Tair-11A 135/2.8 is really nice, same as Mir-24M 35/2. Jupiter-9 85/2 is not so good as for me (too soft), Helios 40-2 85/1.5 is much better in the same focal. Also great are Helios 77M-4 50/1.8 and Kaleinar-5H 100/2.8 MC. Jupiter-37A 135/3.5 MC is also pretty interesting. For telephoto is cool Jupiter-21A 200/4. Have all of them. Just small tip for USSR lens enthusiasts - look for export models, where lens name in English transcription and "Made In USSR" marked. They are usually better in build and image quality. And just FYI, first 2 digits of serial is year of lens production (i.e. 822160 = 1982)

Hello! I just bought zenit TTL with 1979 production year. It came with Helios 44M 1979 year. TAIR 11A 1979 produced. 3 filters orginal leatherpouch and even with orginal factory certification with stamps, also userguide. Orginal one. Last, there was also 1979 produced helios 28mm lens. All in mint condition. Hard storage case. Its olympic version. I think this was good deal for 150 euros.

HI...!!! May be you can help me with your opinion... My new RICOH SINGLEX II cannot complete the shutter cycle as the mirror is stopped shortly before reaching the bumper but only when the lens is mounted. It is an AUTO RIKENON 1:2 50mm - M42. In this lens, the cam that operates the diaphragm sticks out 3.7 mm (5/32") and is capable of closing fully at f/16 with a force of less than 80 grams (2.8 oz) leaving only 2 mm (3/32") sticking out. Pushing it all the way down requires increasing force to just under 250 grams (8.8 oz) with nothing to do (All according to my chinese SF-400 digital scale). It seems that this final effort is too much for the mechanics of the camera. 250 grams seems like a lot. What do you think? It's my first M42. Thanks and see you soon.
