Rene...I'm an 81 year old retired singer/performer/vocal coach. I discovered Dimash when he was 22. He is now 28. I consider him to be a once in a lifetime phenomenon. He is a unique mixture of child prodigy, extensive training, and culture. I hope you take the time to research him and react to more of his art. Thank you so much for doing this one. It mirrors my 1st reaction to Dimash.

Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He is a twenty-eight year old multi-faceted artist with a soul of a thousand years, who hails from Kazakhstan. He sings in 15 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave 2 semi-tone range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble and kind man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Sinful Passion" 2018, "Stranger" 2021,"Olimpico" 2019 link on Igor Krutoy's (composer that came out of retirement to work with Dimash) KZread channel, "Adagio" from The Singer 2017, "Ikanaide" 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival, and "Ave Maria" 2021 at New Wave. After digesting those performances, I can't stress enough my recommendation for one of his most recent songs and music video (mini movie) the artistic masterpiece "The Story of One Sky" that he wrote the screenplay for and spent 3 years composing the music for, which displays a lot of his range (not all) and soooo many vocal techniques and dynamics, including sub harmonics, whistle register, bass, tenor, baritone, classical, jazz, pop, rock and unreal metal screams....and unbelievable dramatic acting. Each performance will leave you stunned. Thank you for reacting to our Dimash from a loyal "Dear" (fandom name given to us by Dimash, because we are dear to him like his family). He has fan clubs in 132 countries.

@@fjorddenierbear4832 I know what you're saying, but it could be argued that it is objectively better, since the original and earlier French singers could only manage a falsetto, and didn't reach nearly the high pitches of Dimash. When you add in that he sang it with great emotion, it seems the quality is undeniably higher. Individually of course it is a matter of taste.

One of the few reactors who focuses on the emotional aspect of a song. Good luck on getting a song that Dimash performs without the emotional tag! Most of them are heart wrenching or profound. Musicality - Opera2, Olympico, El Amor en Ti. He is beyond patriotic and uses age-old instruments from Kazakhstan - kobyz and Dombra. Aday-Daididau - Bastau concert. Here he performs with 100 other dombra musicians. Epic! Samaltau is another Kazakh folk song. This is a powerfully profound song of a soldier being forced to go to war 1916. Unforgettable Day - Gakku concert, was composed by Dimash when he was 15 years old. Daybreak, a Chinese song about a cable car accident where a couple saves their child but tragically they die. Adagio, a Lara Fabian song - my opinion is he sings it far better than she does. I could carry on forever. . . . . Happy travels!

You had me until you stated that Dimash's performance of Adagio is better than Lara's. It's different. One is a male singer, one is a female singer. One is from Kazakhstan, one is from Belgium but spent her early years in Italy and then moved to Canada. Why do people always feel the need to proclaim one singer better than another, or one singer's version of a song better than another? They are each brilliant in their own individuality. Stop making it a competition, because when you have a competition, one person loses the competition. Do you think Lara Fabian is a loser? Do you see my point? If you feel the need to compare, just say that in your opinion you prefer one over the other. Don't make it a declaration. ☮️

Dimash was inspired by his version and he probably also has his own personal interpretation of the song. The most beautiful thing about this song is that it can be interpreted in many ways, but always with that feeling of pain, depression and wanting to disassociate oneself from reality and these feelings are so universal that is why the song became legendary.

As for Dimash's musical choices, I consider 8 aspects (all wonderful): (1) Famous songs by Igor Krutoy (famous Russian billionaire pianist), made for other singers and specially adapted for Dimash, with arrangements by Erlan Bekchurin (famous Kazakh arranger and very close friend of Dimash): As an Example, "Love is Like a Dream ", Love of Tired Swans... (2) Songs by Igor Krutoy created for Dimash, also with arrangements by Erlan Bekchurin: As an example, “Stranger”, “Passione”, “Your Love”, “Ave Maria” ... (3) Songs by Kazakh composers, folk music from Kazakhstan, which speak of Kazakh martyrs or love for the motherland, or moving stories in other countries: As an example, “Durdaraz”, “Elim Menim”, “Salmatau”, “Quiran Elim ” (the latter by Kazakh pianist Renat Gaissin), “Daybreak” (Han Hong), “Marigolds” (Ukrainian folk song), among many others... (4) Songs composed by Dimash himself, with arrangements by him and lyrics by others (the famous poetess Lila Vinogradova, for example): Like the very current “The Story Of One Sky” or the impressive “War And Peace” (5) Songs composed by Dimash himself, with arrangements by him and Erlan Bekchurin, talking about youthful loves, or honoring his idols, such as Michael Jackson and Lara Fabian, or honoring fans from other countries: As an example, “Be With Me ”, “Unforgatabble Day” (Gakku version in Kazakhstan is insane), “Give Me Your Love”, “Golden”, “Screaming”, “Zhalyn”; “El Amor En Ti”, “Fly Away” ... (6) Songs composed by Dimash's brother (Albimansur “Mansur” Quidabergen, 16 years old) and with lyrics by Dmitry Goubnitskiy and arrangements by Yerlan Beckchurin: As an example, “Together”. (7) Covers of famous songs in several languages: “SOS” (French - Starmania), “Hello” (English - Lionel Richie), “Ikanaide” (Japanese - Koji Tamaki), “All By Myself” (English - Eric Carmen /Celine Dion), “Opera2” (Russian - Vitas), “Adagio” (Lara Fabian), among many others... ... (8) Video game theme music made exclusively for Dimash: Like the song “Ocean Over The Time”, theme song for the game “Moonlight Blade Online” composed by Thomas Parisch. Theme song for game (the Hollywood Music in Media Award for "Best Original Song in a Video Game" in 2017)Theme song for game (the Hollywood Music in Media Award for "Best Original Song in a Video Game" in 2017)In this classification, which I made, the first strands are compositions of pop-symphonic, classic-pop or epic songs! They are characteristic of Maestro Igor Krutoy and Kazakh classical composers. Dimash's compositions use more lyrical-pop crossover, or an eclectic mix of R&B, Soul, RAP, Funk, Gregorian: Characteristics of Dimash's youthful side! (7) Cover di canzoni famose in diverse lingue: “SOS” (francese - Starmania), “Hello” (inglese - Lionel Richie), “Ikanaide” (giapponese - Koji Tamaki), “All By Myself” (inglese - Eric Carmen /Celine Dion), “Opera2” (Russo - Vitas), “Adagio” (Lara Fabian), tra molti altri... ... (8) Tema musicale del videogioco realizzato in esclusiva per Dimash: come la canzone “Ocean Over The Time”, tema musicale del gioco “Moonlight Blade Online” composto da Thomas Parisch.

E6 for Dimash isn't whistle tone yet. He often lives in the rafters and sings Queen of the Night for fun. You'll recognise his whistle when you hear it. The teacher he credits to thos day as being the one who taught him nearly everything about music is his college teacher, Marat Aitimov. As a teenager Marat in fact forbade him to sing in falsetto because he was concerned that he would hurt himself. The reason for his concern was because Dimash's technique wasn't solid yet, he was still learning. But Dimash was a typical teenager and Marat often tells the story of how he would arrive at college and could hear Dimash on the third floor, singing these high notes. Then he would suddenly stop when he knew Marat atrived and make himself scarce. 😅

Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Dimash is a 28-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He has his own company „DimashAli Creative Center“ and is managed by his father Kanat. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize your so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄. He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time. Please also react to The Singer competition as soon as you can. If you want to see another awesome song than I recommend Stranger. Stranger: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nnqnpJeBhtHTg6Q.html Here you can hear a large part of fhis vocal range, as well as an incredibly awesome Kazakh instrument. The Kobys. The man who often plays the kobys in Dimash’s performances is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m glad you discovered Dimash and I hope you continue to react to videos of him. You are just at the beginning and you will discover so many completely different and incredible songs yet if you are willing to continue on this emotional ride. Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️

This song is a pearl of the French songbook is a Canadian-French cyberpunk-rock opera called Starmania, written in 1976 by Michel Berger (France) and with lyrics by Luc Plamondon (Canada) and immortalized in the voices of Daniel Balavoine, Diane Dufresne and Grégory Lemarchal. The song's theme is depression: In the 2021 version, Dimash faithfully and brilliantly presents a sentimental and melancholy interpretation! As the singing decisions follow the original structure of the song, which serves to show the psychological instability of the distressed character: From chest voice to head voice and then falsetto, the author aimed to show a broad need to win a long of desperation and the need to reach a very high perspective! Dimash, currently in his concerts, dedicates this song to his friends and acquaintances who left this world! Original version - Daniel Belavoine - kzread.info/dash/bejne/a5-O16ahpbfRqKg.html

Actually no matter-is a song technically complicated or not - Dimash sings by heart! Thank you! Listen to Dimash, watch his interviews, fan cams… is the entire enjoyable journey to somewhere else! You've been dimashified! The only way to explain Dimash's singing is that he is beyond talented. His is unworldly a once in a lifetime singer. The best way I can describe the way he makes me feel is that he reaches inside you with his voice & raw emotions to actually sing & he touches your soul. I remember discovering Dimash & going down that rabbit hole he brought me to tears many, many times like no artist has ever done. Enjoy your journey with Dimash & if I could suggest one thing, please read his lyrics after listening to his songs. The lyrics of his songs are just as moving as the singing. You can't really read the captions while listening to the songs his voice will just take over & you'll miss the lyrics of the song, which are just as amazing. Great reaction & can't wait for your reaction to Olimpico. If you think SOS was moving, you're in for a real treat with that masterpiece.

Prepare your heart cause there a lot of emotions coming 😄 Ave Maria, Know (vocalize version), Ikanaide, Autumn Strong, Daybreak, The Story of One Sky, Adagio are some of the suggestions that I recomend to you. Dear Rene, you are not the only one touched deep down emotionally by Dimash. He is not the best singer on the planet currently for nothing. And I am not just talking about the voice. He feel deep about all of his songs. Not all of them so sad but every one if them is a masterpiece. I suggest you take a break before listening "The story of One Sky", because it as emotional as it gets and asks all the existential questions all over again (Dimash wrote and directed MV for it himself). For a bit more easy listening please check out his performance in " Together" , "Screaming", Sinful Passion", Love is like a dream.

If you want a song that is content safe (meaning the song lyrics won't make you cry), I guess try a love song. Probably pretty safe. Love is like a dream, Your Love, Give Me Love, Restart My Love, Love of Tired Swans, I Miss You, If I Never Breathe Again. The songs are different languages, different types/styles, but lyrically pretty "safe". Dimash, born May 24, 1994 is from Aktobe, Kazakhstan. Even his voice teachers don't know how he kept his upper register growing up. His speaking voice is pretty low for someone who can sing that high. Welcome to the land of Dimash, and this song, makes most people tear up when they hear it for the time.

Dear Rene, with Dimash we always feel overwhelmed and surprised and nurtured. Yes, you will never forget this reaction, your life will never be the same again. He is an extraordinary human being and comes from an extraordinary family and culture of musicians. There are so many performances by him to recommend. I am sure somebody else will give you more information about Dimash, or you can read about him on Wikipedia. I am going to my first Dimash concert in Malaysia in June. “Dears” (he calls us fans his dears) fly from all over the world to attend his concerts. If I can recommend one song at the moment it is Ave Maria, composed by Igor Krutoy especially for Dimash. Subscribed and looking forward to your Dimash journey. Willem, Melbourne Australia. P.S. Come to the concert in Kuala Lumpur in June, they are usually more than 3 hours long.

Welcome to Dimash. Everything with Dimash is an experience. Absolutely everything. You are going to be stunned by the beauty of the music he brings and he does so in so many genres, and so many languages. Composer Igor Krutoy has written songs just for Dimash, such as Stranger, and his own version of Ave Maria. Ave Maria has no lyrics, just Dimash vocalizing and it will send goose bumps all over your body. However, Dimash also composes music, El Amor En Ti in Spanish ( you see his Baritone, Tenor, Soprano and pop all in one song) , and his epic MV about war and the need for peace in which you will get even a better sense of not only his heart but what he can do with that voice. It is entitled The Story of One Sky. He is also one of the main actors. Just have a tissue handy.

Tip of the iceberg. I tried (without success!) to think of Dimash’s repertoire and come up with “just a song”… Dimash emotes beautifully and stirs the hearts of his listeners. I’ve commented before that Dimash touches the souls of his listeners and those who feel the pull are more inclined to become his dears (his name for his fan base). Maybe the closest to a song would be the fun and frivolous Be with Me (MV). Almost everything else has depth, warmth, emotion beyond any other musician I have heard. Cheers from Canada!

His dream is to use the gift that he's been given, to help bringing unity between all people - all religions, all races, people from all walks of life - closer together in respect, acceptance, and with love. He's an old soul.. And humanity and humbleness fills his soul.. And music! 😅 BEAUTIFUL reaction.. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Thank you so very much! I think you would love Ikanaide, Tokyo Jazzfestival. Ikanaide means "Please don't leave".. This was from a digital show Dimash put on for us fans ‘dears’ during covid. All the dears watched at the same time from around the world. It brought us together at a time when we were so separated. Dimash is very spiritual but has a fun side, doing pop songs too. You can have no idea of what you are in for with each song, He sings lots of genres in lots of languages. If you want something ‘ordinary’ (if you can call anything he sings, ordinary) maybe his latest mv Together will be uplifting for you. His younger brother composed the song and appears in the mv. But if you want some more drama, I suggest Stranger, from New Wave 2021 and is in English.

Dimash is more than just an artist - he's a masterful storyteller, a musician who captures the very essence of the human experience in every note he sings. His soulful voice resonates with a depth and rawness that few can match, as if his heart and soul are one and the same, pouring out unreservedly with every song he sings. Listening to Dimash is an emotional journey, a powerful experience that reaches directly into the depths of your being. His voice is a true instrument of emotion, conveying an unparalleled depth of feeling that speaks directly to your heart. Each of his songs is a testament to the power of music to express the full range of human emotion. Listening to his music is like stepping into another world, one filled with passion, love, and heartache - a world where every lyric and every note speaks to the very core of your being. In short, Dimash is a rare gem in the world of music, a true artist who shares his soul with the world in every song he sings. He is an inspiration to us all, and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to experience his incredible talent and emotional depth through his music.

Welcome to the world of Dimash! Thank you for your genuine appreciation of Dimash’s insane talent. He’s not only an exceptional vocalist, but also an accomplished musician, and an amazing performer. Dimash has a vocal range of over 7 octaves, which is quite impressive; but that’s not what defines him. He sounds exquisite at any range, which is incredible in and of itself. Besides, his voice has so many colors and tone to it, not mentioning his vocal dynamics. His voice is soaring only to express his intense emotions, whether it’s a cry for help (SOS), a yearning (Samaltau), or to express pain or loss (The Story of One Sky). Dimash, being a composer himself (“Unforgettable Day”- Ұмытылмас күн, The Story of One Sky, El Amor en Ti…), knows how the song he interprets must be delivered. Indeed, what I love about Dimash is that he does not use his vocal abilities to show off, but to serve the song: through his voice, he’s telling us a story. In short, he’s not only a masterful vocalist - It’s precisely thanks to his mastery that Dimash is able to freely dive, and tap, into his emotions; but also he’s a great storyteller. What I also love about him is the way he immerses himself in the songs he sings. Thus, Dimash is not a mere vocalist, but a true artist who sings in the service of the song first and foremost, and not to simply show off his insane vocal abilities. Case in point: songs such as Amanat, Okay, Qairan Elim, Qaragym Ai, Give Me Love… where he doesn’t use his powerful voice and high belting, simply because the songs don’t call for it (all available on his KZread channel). In other words, his singing style and vocal abilities should not be confused to mere vocal acrobatics: it serves the meaning of the song, he uses them to better express a specific emotion. Above all, he’s a soulful, genuine, passionate, and humble artist. At last, know that Dimash is classically trained - he even declined a position as an opera singer when he was only 22, and has absolute pitch (a rare cognitive trait by the way) which was discovered when he was only 5 years old. I put some links below of great songs to react to. I’m sure other Dears (aka Dimash fans) will suggest many more! Take your time and enjoy your musical journey into discovering this amazing Independent Artist from Kazakhstan! Please check “Sinful Passion”, my favorite rendition is recorded by a fan cam during his Moscow concert on March 2019 [high quality Fancam]. Here’s the link: kzread.info/dash/bejne/p6yAytmfdqm7gdY.html Since it’s recorded as is, no post production here: Dimash’s live singing is flawless. I was lucky enough to have attended his solo concert in NY back in 2019: I became a Dear for life then! STRANGER (New Wave / Новая Волна 2021), his original song, composed by Igor Krutoy, a Russian-Ukrainian composer, specifically for Dimash: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nnqnpJeBhtHTg6Q.html (whenever you see Igor Krutoy accompanying him on the piano during a live performance, it means that he composed the song for Dimash) AVE MARIA | New Wave 2021 kzread.info/dash/bejne/n4B7mslrn9Ksg6Q.html (not the Schubert’s version but Igor Krutoy’s, the composer who accompanies Dimash at the piano in the video). Note: Please check out (in your downtime or with us) this short video of his vocal practice session (link: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hIyTlrZ9ZbibpJs.html); and you’ll understand why he’s the king of vocal dynamics: his mastery of the crescendo and diminuendo is incredible, and he was only 22 in that video. Fast forward a few years time and you have Dimash doing the exact same thing at the end of Ave Maria. “Ikanaide” (in Japanese. Cover): kzread.info/dash/bejne/aqGBj8SpZbOoY5c.html Omir Oter | 2021 kzread.info/dash/bejne/aI6bm8yEgrGpdps.html (his original, in Kazakh, composed for him) Samaltau | 2021 (traditional Kazakh song with a Dimash flair) kzread.info/dash/bejne/g6KFxM97Zq6-fag.html “Unforgettable Day”- Ұмытылмас күн | 2021 (his original Kazakh song, Dimash composed the music when he was 19) kzread.info/dash/bejne/iWl4lJKsftnUeLw.html Golden | 2021 (his original song, pop/rock) kzread.info/dash/bejne/gG2GmJibeczHhaw.html “The Story of One Sky” (Dimash composed the music, his latest masterpiece) is a heartfelt plea for peace and unity: although we are divided into different countries, races and faiths, we all share the same sky. kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y4SnzNmsaZqsn6Q.html Cheers from Texas!

This was an excellent full bodied reaction. Thank you. 🤩 In the original 1970's Cyber-punk opera rendition of SOS, the "hero" sings this song over the dying body of his love. Contemplating whether he can go on without her. 😢😢😢 Dimash sings everything at 200%. He has a huge variety of song types to appeal to a wide audience and likes to add variety each time he sings the same song. (Why there are many different renditions of SOS, for example) He is a very intense artist but has a playful side. 😊 To me his "normal" songs would be Screaming IdolHits(pop/rap), Give me your love(pop), Durdaraz/ Almaty(rock) and Be with Me MV (playful pop). He is a mega star beloved by millions in over 140 countries. Welcome to the incredible world of Dimash. 💖💖💖 Best wishes from a Canadian Dear 🇨🇦

In the musical, the song is sung by the character Jonny Rockfort, who is the leader of a gang of anarchist rebels fighting against a facist government. He is interviewed by Cristal, the host of the most popular show in western media, and the two fall in love. Jonny is betrayed by someone he trusted and Cristal is shot and dies in his arms. Great reaction. Welcome to the world of Dimash. I'm afraid that he has no normal songs. Not only does he have the widest range of any living human, he is a devoted artist and so many of his songs are filled with emotion. There is a list of songs from another comment and they are all excellent. I would also recommend "Love is like a dream" which is an incredible love song sung in Russian. You will also get to experience when he sings like an angel. If you want to know what heaven and the angels are like then you have to listen to "Ave Maria". He doesn't sing a single word and yet it is one of the most moving songs I have ever heard. He sings "Ah" and that's it, but what a vocalize it is and so incredible that he can send a message just singing "Ah". I have yet to see any vocal teacher who doesn't turn into a fan (dear).

All his performances consider all aspects, including every note of every song, staging, lighting and incredible compositions often from his own hand and his mentor Igor Krutoy that account for Dimash's incredible range and talent. Dimash is a hero of mine because he epitomises unity, humanity and humility into his unique art form. It really doesn't matter what you choose to react to next - be prepared for surprises. Thank you for a wonderful, genuine emotional reaction to my favourite artist, the phenomenon called Dimash. The first time I saw Dimash perform SOS was on a TV show called The Singer in China 2017 when he was just 22 years of age. There were no English subtitles so I had no idea what the song was about, yet I experienced similar emotions to those you displayed. I had goosebumps, I was trembling inside, I was utterly shocked, I was in tears. I had never in my life heard anything like it. His voice took me on an emotional rollercoaster. One song was all it took for me to become a fan of this amazing person. Since then I have watched every song, every performance, every interview, every TikTok and fan video and every Facebook post of, on or by Dimash. Hardly a day goes by when I don't watch another person discover his talent for the first time and get blown away. Some don't get it. Some brush it off as merely 'good'. Some dislike the theatricality and say it's showing off. But others, the ones who need to hear it at that precise moment in their lives, feel his voice and message deeply and find themselves utterly enthralled, intrigued and moved. Welcome to the beautiful world of Dimash. It's a good world and it's getting better all the time.

I watched many reactions to this song but have to honestly say yours was just something else. Things you've said... it's like you understood the performance on another level. And the things you said about artists, that "they grapple with everything that it means to be human and they try to make sense with it so that we can be human together" it reminded me of something that Di said many times, that we were not born to be teachers or singers or anything else but to be humans first of all. I can't wait to see more from you, I hope you will react to some more Dimash cause I'm now very curious your thoughts of his performances and his songs.

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed and appreciated your reaction and commentary on Dimash. I discovered him five years ago and haven't gone a single day without his voice. His fans (Dears) are some of the most devoted fans you will ever run into. We all were first brought into his world after hearing his voice, but found he offers so much more than that. He is a wonderful, sweet, kind, caring, generous (etc. etc.) human being who we've all fallen in love with. Besides his singing performances there are tons of other videos on You Tube devoted to him. A lot are fanmade... from mini documentaries, funny behind the scenes, interviews, even the reception he gets when arriving or leaving an airport! (And he never gets lost in the crowd, because at 6'3" he sticks out!) He has a very soft spot for children and the elderly, which you will see. I could go on and on but I see you have so many comments to read so I'll stop here. Much love from a Nevada Dear!

Dimash sings every song from his heart and soul. There is no "normal" song with him. Every performance has the potential to wreck me and heal me at the same time. Dimash is a master at communicating the emotions of a song even if you don't have subtitles to give you the lyrics of it. You FEEL what the song is about. I look forward to your future reactions.

SOS is the song that introduced Dimash to the world and opened many great opportunities and collaborations for him. There are a number of versions of Dimash singing this song, each different but all great. This particular version comes from the Dimash Digital Show put on during the pandemic after all live concerts were cancelled and he had to cut his Arnau Tour short. The song SOS comes from the famous 1978 Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania', which is well known in French-speaking countries, and is a pretty difficult song to sing. In 2017 Dimash received a wild card for the competition “The Singer” in China. He was the youngest participant ever at 22 years old and the first non-Chinese. Only professional, award-winning singers take part in this competition. Although well-known and respected in his homeland Kazakhstan, few in China knew or heard about Dimash before, but with his first song, SOS, Dimash shocked the audience and captured the hearts of over 600 million of viewers overnight, and the rest is history as the saying goes. Dimash has extra-ordinary talent, but without putting in a lot of hard work, he would never have been able to develop his voice and performance to what it is now. Many people have raw talent, but few have dedicated their lives to perfect their art the way Dimash has. Because Dimash has studied voice since he was 5 years old and practiced several hours every day throughout his life, he was able to keep the upper registers after puberty when most other boys his age went through their voice changes. With continuous practice as an adult, he was - and still is -- able to extend his range significantly, both in the lower and upper registers. In interviews, Dimash compares his vocal exercises to the kind of training athletes have to undergo. He is a very disciplined artist. In addition to 3 hours vocal practice every day, he also exercises daily and swims under water to strengthen his lungs and chest muscles to support his voice. As a dedicated Muslim, he does not smoke, drink alcohol, use drugs or profanities, or engage in questionable social activities. You will find no scandals about him. He surrounds himself with his beloved family and like-minded friends and artists to stay well-grounded. Despite his success, he is a very humble, gracious person, continuously working towards ever greater mastership of his art, always striving to be worthy of every song that he is performing. That is why he is such a powerful presence on stage: he always gives 100% to his music and his audience. He not only performs each song; he embodies it, body, mind, heart, and soul. Dimash often chooses songs that touch us at our deepest core. Many have backstories that are simply heartbreaking; through his music Dimash pays homage our common pain and struggle as well as our capacity to endure and overcome and open our hearts to a greater love. His stated mission in life is to bring unity and peace to the world through his music, and if you decide to make the journey with Dimash, you will find that he is not just a talented young man but a true Master. He grasps and employs universal archetypes in music to such a degree that people are deeply moved even if they do not understand any of the words. Many ancient sacred teachings talk about the Sound Current (aka Voice of God) when employing specific forms of music and rhythm that alter the state of consciousness of the listener. Dimash knows how to use and channel these vibrations to awaken something very deep in the psyche of the audience. Because he is not ego-driven, Dimash does not abuse this power and deflects any cult-like outpourings with modesty, grace and praise for the contributions of others. He always shows the utmost respect for his talent and the ethical responsibilities that go with his god-given gift. His music is an invitation to all who hold him Dear to go on a spiritual journey that liberates the soul to soar with him towards that ultimate love that unites us all.

The only thing I can add to what others have said is to please watch his performance of SOS when he sang in China. We all have our preferences for different performances of this song but I do feel that one was his best without all of the lights and doppler effects. I have watched his videos everyday now for almost 2 months thinking I will tire of his work. I have not. I am 65 years old and have never felt this way about someone's music . Plus I admire him as a lovley, kind and wonderful human being . With all the pain and separation in the world currently I feel as though Dimash is a light who brings a bit of love, hope and unity to our world which we so desperately need.

Hi Rene, You have just witnessed, not the performance of a song, but a mystical experience, a work of art, a one-way trip into the world of Dimash, a new and unknown place from which you will never want to return. A place where his voice turns into a gentle caress for your heart and a soft caress for your soul. A place where your brain no longer seems to be yours. Your mind only thinks of hearing his voice, seeing his hands, his gestures, the expressions of his face; so that to be enchanted and stunned! His voice expresses the song of a free and pure world, in which a person feels relieved of every burden of daily life. His voice then grows more and more and slowly the music seems to disappear, so that his voice becomes spirit, redemption and purification. When you see him perform (yes, Dimash must be seen, he cannot simply be heard on the radio) thanks to his enormous artistic talent, the soul is freed from the weight of the body and regenerates. Dimash takes the listener by the hand and accompanies him towards the resurrection of his conscience, towards a real rebirth. You don’t even need to understand what he says; his voice, his stage presence, his way of living the stage, goes straight to your heart, your soul and your brain, sending you a whirlwind of incredible emotions. The next videos that I advise you to react (but are also exceptional all the others on the net) are: - Sinful passion (kzread.info/dash/bejne/iW16zqaGc9KefLg.html); - The love is like a dream (kzread.info/dash/bejne/qoB5s9yfobLFnJM.html) I suggest you go all the way. So you can see the reactions of the audience and how much he is loved by his fans. You will also listen to Dimash say some things, which make the artist known as a person. Have a nice trip, Rene! 💋😘

It's very important to him and he often dedicates it to people close to him or artists who died.

A French singer wrote this. That is why Dimash sang it in French. The French were so taken with SOS on Singer 2017 (His first performance, age 22) that they invited Dimash to perform on one of their T.V. shows Dimash turned 23 before the contest between professionals ended. Dimash was invited as a wild card. He had never been in China until The Singer. China fell in love with him. Dimash is big on special effects and his Solo Concerts all have them and some have the full orchestra. Now he is down to a set of regular musicians, all friends. A dear friend of Dimash's, a professional Ice Skater, skated to SOS. A few months later, he was going to his car to see guys trying to break in his car and bottom line, he was killed. A great talent and Dear friend's life snuffed out in seconds. Dimash used SOS as a tribute to his friend and at the end was so emotional, he had to leave the stage for a few seconds. This is the background story on why SOS is his trade song which he sings at every concert.

Thank you very much for this reaction... Dimash performed a song by Daniel Balavoine. Dimash is an incredible artist in many ways... His vocal abilities, his outstanding interpretations, he lives the music, he breathes the music, he IS the music... But he is also a young man of incredible humanity... He is barely 28 years old and has an amazing career, but he remains very humble. He doesn't sing for money, but to transmit, share, make people discover his country... He has a very affectionate relationship with his Dears and we love him for all these reasons... We invite you to discover more of Dimash's songs, but I think you may not know it yet, but you are probably already one of his Dears... and believe me, it is with great pride that I tell you... . 🥰

He doesn't actually get into his whistle register until he gets much higher than this song. He has some whistle note that is a D8, which as you probably know doesn't exist on a standard piano keyboard. Dimash Qudaibergen (di-MOSH Koo-dye-BEHR-gen) is a talented artist from Kazakhstan who began his formal training at the age of 5. He is professionally trained in opera, contemporary music, and musical theater. His diverse discography includes genres such as pop, R&B, EDM, rock, folk/traditional, neo-classical, opera, and even rap and hip-hop. A multi-instrumentalist, composer, songwriter, producer, director, and actor, he owns a production company called Dimashali Creative Center. He is 28 years old, 6'3", and a consummate performer.
