyway. He hits an especially low note for a single syllable near the beginning of the song that goes lower than his lowest note in Olimpico. You will be impressed by many aspects of this song/performance, just as with SOS, Olimpico, and many of his songs. Play the video to its end so you catch and comment on the after song vibe as part of your reaction. This song also has some operatic timbre singing, but hopefully you'll have reacted to some completely different genre songs between Olimpico and this one, in which case you should already have been disabused of the notion you can predict what the heck he's gonna do next. He's a contemporary artist who knows no bounds. 3. The Story of One Sky. He composed this, his Magnum Opus, over the last 3 years. It is complex, epic, and 12 minutes of very intense story telling. And I mean *intense* ; it will likely drain you mentally, physically, and emotionally, so you should leave reacting to this until after you've already reacted to at least a dozen other Dimash songs. I recommend you react to the official Music Video version. It's in English, but I recommend you put the captions on anyway. You will likely be more impressed by aspects of this song/performance than any other. Some suggestions for other songs/performances/videos to open you up to accepting he has a broad artistic range, I suggest: * Be With Me. Mostly English with a section in Kazakh in the middle. I recommend the version most Dears would, namely the official Music Video. It's about 3 minutes iirc. I won't describe it other than it's fun. * Give Me Your Love. I recommend the New York 2019 live concert version on his official channel. Again, I won't describe it other than it's fun and will reinforce the impression you'll have gotten from Be With Me. But remember the real take away is to not think you've pigeon holed him. That would be a mistake. * Adagio. I recommend the version most Dears would recommend of this song, namely the 2017 performance at The Singer competition. This was his cover of a song by a singer he had loved since he was 12, Lara Fabian. Lara then fell in love with him when she saw it. (I'm not talking about romance here, though I suspect Dimash would have loved that, just the deep love shared by kind artists for other artists they admire, the same kind of thing one can see is shared with Igor Krutoy, who is very important in the lives of both Lara and Dimash.) * Your love. I recommend the version most Dears would recommend of this song, namely his 2020 Moscow performance. This song was composed by Lara Fabian for Dimash. * Sinful Passion. The version I recommend specifically for you is a "virtual a capella" edit of one of his Moscow 2019 performances, where they've stripped his vocals from almost all of the backing. This is NOT the one most Dears would recommend. Indeed, I've never seen a Dear recommend it, nor a reactor react to it -- but imo some voice teacher really *should* react to this version. kzread.info/dash/bejne/mWV9l8yAdZOoYs4.html One nice aspect is that there are many multi second silent gaps (where the backing music would normally be) where you can pause it.

Dimash’s vocal range to date I believe is E2 to D8 (Higher than Mariah) and G1 in vocal fry. He describes his style as ’Popera’ - a mix between the two but he can sing any style as you’ll see going through his songs. Incredibly versatile, and I think the fact he can move seamlessly throughout all of his registers is just amazing. The quality of his voice is as flawless in his lows as it is in the highs - definitely one of a kind & there’s no other singer like him. I really enjoyed your reaction & look forward to more as you continue your Dimash journey 😊

Thank you! Very enjoyable reaction and great analysis! Yes, it constantly amazes me how he has mastered voice production to the extent of creating a palette and using tone color, octave selection, style of singing, etc to create the final effect he wishes to express. Regarding vibrato: back in my days (forty years ago), it was called resonance, and was produced by focusing the sound in the middle of one of the sinuses, growing it a bit larger, snd whipping it around like a top. In Adagio for example, his jaw is shaking during the soft vibrato in the beginning, snd some vocal coaches have commented that he doesn’t need to do it to produce a vibrato. My take on it is that Dimash is so good at relaxing his jaw that when he spun the air for these notes, the force of it simply shook the jaw. He certainly did not do it on purpose. Your comments on breathing were interesting. Dimash’s lung capacity is a wonder to behold! In Stranger for example, he holds that last fortissimo note for over 20 seconds. In Sinful Passion, he executes a series of vocal acrobatics on just one breath lasting 23 seconds in the Sochi performance and 25 seconds in the Moscow performance!

Honestly Opera singers can use their breath for such a long time. Over a minute in some cases belting a single note I believe. I have no doubt he could, his breathing technique is great. Vibrato, no jaw shaking is needed for vibrato, but that's an interesting take on his jaw movements. I'm constantly researching and learning more in the world of voice science so once I find a theory I find accurate I will do a video on some voice science bits.

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than fifteen(15) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. Dimash clearly enjoys interacting with the audience. A couple of other great pieces that show off his capabilities are "Sinful Passion" (the best 23 second phrase EVER) and "Stranger" (4 1/2 octaves). Other favourites are "Your love", "Love is like a dream", "The love of tired swans" for more classical style pieces, "Screaming", "Give me your love" for more pop modern styles. "Ogni Pietra" for pure opera style. "Late autumn" is a masterclass in navigating head/chest/mix. "Daybreak" is a very emotional piece if you know the story and find a version with subtitles. And lest we forget, his recent song "The story of one sky" showcases all of his techniques wrapped up in a powerful message for world peace!

Thanks! I haven't watched The Story Of One Sky as I saw it was recent and thought I might do a blind react to it later on. In this one I've heard both his head and chest mix very well, there's no doubt he's very very practiced and worked hard on smoothing it out. There was one note in Love is like a dream (live) where I could hear a slight, and I mean SLIGHT waver in his voice, not in terms of pitch, more in terms of support as it was probably once where his voice may have cracked in his passage, however listening to the song without trying to analyze you would never know it. My passage is no where near as smooth as his, so I don't like to critique people that are clearly on a different level to me because there's a reason they're out there selling out stadiums and they don't need to hear or care about what I have to say, but if you're interested from the voice analysis/vocal science part of it I'd be happy to react to that one even though I have seen it. It was a very moving performance.

If he didn't want it there, he wouldn't add it. That's what I love about him as a singer. He uses wavers and cracks to his advantage, rather than as a crutch.

Dimash can actually sing a high soprano, all the way down to bass. His high notes here are not his whistle register , which goes up from midway the 7th to his awesome D8 and sounds like a whistle (seriously) Here his high notes are just that, high notes. Try his AVE MARIA and you’ll see what I mean . He does all of them so I don’t think he’s one, he’s everything. The most astonishing singer . Thank you for reacting to Dimash. Please continue ❤
