BUGLING BULLS | AN ARCHERY ELK FILM

Фильм және анимация

Backcountry hunts transport us to some unbelievably wild and magnificent lands. That was certainly true on this Wyoming archery hunt Brad went on in September 2022. In a rough, out-of-the-way basin beyond where the trails ceased to exist Brad found a landscape full of numerous bugling bulls.
What transpired next was what might have been the best archery elk hunting Brad has ever experienced in a single hunting trip. On all sides dueling bulls announced their challenges from morning to night.
So will Brad capitalize on this bonanza of bugling bulls? Follow along on this wild adventure in the wild mountains of Wyoming to find out.
Grab yourself a seat and sit back and enjoy our latest film: “Lost Basin: An archery elk story.”

    I will take a 'raghorn' any day over a monster bull, some of the very best meat on the planet!! That meat will absolutely melt in your mouth, and that is a nice set of antlers to hang on any office wall, dark brown, some of the best colored antlers come from our great state of Wyoming, and the best meat of all!!

    Man - made my night seeing this pop up on my feed. I’m Colorado bound in 4 weeks from today. Been training all year (per usual). Rest assured, Mr. Brad - my Argali 4 person will be housing my buddy and me, and my Serac will be close at hand should the Good Lord give us a bugling wink! You’re my top guy to emulate in the elk woods - so deliberate and so patient. Thoroughly soak in all your work. :).

    Great video, except for two things. We didn't see the elk at the shot, I'd much rather see the elk, than the elk hunter, and the Llama wreck wasn't recorded. Both rather key elements, IMO. Congrats on a great DYI hunt!

    I am renting two llamas this year for a wilderness elk hunt. Any llama tips? My plan is to debone the rear quarters and take 2 trips to pack them out. Will be in anywhere from 2 to 8 miles. What caused the llamas to take the tumble?

  • @Argali

    @Argali

    9 ай бұрын

    We've used them for many years and the biggest thing you can do is make sure you're getting good pack stock from a reputable place. aside from that, packing them properly, keeping pack saddles appropriately tight, even weight on paniers, etc is important. The spill was caused by a young llama that got jumpy on a narrow trail and then dragged the other llama with him. A seasoned llama wouldn't have had issues.

    Update: believe that's Grouse Whortleberry. It often grows in combination with huckleberry bushes. It's a dwarf shrub that grows under evergreen forests throughout the Rockies. It's related to huckleberries and produces a small berry that grouse feed on.

    I dont understand why on most all your films u keep it a secret as to what state you are hunting and will never mention the state in your videos especially when u are hunting ur own state of Idaho, but when u come over here to my state you make sure n tell ur entire platform u are hunting Wyoming... I dont agree with that at all, but oh well because fortunately for us Natives you NRs are really starting to have a tough time drawing tags here, so u most likely wont even draw another general here for 4-6 years
