well it's nothing new taking into account that some ATGMs can be equipped with anti-aircraft charges to engage helicopters or drones...

This is virtually identical to a Ka-52 shoot down a couple of weeks ago (but this isn't reused video). You would think that helicopter pilots would have figured out that hovering like that isn't a good idea anymore.

I have yet to see any evidence for the KA-52's much vaunted ejection system actually working.

That was a direct hit on the cockpit. Stugnas are either 130 or 152 mm missiles with a lot of explosives inside. I doubt the pilots survived long enough to eject at all.

There actually was a video on the 24th February showing 2 pilots landing in a lake/reservoir but sadly the video starts too late to identify the aircraft, though due to the low altitude of the pilots/wreck hitting the water it was most likely a ka-52.

I can only recall one video that it actually worked as expected and both crew survived from ejection but the pilot got severely burned from his gunners ejection Rockets

Yes, it is sad -- but those guys in this chopper could kill (or maybe killed) a lot of people. KA-52 is an attack helicopter designed for killing people, that is why we are happy it was eliminated. Everyone knows who invaded Ukraine -- it is Russia.
