We are in 'em! We started the day off hearing bugles and glassing up elk, including a big 6-point herd bull not too far away. We watched them work up an open ridge to see where they might bed, so we could make a move. After we lost sight of them, we starting packing our gear to start our stalk and spotted more elk further up the ridge.
At first, we thought it was the same herd, but later realized it was a likely a different herd with another nice 6-point herd bull. Either way, this herd ended up on an area that seemed like a good spot to stalk them in and we made our way. We ran into other hunters throughout the day, but would that interfere with our ability to punch our tag?! Check it out.
