WOW, what an amazing day in the elk woods. We had confidence there would be elk in the area we hiked into because we saw them the evening prior, but we had no idea about the type of excitement we were about the experience when we started hiking up the mountain. As soon as we made it up the first ridge, we were met with bugles. As we got closer, the bugles got louder and we snuck into a spot that gave us a great chance at the herd bull. This morning was one of the mornings you live for as an archery elk hunter. Enjoy.
